Last winter we lost some expensive plants because we hadn’t wrapped them for winter, so I ordered these to ensure that didn’t happen again! This pack of three 80 x 120cm bags are ideal for my medium sized specimen plants. They’re a good size, so fit the plants without squashing and the zip ensures they are easy to fit. The drawstring bottom also cinches in well to keep the cold air at bay. So I’m very happy with these, and because they can re-used they offer good value for money, especially when you think they are also saving the plants to ensure you dint have to buy again. Five stars.
I appreciate it’s not the best photo and possibly looks more like a halloween gathering, but I have to say, these things are great. Zipper up one side, drawstring with sprung ball-clips so the;re easy to cinch at the bottom. They feel good quality and I’m sure they’re sturdy enough to protect my cherry and fig trees in their tubs. Couldn’t be happier with these, excellent product at a sensible price.
I’m really happy with these garden tree/shrub covers there really big which is hamdy as I have some massive plants in my garden. I wrapped one of my Bannana trees with one of these and it was so big it fits perfectly. It has a zip down the side to open so it’s really wleasy to cover whatever your covering. It has toggles at the bottom which you can pull tight so noting gets in or under. You get two in the pack so there super affordable for what they are. I highly reccomend these thanks so much.
I was really surprised at quite how big these Jackets are (80 x 120 cm). There are three in the pack and they are much thicker than ones I have used in the past. There is a long zip down the side and a drawstring closure at one end. Really easy to slip over my Bottlebrush Plant and draw the drawstring up around the trunk.
As I do not need all three for my shrubs, I am intending to wrap my dried Dahlia corms in newspaper and pack them into one of the bags. The fact that they are breathable, will hopefully prevent the rot I suffered last winter.
At just over 3.00 per bag they may seem a bit pricy, but with nearly 40.00 to replace just one of my mature shrubs, they then start to look like good value.
I got these for some protection for my chilli and fruit plants during the winter. They are in a greenhouse but it adds another layer of protection to help them survive the cold. I was impressed by the size of these- the photo shows it laid out on the floor, and as you can see they really will hold any size of fruit free or plant you have! They have a zip for access and a bunch drawstring at the bottom to draw it in and keep the leaves/ fruit protected. It’s now late October and I’ll be added these to our plants shortly to help them along over the winter. The membrane fabric looks breathable, feels like it just blocks some of the cold but still allows air to circulate. I do t think you can go wrong with these no matter when size plants you have they’ll fit and just add a little something extra to help survive a cold snap.
These are quite a good size for covering up your potted shrubs with in the winter months you get three in a pack and they measure 120/180cm they have a good zipper to make it easy to put over your plant and a drawstring cord at the bottom to fasten the cover securely over your plant I used a similar product last year but these ones seem a good thicker quality and hopefully will protect my potted jasmine plants from the frost it is also best if you can once covered try and keep plants near the house in a sheltered location for extra protection these are well made and fit well and are easy to put on and take off and can be reused good value for three
I was slightly surprised at how large these are, but that is a good thing!
They arrived just in time for the cold snap. I have put one on a young olive and another on a tender fig. I find the bags much easier to use than the rolls of fleece which inevitably come unwrapped in the wind.
These will definitely stay in place and should give my plants all the protection they need over the winter.
This is truely amazing. As someone who every year has been outside wrestling in the wind with long bits of fleece, bricks and string this is perfect. It just slotted over my bottle brush plant. There is a drawstring at the bottom to secure to the base of the planter and I was able to unzip to check in and water the plant. I will see how it gets on getting my plant sunlight through the fleece but as it’s so easy to put on I can fold it back on sunny days. This was a really good and hard to get size.
Many garden plants, shrubs and small trees are sensitive to cold spells during the winter and are at risk of dying off when the adverse weather lasts longer than the plant can tolerate.
This is particularly true of some non-native varieties which normally grow in a frost-free climate, such as the popular cordyline plant found in many gardens in temperate regions.
These fleece covers are perfect for covering the delicate leaves of the cordyline, whether at the early stages of growth or as a small tree. In either case the slender leaves can be drawn upwards and loosely tied then enclosed in the fleece sleeve which has a zipped side and drawstring to aid the protection process.
This is a twin pack, each one measuring 6ft x 4ft, made from tough material which should last for several seasons of use.
We had four well established and quite elderly palms in pots, which had survived everything a British winter could throw at them for the last twenty five years!
However, last year, despite it being relatively mild with little snow or ice, two of them, of one certain type, died off completely. I was however, slightly pleased to note that the same variety in all the other gardens on the estate, met the same fate, so I didn’t feel quite so bad!
We cut them right back and to my amazement, they have both re-grown this year, although they now have the fragility of new plants, so I am determined to protect them this year.
These covers are perfect, as the pots are very large, so they will be well covered, and with the addition of zips as well as toggles, they are really easy to get on and off.
For a pack of three, I consider them to be great value for money!
I am hoping I won’t need to use them, but know that I am now prepared for winter to do its worst!
Ordered this Garden Fleece jacket (size 120 X 180cm) to put over one of our tropical plant in the garden so it has more of a chance of surviving the frost over winter. The jacket is not made of fleece it’s thicken polypropylene none woven fabric material.
Unlike some plant fleece jackets this one comes with a zip on the side so instead of removing the whole jacket to give the plant sunlight you can just unzip the side.
The fleece bag is simple to use, just place over the plant and use the drawstring to tighten around the plant base to keep the bag secure and in place.
A really good sized rectangular bag fleece. Note it really is quite big! It’s 180cm in height which is about 5’9!
The opening is on the narrow / short end of the rectangle so it’s perfect for putting over the top of a tall (up to 5’9 tall) upright plant or tree.
On the wide / long end of the rectangle they’ve thoughtfully put a zip in, so if you like, you could also create an opening along the wide end and use this sideways over a number of short plants.
The material is of a medium thickness and feels of good quality. Hopefully it won’t shred to pieces like the fleece on rolls I’ve used in the past, but those felt a lot softer and less sturdy than this one.
The fleece is bright white so it allows some light in. As I don’t have a polytunnel I was hoping to use this instead, using it as a warm-cover over a climbing beans wigwam to grow yard-long snake beans come spring. It can also be used instead of netting to protect your crops. I’m really excited to put this to the test next season and grow some crops in it that haven’t been able to thrive in our cool summers without a warm cover.
