Little fiddly but work brilliantly – I say a little fiddly, but far less fiddly than creating the whole rig yourself. Attach fairly easily and adding bait is easier than usual too. The proof was in the catch – best Carp for me so far since taking up the sport again – 12 Lbs

Strong even against the toughest of fish.

These a good quality fishing rigs and come with a variety of sizes of hooks. You can see and feel that they are well made and come with the tools needed to affix the bolies with as a bonus.

Really nice set. 24 rigs for this price is a good deal. Hooks look like good quality ones. Will update my review after fishing trip when I’ll be able say something about performance and durability. So far 5 stars.
Ok so in the picture on the order page it shows sizes 2 – 4 – 6 – 8 now in the description it says what colour do you want ? I picked #8 so what colour is number 8 … well as you can see from the picture it’s actualy size 8 not colour 8 what ever that is. Not very good guys
Four packs containing size 8 one of each size would have been much better as a choice .. not sure what that colour was on the page lol think it was 2,4,6,8 should have realised.
A little big actualy for my choice of hook but thy may be handy at some time.
These are a decent type of hook Wide Gape Krank Barbless Telfon Carp Hooks Anti-Tangle Swivel braided line Rig’s, the shape of the hooks I have used before with good results these makes them ideal for carp. Nice lengh line from hook to swivel , the braid looks good but i have had simular brade that sheared a few times but that may have been my casting. On the whole with hook and drill tool and stops a resonable price you can get cheaper ones on the market. Think next time i’ll order colour 2-4-6-8 ;P
For anyone who is a little unsure about how to put together a hair rig then this kit provides you with a ready made answer and one of good quality. Fred Crouch will be turning in his grave if he has seen these ! To those who may not know of Fred, he was also known as “Mr Barbel” due to his uncanny ability to catch barbel with a monotonous regularity. He just knew how to do it.
However he despised the whole concept of the hair rig, claiming that it was cheating because the bait wasn’t directly mounted on the hook ! Now I have a lot of respect for Fred and his achievements but I don’t agree with him on that one. I think the development of the hair rig was a piece of angling genius and should be regarded as just another valid method to catch our quarry.
Personally I only use this method occasionally. Like Fred I almost exclusively fish for barbel and usually use a gigantic piece of meat mounted on a substantial hook. But there are times when a hair rig is called for and then I would have to make one up. I can make them but it’s not something I like doing and that is where this kit comes in.
There are a range of hook sizes and each is mounted with a good quality braid, and has a swivel that is protected by a silicone sleeve to prevent tangles, and to which your line is to be tied. There is a guide fitted to the hook shank that the braid passes through and this keep everything well aligned. Then there is the hair itself , which is just a continuation of the braid and which has a loop at the end for fixing the boilie stop. These rigs have a fairly long hair but not stupidly so. They even have a small silicone rugby ball shaped bead on the hair which will help to prevent the bait slipping. These braided hook lengths have got everything.
The kit comes with a boilie drill and a threader which even has a clip to ensure that the loop of braid doesn’t slip off whilst you are passing it through the hole that you have made in the boilie. The tools aren’t of the greatest quality and I suspect that after some use they may come away from the handles but that remains to be seen and for occasional use should be fine.
The hooks themselves seem of good quality. They are a decent gauge of steel and of a pattern I like. They are wide gape, barbless and short shanked. They have a slightly turned in point and are sharp. I expect them to be up to the job that they are intended for.
For such well constructed hair rigs, and especially appealing to anyone who hasn’t used a hair rig before, I think these are decent value at 11.99 to 12.99 (at time of review) depending on the chosen selection. So often ready made products like this have turned out to be poor quality , badly made tat, that seems designed to let you down. These rigs are of very good quality and well put together and I will be happy to use them.

30lb braid and a selection of hook sizes 2, 4, 6 & 8 in the option I bought. Hooks are barbless, the line length around 210mm.

