63 in Tripod Stand
==============
Great stand that’s easily assembled and not heavy at all. Whilst not particularly studio quality you get a set with adjustable height. The various colours filters slide on and off. Overall good for home use. Currently selling for 63.99
Great lighting kit.
Ideal for photography and filming projects.
The tripods are very sturdy and adjustable to the height you need them to be. They start at 105cm in height and can be adjusted to 205cm.
The lights are also adjustable, there are ten levels of brightness and the position of the lights can be adjusted at a 360 degree angle.
Coloured filters are also included that can be layered to create various colours.
Overall great piece of equipment for filming and photography.
Obeamiu’s LED wands deliver stunning 5600K daylight-balanced light. This means you’ll get consistent, natural illumination for your photos and videos, enhancing your subjects and making colors pop.
Designed with longevity in mind, Obeamiu’s LED wands are built to last. They use energy-efficient LED technology, which not only produces high-quality light but also saves power, ensuring a longer lifespan.
Obeamiu is known for offering outstanding value for your money, and this kit is no exception. You’re getting a premium lighting setup at an affordable price.
This set includes two LED video light wands, two 63-inch tripod stands, three color filters (red, blue, yellow), two 360 ball heads, and two USB charger adapters. The LED wands are super bright and fully dimmable. You can adjust the brightness from 10% to 100% and use the color filters for different lighting effects. The kit also comes with a 63″ aluminum light stand that can be adjusted in height and angle which is excellent.
I have used various sets of lights for use as a home studio, and there are several plus points I’ve noted with this set compared to the others. For a start each of the lights are powered separately so can be placed for convenience rather than being limited by a short linking cable.
The tripods are adjustable for height so are good for both table/desk mounting, or using on the ground. Although they feel a little less rigid than I’d like they are nicely light in weight so good when they need to be carried or stored. The brightness of the lights can be altered too which is good.
The only downside for me is that the colour tone of the lights is fixed at 5600k. That’s great for general use and is a rough approximation of daylight but there are times when I would like something warmer, and the filters supplied here don’t allow that. Aside from that limitation I’m pleased with this set.
I do a lot of work outside of a studio and travel a lot for some of my shoots so these have been perfect for me to take on the road.
They’re easy to use and provide the perfect amount of light that I’ve needed to use.
With variable lighting strength available, you can really work with these to get the light that you want/need.
I can’t fault them.
In a nutshell:
Things I liked:
+ An all-in-one fairly portable lighting set. Each light requires its own power source – a good thing, I think, as you are likely to want the lights to be situated away from each other.
+ The lights perform fairly well, providing 5600K light at varying brightness levels. The brightness can be altered, the colour temperature cannot.
+ As they are essentially just USB powered, they can be powered by power bank (as long as the powerband can provide 10W of power – 5V 2A).
Things I didn’t like:
– They don’t feel like 60 worth of lights. I have cheap 15 USB lights that feel of similar quality. You’re paying for the tripods and other stuff too.
– The colour options are just coloured overlays – they work, but it’s a bit of an inelegant solution and contributes to the overall cheap feel of the lights.
Do I recommend it?
If you need a very basic starter set of lights, then yes. As long as you’re happy with the compromises you have to make (coloured overlays, fairly middling performance, cheap overall feel), they’ll do a job.
The Obeamiu wand lights surprised me completely.
They are lightweight, come in a pair, with lightstands, USB charger adapter, three colour filters each, ball head everything you need is included which is a nice touch. The lights are brighter than I thought they was going to be, you can turn down the brightness level.
You can power the lights using a power bank that makes these truly portable I got a good battery life when using on location BUT of course this will depend on the power bank you are connecting them to.
Overall I am happy with the light wand sticks.
In this kit you get two complete light assemblies. These are arrived simply packaged in a plain brown box with minimal non-recyclable plastic packaging.
Each light consists of a folding tripod, a ball mount the light and three filters. Surprisingly you also get a USB power brick for each light.
Each tripod is fairly lightweight but suitable for this job and is adjustable from around two foot to five foot. The height is set using locking screws it would have been nice if these had utilized quick set clamps but perhaps at this price that would not have been feasible.
The light has 11 intensities but the color cannot be changed so is set at what appears to be a daylight white which is probably best suited for photography and videography.
At an RRP of 60 quid I feel these are possibly a little on the pricey side as you can get set with bigger lights and variable color temperature for around the same money.
