Swapped to these from cotton pads and they work really well, I use them when applying my facial toner. The pads are somewhat soft and do absorb the product once after I fold the pad in half. I pop them in the little pouch and wash them once a week, there is enough to have some out whilst washing the others which is great.

I saw this type of product on morning television and thought it was a great idea. I’ve been using the pads now for a couple of weeks and love them. They are a good size and I use them with both make up remover and also when applying toner. They wash really well leaving no marks despite being cream in colour. I hang them on the back of the bathroom door in the bag they come with (which can also be used to wash them in). Having 20 in the pack means you always have enough clean ones when some are in the wash. I have bought a set for my daughter as a surprise for Christmas as she’s always running out of cotton wool pads. I know she will love them. We will both save money on disposable pads and are doing a tiny bit for the environment.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLike many here I decided to stop buying normal cotton pads and use these reusable Bamboo ones instead.
Some other high street brands are starting to do the same, bad so far the ones that you can find on Amazon are affordable and you get more units inside.
What I will suggest (which was also mentioned by other people here):
1 – Pass the Pads by water, squish the excess out,it will make the material softer to either apply your Toner or Makeup Remover on your skin. I noticed if did with the dry pad it felt like I was exfoliating my face.
2 – Also if you wet the Pads first it will absorb less of your Toner and Micellar water.
3 – When washing them I don’t use the original bag, I actually just use the bag to keep the dirty ones until I do a laundry day, and then I will use a different zipper bag that I have, I don’t think the bag that it comes with is the best if you use it in the washing machine.
4 – When you use toners that’s fine but if you remove Makeup with them, foundations is not bad, the issue will be with Black Eyeliners + Mascaras, and super pigment eyeshadows and long lasting lip products, it tends to stain the material. So I recommend either you wash it straight away, so that the Makeup doesn’t have time to dry into the pad material or you if you prefer to gather a few of them and wash it in the machine instead you will most likely have to spray a stain remover first. I noticed the Black eyeliners and Mascaras are the worse to remove.
5 – Avoid using fabric softener on it. If you are prone to skin break out/Sensitive skin, remember this will be rubbed against your skin. Similar tip to people that use reusable face masks (Due to Covid) and are prone to break out, use detergent yes but avoid fabric softener.

I will definitely buy more in the future so I have some just for Toners and other just for removing Makeup because those will always be a bit stained.

Overall product seems ok, soft, durable but doesn’t really work for using Toner which was what I wanted it for. As others mentioned, when dry the Toner sits on top and runs off, then if you wet it before-hand I’m not actually sure if the Toner is working as the pad is already wet and absorbent. If you are using for cleansing, I would assume this would work well.

The pads are super easy to clean, however they also are a little rough, even after the first wash. They also don’t show all the crap that comes off your skin, which while not essential, is something I deeply miss (there is something strangely satisfying about it). They also do soak up the product little too much, which results in some waste. But that can be fixed by soaking them in hot water, then squeezing out the excess water before applying product.

Love these. The guilt of using 3 cotton pads a day was getting to me. I still follow the same skincare regime but use these instead. They’re not as soft as cotton ones but you do actually get use to it and they’re very effective at taking off makeup. I have 2 set aside as nail polish remover ones as this stuff doesn’t come off in the washing machine. Tie a decent knot in the cloth bag when putting them in the washing machine. I’m ordering my second round today so I can always have some in circulation whilst some are in the laundry. Have tried other brand and not as good.

I purchased these because I was fed up with the waste and cost of regular disposable cotton rounds. These are easy to use, easy to clean and overall better in every single way. I use about 4-5 of the cotton pads on average to remove my makeup.

    To clean:
Put on a 40 degree wash with no softner(this is important as softner can weaken the fabric which decreases absorbency, along with bleach and stain remover).

NOTE when you put them on a wash make sure to wash with similar colours(light) otherwise they could stain.

Also make sure to tie the wash bag up several times as it can come undone in the washibg machine.

    To dry: Dry naturally

When I wash mine they dont tend to stain(from the makeup) but if they do,you could wash them by hand with a gentle soap such as castille.

Bought these a while ago as I was frustrated with creating so much rubbish with using single use ones.
I love the size of these and they take my make up off without irritating my skin or eyes. The amount also helps to not run out too quickly, so I can just wash them with my regular laundry (except I wouldn’t use fabric softener when washing these — I mean FS is bad for the environment anyway), I would also recommend rinsing these off after use so mascara etc don’t dry in, so they come out cleaner on lower washing temperature.

