They are interesting shapes. They catch the little fungus gnat’s that can hatch out of compost and be so annoying. Cheap enough to change often so you aren’t looking at dead flies.

5.0 out of 5 stars They do what they say

They do exactly what they need too. Some compost I bought obviously had the gnats in and they multiplied like crazy! I feel slightly guilty but they work. They’re incredibly sticky so try not to get them stuck to a leaf else it will tear.

Great at catching most of the adult fungus gnats but doesn’t solve the problem and we were still getting bitten and having them on our plants. We ended up using 2 lots of dragonfli nematodes as soil treatments and the gnats were totally gone 2 weeks later!

Had an influx of fruit flies on plants on conservatory , these are handy in the closed door months, used in conjunction with mosquito bites , Removed once doors are open a lot as don’t want any poor bees flying in on them

I was a little unsure about this type of fly trap as had never used them before. I was surprised by how effective that they are! They seem to work really well at catching small flies that float around by any of your plants. They seem to work better when near a window sill – not sure if this is due to warmth, or due to the brightness of the yellow when light shines through. Lots in the pack – will be buying more when they run out.

If you have a fly problem them get these. They are amazing and within 15m these little midge type flies were starting to get stuck. Not the best to look at, but it’s certainly saved the small roots on my seedlings

Had quite a bad problem with fungus Gnats not realising what the issue was, these did catch a great many. I have however have found I needed something extra to kill the the eggs and larvae as the traps do not obviously catch them all.

I bought these for a fruit fly infestation and I wasn’t disappointed. They are extremely sticky, and attracted the flies unbelievably well. Within 10 mins, I had 5 flies, within an hour there were more than 50 stuck!
If I ever have another problem, I’ll be using these without a second thought.

Yuk – thought the flies were fruit flies. Now I know they are from my plant. Had the plant 16 years, first time I’ve had flies. I hope I don’t have to send it to plant heaven!.
The sticky backing is strong – so flies have no chance of escaping.

All our planters had tiny black flies living in the compost. Although these flies were not harmful to the plants, they were a real issue and very annoying. After reading other reviews we bought a pack of 60, giving us about a 3 month supply.
Within 8 days the number of flies had reduced to only seeing the odd one or two.
We placed one in each planter (10 in total) plus an extra hanging one close to a window which the flies appeared to hover around. See pictures. Best fly catcher we have ever purchased. It really works.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fly catcher that works.

I used these to help with a fungus gnat problem with an indoor plant. Not all of them are attracted to it, but I did capture quite a few.

Use these along with other solutions like hydrogen peroxide and cinnamon to quickly reduce the problem. Then leave one in place to capture any that survive other solutions.

They certainly catch the little buggers but they need to be used with the Fungus Gnat tablets too, I kept the vacuum cleaner with the straight hose pipe at the ready, it’s a good way to reduce their numbers by vacuuming them off the windows where they like to congregate. I would definitely use the tablets too, I’ve only applied one dose of the liquid and it’s too soon to say definitively that they did the trick but I have seen a reduction in the numbers flying around the house. The traps are working all the time so even when your out there is still something working in your favor.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA few weeks ago I repotted all my indoor plants with compost I kept in the garage since last summer I guess it was infested with gnat larvae Hundreds flying gnats suddenly appeared! These traps are so efficient -I didn’t think after just 3 days, all the bugs would be caught attracted by the yellow stickers! I treated all the plants & soil to make sure the larvae don’t survive and that the cycle is stopped
I’m going to reorder some more sticky traps and threw away the used ones -I’ll be able to see if there’s more bugs still around.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works!!!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI purchased the fruit fly sticky traps to address a fungus gnat issue with my houseplants, and I’m pleased with their performance. The traps worked well in capturing fruit flies and fungus gnats. Within a couple of days, I noticed a significant reduction in the number of flying insects, with several caught on the traps.

The traps remained sticky for almost a month without any noticeable odor or mess. However, they can leave a residue if they come into contact with plants or curtains, so placement requires care. I liked the designs on the traps, and they are quite affordable, offering good value for money considering their effectiveness.

Overall, the fruit fly sticky traps effectively addressed my fungus gnat issue and offer decent value for the price. Just be cautious with placement to avoid residue on surfaces.

These will not work magic, but they do a really good job for what they are. Used to control black, house plant gnats. All used had a lot of gnats stuck to them quickly. The sticky label cover can be a bit tricky to remove without ripping but it is easier for the bird one. Price is very good for what it is. Only thing is that it feels a bit inhumane, the gnats are not killed instantly obviously and it is not the nicest seeing them stuck but alive and just waiting to die. But this is what comes with a product like this so it is something g that has to be dealt with

Got these as I stupidly put the wrong compost in my houseplants, and got a bad case of fungas gnats. Used these amazing traps which worked a treat, then reported using potting compost! No more gnats, but I do keep a couple in just in case!

Definitely do their job but won’t rid you of fungus gnats on their own. I used these for several months to help control the problem and they caught hundreds of the little blighters but even in conjunction with pot toppers, bug spray and homemade remedy with neem oil, we still had a problem with fungus gnats. The answer in the end was nematode worms, but still needed the sticky pads so that I could keep an eye on how many were still around.

All clear now but keep new sticky pads in my plants just as an early warning system in case the problem reoccurs.

They worked well on my indoor plants that had become infested by fruit flies. As the stickies do their work, the new ones aren’t appearing much any more. Recommended as long as you don’t mind seeing flies dying.

Great value for money & SO effective. You can see from the pics how many flies are stuck on the yellow sticky bird label. Works better than I expected – there’s about 40 flies on there already! Other plants have labels too & maybe have about 2 flies each, so this plant pot is definitely the culprit!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! These really work!