I purchased the different sizes pack as I plan on using them in several different locations in northern england for carp fishing mainly.
They are pretty much exactly how I usually set up my rigs but it’s already done for you and at a good price for the tackle too. One thing I really appreciate is the inclusion of almost everything you need here to get a good boilie setup or something similar.
I will definitely give an update when I take them out and test them in the waters as soon as the weather clears up on my days off work.
As an avid carp angler for around 50 years these unheard of Chinese hair rigs are not something I would have paid for (BEORE NOW), no I would normally either make my own or buy a reliable known make such as Korda and the like.
But as I know carp fishing well I thought I should review them.
For the price you get an enormous amount of stuff, 24 hair rigs, lots of bait stops and a bait drill and gated baiting needle.
The hair rigs themselves surprised me and that they are actually good quality:
PROS:
Hooks are sharp.
Knots are well made and strong.
hairs have a stop on them to prevent bait slipping towards the hook.
Swivel end has antitangle sleeve fitted.
Cons:
If I am being picky I think the hair is a tad too long especially for the smaller 12mm and below boilies, but many anglers do prefer longer hairs so that is just my preference.
Rigs are about 20cm long which I think is ample.
Rigs are made from supple braid with no stiff coating and are suitable for bottom baits, maybe wafters. They could be used for pop-ps with some added putty or weight below the hook but probably better rigs for pop-ups in my opinion.
The drill and baiting needle seem okay but not great quality but there again I consider these just a freebie as it is the rigs you are buying.
Same for the bait stops, there are some extender stops to keep set the bait further still away from the hook which are great at doing that but as said as the hairs are very long I doubt you will need them, for me I would prefer a shorter hair and then use these extender stops if I did want to replicate a longer hair but this is a small thing to put up with.
At the time of writing this review they were about 13 so pretty much around 54p a rig compared to 2 to 3 a piece for the big names.
As yet not had a carp session to try them out but using a couple of puller they seem strong so I will use them next time out and update the review.
In short definitely worth the money and especially for those on a budget these are a must, simple hair rigs they may be but I am sure they will catch you fish.
great hooks, nice and sturdy and work well, no issues attaching to line, caught a few carps using these, very good hooks indeed, came well packaged, none were missing and all in good condition.

I received the set with 4 different sized rigs or size 2, 4, 6 and 8.
Each pack has 6 rigs so these will keep me going for ages!
Also included as 3 different types of boilie retainers, a boilie drill and a pull through hook – so everything you need in a rig setup.
The top of the lines are nicely done with swivels too as are the hooks and boilie loops.
I haven’t had chance to use them as yet but I see no reason why they shouldn’t perform well.
These have proven to be very handy in a very short space of time. If I was to be getting back into carp fishing and did not want to spend the earth buying all the kit to tie my own rigs this is where I will go from now on.
Simply as a matter of convenience, the rights have a swivel that you can half blood knot onto your line. This makes it really easy to swap the rigs within just a few minutes if you decide that the hooks you are using are too big.
The rigs feel strong and appear to be well tied with a high degree of quality control. I have weights tested them with a scale, but unfortunately not hooked a large enough fish to put the line through its paces in the field. The scale however identified that the braid was definitely up to spec.
There is also every piece of kit needed to core, and attached bait such as bailies or dog biscuits to your line, there is a drill and hook on super useful florescent handles so you don’t loose them, which I have done myself so many times in the past.
Overall: a brilliant buy and a very happy customer.

I particularly like the ability to slide the hair up the hook shank.
They are neat and tidy perhaps to make it a 5 star review would be to offer a variety of colours for different types of lake bed to camouflage in.

These are pretty good value for money as you get quite alot for your money, the quailty is good too.
They are exactly as the description describes, no issues and can reccomend.
This is a nice set of carp hooks got these for my dad he loves sea and freshwater fishing.
You receive everything you need in this pack just clip it on and away you fish.