Good quality and stable stands. Very quick to set-up and versatile to use.
USB powered so if you do not have access to the mains, you can power the lights with a powerbank that adds versatility to it.
The brightness of the lights are customizable to suit the effect you want. The additional filters are a good free addition to the set.
Sturdy enough for travel and not very heavy compared to my other steel photography lamp stand but with the LED lights instead of my usual halogen lights, you wont need a very heavy stand. That is why this is my go to lights when I need to travel.
These are great starter lights for new photographers but would be very useful for photographers who need less weight to carry when traveling.
The brightness range and color filters are a cinch to adjust, offering a variety of lighting conditions to suit various scenarios. Handling is quite simple, and the stand is both sturdy and versatile. However, the controls could be more intuitive. Fumbling around to find the right settings in the middle of a shoot is less than ideal. While not without its quirks, it mostly does what it promises to do.
There is a lot to like about this lighting rig and not too much to worry about with this set.
The kit consists of two LED light heads, two tripods, two sets of coloured filters and two ball joint multi-angled mounting brackets.
The lights offer a great range of lighting over ten settings from subdued to high shine, which is operated via the controllers on the power cable. Equally, the coloured filters offer a nice additional feature of adding both warmth or coolness to your shots, which actually work quite well.
The cables on both LED lights have a reasonable length and whilst maybe a little more would be ideal, they are not the shortest I’ve seen in this type of product. The lights have USB connectors and are powered by the supplied USB power plugs. However, if you are need to, they can be powered using a power bank, which is great if you are in a location with no or limited power supply.
The light heads are well made from a lightweight aluminium, as are the tripods.
In reference to the lightweight nature of this kit, this I feel works both for and against it. The kit is both light and compact, making it anything but bulky to take on the road with you. Although, there is no carry case/box supplied, so you will need something suitable, other than the box they come in to carry them around.
The slight negative with this lighting setup is the fact that they are lightweight, this means that they are easy to knock over. Taking them outdoors is risky, unless it is a completely wind/breeze free day, as these will get blown all over the place. You could try adding some weight to the tripods, but even then, I would do so with caution.
The best environment to use these lights is in a studio in a fixed position. Should you need to move them around, the least amount possible would be advised.
Setting the lights up to illuminate your subject is actually very good, there is a very short to tall height to work with (33-63 inches) and having a ball joint mount means that you can position the light heads in most positions to get the focus exactly where you need it to be.
Some of the best situations to use these lights would be for portrait (which is what I’m using them for), macro for plants or small wildlife and for taking food/drink shots.
These lights are perfect for me and exactly what I was looking for, as I am only going to use them at home and they will be set up in a safe environment that is free from the lights getting damaged. I am mostly using them for portrait photography, in a makeshift studio. In this situation they work fantastically well and are very good value for their purchase price, as they produce very good results in eliminating unwanted shadowing and accentuating light focus in specific areas that you require it.
I think this kit is very good for light/moderate home or small studio use and on that basis would very much recommend them.
I picked this set up for some extra lighting for my photography.
In the box there are two LED light strips, a set of colour filters, two tripods and a user guide. The lights are USB powered so can be powered from an AC outlet or with a power bank when you are on the move. The tripod stands are fairly basic but good enough for this purpose. Getting everything set up is fairly straight forward. The tripods can be a little fiddly at first but once you are used to the design it isn’t much bother. The illumination provided isn’t bad considering that it is using USB for power. It certainly useful for some fill in. Adding the colour filters will reduce the illumination but it is a nice touch to have them.
A decent set that is priced a little on the high side. The quality is decent and you do get two light and sets of filters.
A little too expensive for what they are. I would but them in the 40 range, during this review they cost 69.
If you’re just starting to film/photography then I see them having so use. Myself? I might use them in the background to help set a mood.
I worry that they might be more hassle then there worth during my next project. Removing LED bleeding once we have shoot, especially blue can be a nightmare.
But I do see lots of possibilities with them. Being 5v usb devices mean you can take them out and about at night, and get some fun shots at night whilst playing with shutter speeds.
So a 4**** from me, the build of the lights and tripods is a little on the cheap side for me, but if your on a budget they could just be perfect for you!
