The car key attached to a keyring on a chain inside the pouch.. the car won’t open or start with the key inside the pouch so it works well to keep it safe I bought a couple of them one for the key I carry and one for the spare key. I’d happily buy again and recommend to friends and family and anyone else who wants to keep a car safe

Background. A Faraday cage is a metal cage or frame that blocks radio signals. (The reason your phone won’t work inside some metal framed buildings without big windows, eg large department stores)
So putting your keyless entry car key inside the pouch blocks the signal so your car cannot be unlocked or started. It works too, with the car key inside the pouch my car won’t unlock even with the pouch touching the door handle.
A couple of caution points. There are two pockets inside, the rear one with the metallised gold lining is the protected one – make sure your car key goes into that one and the top is folded down (there’s a hook & loop closure) to completely enclose it. The front pocket is unprotected so could be used for a spare battery for the car key or an AirTag if you’re a habitual loser of car keys.
Second caution point is the pouch is quite small, so if you have a big chunky car key, a chunky keyfob or a bunch of door keys attached to your car key it will be too small. For scale, a stack of 9 credit cards could be inserted into the protected pocket, no more.
Construction is solid, with a nice carbon weave outer. There’s a snap hook on the rear to attach the pouch to something plus a short chain with a ring on the end inside the protected pocket to fix the car key to the pouch.
Pack of 2 pouches? Most cars have two keys – don’t forget to put the spare key into a pouch too!
Also recommended to carry a spare pouch in your car for use at restaurants, hotels etc if you normally just use these pouches in the home overnight and leave them there

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersYou do need to place your keys in the correct pocket of the pouch. The rear one with the gold webbing and the internal key ring.

works perfectly and I’m happy to correct my initial review