Really chuffed, will purchase some as gift for relatives and friends

A great replacement for single use cotton wool pads! I wanted to move to a more environmentally friendly option but was worried they would be scratchy and difficult to clean. Luckily I was pleasantly surprised! They are not quite as soft as cotton wool pads, but still pretty good and I have no issues. They are really easy to clean and I’ve not had any problems with the laundry bag. I would definitely recommend.

My daughter and I have talked about getting some of these for a while, but all the time I had a packet of cotton wool ones in my drawer I didn’t see the point. Now they’ve been used up, and I’m in no hurry to restock in Primark – we thought now’s the time. They were on a lightning deal too – so got them a bit cheaper.

Love them! Really soft on the eyes and they do the job quicker it feels like too! Haven’t washed them yet – so can’t comment on that part. But hopefully they wash as well as they do the job, and are just as soft afterwards too!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThese are amazing!!! I love these, I use them for my panda eyes after a shower with a little bit of eye makeup remover on them. I will never run out of pads again. There is more than enough in 1 pack to keep me going until the next white wash load. They are very soft, I don’t rinse them out or anything I throw them in the bag in a normal wash, covered in eye shadow and waterproof mascara, also had red lipstick on one, came up completely clean and stain free. I do tie the bag handles in a knot to make sure they can’t creep out the top of the bag whole in the wash, (this did happen once).
What I love is with disposable pads you get tiny fibres on your lashes and in eyes. With these just soft and comfortable, also helping me reduce my waste. I also brought this brand again for my mum as she uses rose water to cleanse her face before bed. She loves them too!!!

I typically use at least 2 cotton pads a day – when I did the maths on the amount of waste a year, I bought a pack of these for my mum and for myself. I really like them – they absorb the product, they are soft and most importantly; when they come out of the wash, they all return to the original colour and I haven’t noticed any lingering dirt marks or staining.

The only things to note are that the bag they come in doesn’t stay closed when in the washing machine. I read reviews beforehand and bought a mesh smalls laundry bag with a zip separately that I put the dirty pads in for washing. They also take a while to dry and tend to need heat. In the tumble dryer they don’t completely dry, and same in the sun on the washing line. I normally have to put them in the (warm) airing cupboard overnight and then in the morning they will be completely dry.

Otherwise, I really recommend and will probably buy another pack so that I can go for longer between washes!

They are very convenient and i haven’t gone back to cotton wool since i got these.
I was them in the washing machine and i can’t make them go back to white no matter how high the temperature and the side have turned the color of my bathroom towels.
It’s really not a big deal though and doesn’t prevent them from doing their job of cleaning my face and removing make up. I even use them to clean wounds and every other every day stuff i would used cotton wool before.

** Update ** I have been washing them in the bag provided but it doesn’t seal shut well and some of them got stuck in the engine of the machine, i had to call in someone to remove them. So if you wash in the machine, don’t use the bag provided find another one that you are 100% sure will not let them out.

Excellent pads, I was concerned about how much waste I was creating with cotton pads each day, and I was so pleased I ordered these! They are soft but have a slight exfoliating quality to them, as my skin feels softer since using them. Have put my first lot in the washing machine in the bag provided and they have come out perfectly. So happy to have these! Also, I notice some people are saying they soak up too much micellar water- I put my pad under the tap first, wring it out so it’s not soaking and then add micellar water, and I’m getting good results without using too much product that way.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAmazing product. I’ve tried it with different things just to see how versatile and helpful it actually is.

I put my face wash on it, and used it to wash my face and it was soft and took everything off. I put some cleanser on it and used it for my eyes, and it took the eye makeup (eye liner and lots of mascara), off fairly easily.
I think the main benefit I found, was that it takes eye makeup off even without a cleanser. I just wet it, made sure it wasn’t dripping, and gently started to take the eye makeup off. It worked much better than with the makeup remover. This means that as well as not constantly having to purchase cotton pads, you won’t have to purchase eye makeup remover as well!

    It’s a must buy!!

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersLike other reviews, I found the laundry bag that comes with the pads useless : even well fasten, double-knoted and on a low spin, all but one escaped…
This being said, the pads are really soft and gentle on my fake-lashes (I had more problem with sustainable cotton ones) and you don’t need to use as much lotion as you will with “traditional” make-up remover.
The packaging it comes in, doesn’t contain plastic and isn’t excessive.
I will recommend to use a “smalls” laundry bag to wash them and use the bag they come with to store them 😉

4.0 out of 5 stars Out of 20 pads, only 1 remained in the laundry bag