This is a 2 pack led video light wand stick that can provide soft and even lighting for various purposes. It has a color temperature of 5600K and a brightness of 1000LM. It also comes with 4 color filters (red, green, blue, and yellow) that can create different effects and moods. It is very easy to operate, as it has a remote control that can adjust the brightness and switch the colors. It also has a rechargeable battery that can last for about 2 hours on full charge. Very easy to setup. Can be used for various occasions (vlogging or just putting on make-up).
I’m not a pro photographer, but even so, i can see many uses for these lights. They happily power from my USB power bank and that makes then super portable. Ideal for DIY task lighting, or a bit of extra light in the garden if you have people over, or BBQ’ing into the darkness many things. Very compact when packed away, about half a shoe box in size, and really quick to put up and down. Slide in RYB filters can be combined in pairs, to get green for example. Not the last word in robustness, but they feel like a bit of a bargain at 60. Recommended.
The lights arrived safely, and they come nicely packed inside a plain cardboard box.
The lights are powered by USB, and they come with two mains plugs with a single USB output on each. You can also plug the lights into a battery power bank as long as it outputs 5V2A.
The tripods do look and feel a bit cheap, and they will most likely break if not properly looked after, but they are sturdy enough to hold the lights and are also very lightweight so easy to move about. The tripod and light can go from approx. 1 metre in height all the way up to 2 metres and they fold down into quite a small footprint. The quality of the lights themselves seems very good, no issues.
Each light has 108 LEDs, and the brightness is fully adjustable. They do get fairly bright, but I wish they were a bit brighter as I need to use a third light in my studio when the room is dim in order to see the subject properly. I like that you get three different coloured filters to slide in the lights, but these have no use for me.
Overall, I think these are pretty good studio lights and at around 60 I feel they represent good value for money. It’s a product I’m happy to recommend and I feel four stars is appropriate for them.
I upcycle furniture and this kit has been great for lighting my staged photos and I can get some really nice effects using the filters. It’s easy to set up and operate and has plenty of different settings depending on what effect I’m going for. The adjustable heads mean I can direct the light where I need it and eliminate shadows where I don’t want them. So far I’m really happy with them and would happily recommend.
These are really lightweight but I think the light quality itself is very good and they are simple/quick to set up (and just as easy to fold back down after each use). The actual tripod is easy to adjust in terms of height and the angle of the lamp heads because they attached with a ball joint – they feel very accessible to me, very beginner friendly.
I’ve been trying the lights for food and product photography as well as artistic applications and it’s been good being able to play around with brightness and shadow as I tend to rely on natural light usually. I can see them having wide application though and the fact that you get two of the same lights, really gives you more control over the lighting of your subject.
The lights have adjustable brightness and you get colour filters included (these slide in easily and you can layer up to 2 colours at a time, if you want to do this). The lamps are also USB-powered making them extremely portable (USB-to-Mains adapter plugs are also included). I think they are good value lights if you’re on a small budget; very portable and versatile in terms of how and where you can use them.
This lighting kit has been a simple but effective addition to my photography setup. The adjustable brightness and colour filters provide versatility for different scenarios. The included tripod stands are sturdy, though not exceptionally so, and the 360 ball heads offer good flexibility. It’s not top-of-the-line equipment, but it’s handy for someone who needs decent, affordable lightingoptions.
These come with 2 light bars and 2 tripods, doesnt have a remote but a built in in line button toggle. To change colours you add the sheet of colour you want manually, good quality and nice packaging.
Nice little pair of lights.
Been using them to do the room painting till late into the night.
Flexible, height and angle can be adjusted to suit your need, also the brightness.
However, it’s a very manual slide in colour filter if you want to change colour- only the primary colours.
It is ready to be used throughout the household.
Robust pole and quite stable legs.
Good price at 56 with voucher.
A good little kit these with one drawback that I’ll come to later.
The lights are of nice quality, the stands are okay for the price, a little wobbly but not a deal breaker. The brightness of the light bars can be stepped up and down and turned on and off with an in-line switch setup on the usb cable, neat!
The 3 colour filters are a nice touch but I don’t think I’ll end up using them.
Now, the drawback for me: I don’t trust the usb power supplies. They weigh nothing which usually means corners have been cut in safety, they are only rated at 2 amps which the lights can draw easily (power supply should be rated to more than is necessary and not equal to), making the adapters pretty hot inside. Also they do not carry the UKCA mark which is mandatory now. I believe old stock can still be sold under the CE mark, but really they should update it. Anyway, I will be using my own, higher quality power supplies, especially with the constant high current draw of the lights at full power. I’d rather not take the risk.
decent enough for the price but not as bright as you would expect stands have plastic fixings the whole thing is lightweight but not overly durable so it really depends on what you prioritize
A very simple to use lighting system, can be powered via the included USB 3 pin charger or any USB power banks. It comes with 2 lightstand tripod with ball head attachment, the light bars can be positioned however you want. It does not draw a lot of power and does not get too hot to touch.
