I bought this monitor to attach as the screen permanently mounted and connected to my digital microscope camera. I could not get it to work at first.

It constantly displayed ‘No Signal’ when connected to the camera. When I plugged it into my MacBook or iPad – everything was perfect – great picture.

My microscope camera worked fine on my main Dell monitor – but the combination of this monitor and the camera was not a happy one.

I took a guess that this little monitor was not as forgiving as more expensive ‘bigger’ monitors when it came to the HDMI handshake. Rather than figuring out the best resolution, it just displayed ‘No Signal’.

After some frustrated researching, I bought a 1920X1080 EDID emulator from Amazon. This is a pass through connector for the HDMI cable that sets the resolution info so the monitor always detects the signal.

This did the trick – perfect picture. It cost an additional 20 to get it working.

If you want to use this monitor on a computer of some sort, I think you will have no problems. It’s a great picture, and given it cost me 80, I think it’s good value for money.

If, like me, you are using this as a small screen to add to a camera or some other piece of kit that might not have the most robust HDMI support then maybe this info will help you – and you can perhaps factor in the additional cost of the extra kit.

I think the price of this portable monitor is a little steep compared to other options available in the market. However, it is a good portable monitor despite its small size. The rear plastic stand is not very sturdy but because the screen is so lightweight it does the job. If you need a second monitor, it will work for you. I usually take it on the go with my laptop.

The monitor is very thin and light, and you can power it using TYPE-C to TYPE-C or TYPE-C to USB A. However, you still need to connect video via mini HDMI to HDMI. You can power it with pretty much any USB port plug, I even tried it with my gaming console USB and it worked fine.

The quality is good, and I didn’t notice any issues with it. You can get pretty good video quality up to 1200P, which is good enough for what I need it for. The internal speakers are not the best, and the volume is pretty low even on max volume. However, there is a headphone jack on the side if you want to plug in headphones to play or watch.

I found the controls to be better than other monitors I have seen. The buttons are there and are pretty easy to learn and follow. The picture was pretty fluid and I did not strain my eyes playing games on this. I also use it with my work laptop when I need to work remotely. Having two monitors is pretty useful, and one of this size means it’s quite an efficient portable option for loads of uses.

Overall, it is a good monitor to have as a secondary or travel screen. You can plug in gaming consoles or computers, and it does not require a ton of power, so you can use any USB port. The only downside is that the monitor could benefit from a better stand and speakers. Nonetheless, the video quality is pretty good for a handful of uses. Granted the price is a little steep but once it comes down, this could be a great little addition to your laptop bag.

Hope this review helps someone out.

Although I normally use a 16″ monitor, I bought this to use with my Mini PC when I’m away in my motorhome.
The monotor is very compact, image is very clear, two HDMI ports are available should I want to use an additional monitor. And it wasn’t expensive.

Got this screen for an addition to my PC as iam using it at present through the HDMI port into my PC HDMI port although this could be used for a variety of applications like attaching to you phone for a bigger display when watching movies or you tube etc via its USB C connection also where I think this might be more useful as it increases the screen size of your host device athough this being the non touch screen model it does limit its usefullness for that.

Power lead is included and a HDMI cable that feels good quality although it is quite thick and not that flexible so siting of the device is important and needs some thinking about.

I imagine this could be used in some work place situations also perhaps out of the office etc just best to think about how and where you would use this.

As far as the quality of the monitor is it is very clear with excellent resolution from it 1920 x 1200 display, colours are bright and vivid with no discernible bleeding into the colours and saturation.

There is a brightness control if you wish to tailor this also.

There is also no lag in functionality and keyboard strokes or mouse movement from the host device to the monitor.

To sum up my review of this monitor I would say the display quality is excellent and it has good connectivity but think clearly before you purchase as to what application you would use this for.

Initially I am disappointed, but I did not read the detail properly when I bought this. I had assumed that it would both power from and connect to my laptop via USB c like my larger portable screen. It only takes power from USB c though meaning I have to plug in 2 cables which is annoying.

The screen functions perfectly other than that though.

I’ve not tried the touch screen capabilities yet though as I was only planning on using it as an extra USB c powered screen and didn’t bring the dedicated power cable (touch screen doesn’t work with USB c power).

I bought this as a touchscreen to attach to my PC to test out Home Assistant layouts and to use as a panel for that. It does a really good job.
It could be that I’m using Mini Display port to drive it (its a 4K capable cable that I have used on a 4K Display so it a good one as far as I can tell) but it wont get to 1900 x 1200, I get it to 1920 x 1080 as a maximum so be aware.
For what I need thpugh its perfectly useable and worth the price for me.

The monitor has 2 full size hdmi ports for connectivity and usb-c for charging.
Connected to pc via hdmi and powered from same pc with usb3 – to usb-c cable without issues.
Touch screen works ok , you can do simple work and you dont need a mouse.
Not sure about longevity and durability of the screen, I’m not using it on a daily basis (used it few times only)
overall I’m pleased with the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is about as close to perfect for Steam Deck as it gets. Just add a keyboard and mouse and you are done!

You can power this screen from Steam Deck, and just attach a keyboard mouse combo (I got Lenovo Thinkpad keyboard, so only need one USB connection for both). That’s it. It draws about 2.5W to 5W most of the time. If you power the monitor with the included 5V 3A charger, it will even trickle charge your Steam Deck. Needless to say, the power it draws is so lot, you can easily power it with most poer banks.

The full size HDMI connector is great, I don’t understand why there isn’t more company doing this. Your portable monitor don’t need to be paper thin, you need some thickness to provide structal strength. Might as well put a full size HDMI connector on it.

    Con:
I don’t use touch on this monitor, as my greasy fingers will leave ugly streaks, and the panel have some light leaks around the edges. But it does not bother me, and not noticable to me during normal use (unless in very dark scene).

All in all, a great buy if you have steam deck, and want to use it to replace laptop. We guys needs to show where our priorities lie, gaming first. Work if I can be bothered to spend 2 minutes to set it up.

This is my third portable monitor. Bought one early on and it broke within a year. Then got a higher end 2k 17 inch but it’s a bit big and uses that stupid mini hdmi. This one has full size hdmi and a built in stand. It looks fantastic with my MacBook Pro 14 and it’s light as hell. Wish it had a case or protective cover as I’m afraid it might get damaged in the case. But so far it’s fantastic. Touch screen doesn’t work that well with mac and iPad as a side note. It does accept touch, but missed some functionality. Like on iPad I can’t select play or pause on a video but I can scroll up and down on a website. Still awesome though. Haven’t tried with windows. Have a feeling it’s probably better on windows and android.

The screen is actualy pretty good, suprised that its a touch screen as when you open it theres no mention of it in the packaging. Plug it in via USB C to a mac and both touch and display works well. I like that its fairly bright and the colors are not awful.
Overall very impressed and bought 2.
1 arrived with a factory defect but thanks to amazon returns its not much of an issue.
