About Who Gives A Crap

We started Who Gives A Crap in 2012 when we learned that 2.4 billion people don’t have access to a toilet (now 2 billion – yay for progress!). That’s about 40% of the global population and means that around 289,000 children under five die every year from diarrhoeal diseases caused by poor water and sanitation. That’s one child every two minutes. We’re striving to make the world a better place by doing the following:

  • Providing sustainable high-quality toilet paper to you
  • Donating 50% of our profits to our non-profits helping to build toilets, deliver clean water and improve sanitation all around the world
  • Constantly striving to ensure our business operates in an ethical, sustainable, and socially responsible fashion

Wasn’t sure this would be as strong as the leading brand but it is! Longer rolls, a box of 28 has lasted me two months so far with plenty left. Very good value.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt is very difficult subject to comment on,comes well packed in fact best yet, more for your money ,
bot you have to use more as it is a lot thinner than normal toilet tissue.Overall it is quite expensive compered to other brands, but to be fair i quite like it.

I bought these loo rolls as early Christmas stocking fillers as a joke for my family, wrapped up in threes like Christmas crackers in posh paper so looks like really expensive prezzies, hoping for a few laughs when they’re opened and “who gives a crap” is revealed. Can’t comment on using them though as I haven’t which is why I put 3 stars for softness & absorbency as I don’t know.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI love that these are plastic free – the main reason I bought them, and think the packaging and ethos of the company is great. The rolls are long and good value for money so definitely a better option than the standard supermarket brands. I chose the recycled version as I’m not completely convinced that using bamboo transported all the way from China is more sustainable than using paper from managed European forests. The same bleaching chemicals are used and the carbon footprint and ecological impact can’t be great, especially if forests are cleared to make way for bamboo plantations. I thought the recycled version would be more environmentally friendly, although I would prefer if it wasn’t bleached. Unfortunately the paper just completely disintegrates when I use it and I end up having to pick bits of toilet paper off my privates. Other recycled toilet paper I have used has not disintegrated this badly so I really wish you could make it a bit stronger! If you could I would have definitely given this five stars.