There are prime colour gel strips which you slot infront of the LEDs which I can be creative with it. Super easy to move around in the studio and although not very bright and no colour temperature adjustments, this will be very handy in tight budget scenario.
This is a twin light bar kit that includes
2 X Tripods
3 X colour screen
2 X aluminium light bars
Accessories … power supply, ball head 1/4 threads
Very simple to set up and use the light bars are machined well made from aluminium with a black finish The controls are basic midway along the power lead which is USB But can be used with plug if prefered
The length of the cable is long enough to give you some range in setting up your scene or stage set up
There’s only one way to mount them but the ball head and tripod alow you to raise the light high or change the angle overall its pretty good the tripods are basic but functional with adjustable height and locking nuts to keep it where you need it
Brightness is OK both lights together is quite good
Although only one temperature setting around 6500k the colour screens alow for some creative lighting with a Red blue and yellow slide that slots in place
Its perfect for beginners, content creators, photographers, I would f really liked a carry case or bag of some sort to make it more mobile but overall its good
I now have a solid little collection of lights and light stands.
These lights are surprisingly good. They are pretty bright, however I personally don’t really see them as wand lights as I associate wand lights with a light quality which doesn’t have clear individual LEDs and the LEDs in this are clearly distinguishable, this feels more like a long, narrow panel light. And that’s fine, as a panel light it works really well, and the long and narrow nature of them means you don’t get much horizontal light spillage and I find they give a pleasing light.
These are a single colour light, but they do come with some plastic strips to act as colour gels, to be honest I tend to just use white light anyway and use a separate light (by Aputure) for any colour accents.
The lights are light (as it were) and feel pretty plasticky – but that’s expected at this price point, I’m not expecting magnesium alloy cases! It also makes them easy to travel with as it keeps weight down and they is crucial if you are travelling with these lights in your kit.
The stands aren’t very sturdy, but to be honest, they aren’t much less sturdy than any other budget light stand, and for these lights they work perfectly fine. The lights themselves have a brass screw-hole rather than plastic so they should last. The ball heads are budget but feel pretty solid, and all the spigots are solid metal.
The overall set up is impressive for a starter home studio or as a couple of travel lights to add some fill, rim or background light. They are powered by USB (and come with plugs) but that means that a powerbank could power these and give you hours of continuous lighting. They’re easy to use too using the controls (simply up, down and on/off).
So – to summarise. I’ve given these four stars rather than five because they aren’t premium, which is probably quite harsh because I do recommend them. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would!. They are a great starter set for someone, they should give years of use in a home studio and would be good budget options for someone wanting some extra lights for travel. The LED circuits may be distinguishable but they don’t cast “blobby” light, the plastic fronts to a good job of diffusing the light enough to soften out the edge and give a fairly uniform light.
This set of 2 stand lights gives out a reasonable amount of white light with the option to add coloured filters that slide into the light fitting. The downside to using physical filters is you lose a fair bit of the light output by effectively blocking it, a compromise of not using a true RGB light output but at the price you can’t expect this to compete with more expensive light setups. For what it is it’s not bad, you get 2 tall tripod stands bringing the lights to well above head height with ball socket attachments for angling the lights however you need them. There’s adjustment buttons to select light level on an inline switch as well as the power button, they run off standard USB A outputs so you could power them from multiple sources including battery packs for remote use if needed, they’re supplied with 2 usb plugs for connecting to mains power.
Overall they’re not bad if you mainly need pure white light, if you need more selectable colour temperatures or hues I’d suggest looking for an RGB setup instead, the supplied filters just can’t output as much light as you’d expect once fitted especially if using more than one.
Over the years I have used a variety of supplementary light sources for still and video photography ranging initially from photofloods through on / off camera lights (or flash) up to the use more recently of block LCD video lights. Some of these also included filters to alter the light source origin type (daylight, tungsten etc) so how does this pair of lights (with stands) perform and what do I think they are most suited for? The units came in an overall box then the two lights in one box and light stands in individual boxes, No bags or anything for storage. In the light stand boxes there were also a ball head attachment for the light and a three pin to USB plug to power the lights. The (3) colour filters are in with the lights as is a small but comprehensive instruction leaflet
Ease of set up — the only minor issues are the draping cables from the lights (ca 3m long with on off switch reasonably sited) and the fitting of the lights at the right height / angle ( First set up your tripod to height, add the ball head with angle for light, screw on the light) Evidently designed to be left set up. The colour filters come as plastic strips which slide into groves on the strip lights
Light Shape — most traditional photographic / video / cinematic camera lights have been round or square — often with diffusers, “flags” or doors to limit the area illuminated and are often used as a set of three (highlight, sidelight, backlight). These are more like strip lights which illuminate a strip rather than a large area – this can be suitable for certain applications like food or still life (see applications). Still experimenting on the strengths / weaknesses of the design.
Intensity — Easily adjustable but the light levels I would classify as low to moderate
Applications — Given that this is a two and not a three light set up, portraiture is limited to balanced light effect overall. OK for still life shadowless recording
Value for money — A reasonable flexible starter pack, depending on the intended applications.
Based on these preliminary assessments I would rate the unit at 4. 5 star but may give a full 5 star rating on extended use
This is one of those things that is constructed well and does what it says it’ll do, so I don’t feel as though I can rate this too low, but ultimately I don’t think that this is worth the money since similar items of a similar quality are available here, at a lower cost.
I’ll update my review if I ever experience any issues with this, but right now the quality is solid.
This light wand set is very easy to set up. The lights can be adjusted at any angle and the tripods can go from 33inches to 63 inches. You also get colour filters which slot into the wands. The brightness of the lights can be adjusted in 10% increments, at full brightness they are good for close up photography, with the lights close to the subject. The tripods don’t feel very steady, but as long you place them where they wont get knocked they are fine. The whole set is lightweight making it easily portable.
This little set replaces my older softboxes with fluorescent lights. Its very portable, easy to use and the brightness is , i would say, sufficient for most video and photo projects. The set is power efficient, at the attached photos, you can see its being powered from solar battery, and gives sufficient illumination.
The only downside – the lights not having colourful led, its only a white light. However, there are coloured gels to use but these are not as practical as colour changing led’s. This is the only reason I took away one star from my review. Other than that, this is a very reasonable priced, good quality lighting setup for various home video projects. Recommended.
A nice set of two LED light bars, with the inclusion of tripods. The light bars themselves have a good soft diffused lighting with 10 levels of brightness, and depending on the project your your working on there are two ball heads included and three light gel strips, Red, Blue and Yellow. Just connect the USB plug adapters to the ends of the light cable and control the lights vis the basic on/off unit on the cable, plus brightness adjustments. Its a good set up at an affordable price, but I didn’t like the tripods as I found them quite unstable to be honest, but they get the job done. I will be using these for music videos and setting them up behind my electric drum kit and guitarist as fill lights.
These lights are a great budget option for those seeking cost-effective lighting that saves space. The light quality is exceptional, providing even light without any unwanted tint. The diffusion sheets provide ambient highlights, making them even more versatile.
With a dimmer on the USB cable, I have full control over the light intensity. The kit is versatile, allowing me to direct the light using the stand and tripod adapter. It is a great portable option for shooting indoors or on location, as I can easily plug both lights into a power bank.
These lights work well as fill lights or for adding an ambient glow. However, they are not bright enough to illuminate an entire frame. I used them in combination with my key light. The brightness could be improved, as it is not impressive when set to full brightness.
The supplied colour diffusions are simply tinted plastic that slides into the rail provided. You could easily use them as a stencil to cut a colour of your choosing from tinted vinyl or something similar.
Overall, I recommend these lights as fill lights, but not as a standalone light source. They are great for creating a neon lighting look or removing shadows from a subject. They are lightweight and compact, making them easy to store in a box after use.
Hope this review helps someone out.
You receive a surprising good set up, given this is under 80
You have two LED light strips, which give a good width of light, each has an adjustable tripod.
The tripods are light weight, and easy to pop up and down, these not amazing quality but perfectly good for the light panels, can be a little wobbly.
You can adjust the light panels, there are 10 different levels, the levels are in 10% increments.
A great set up, don’t expect a professional set but this is a well priced set up, easy to move about, nice and light and very effective.
