Does the job could do with coming on sooner when coming back up path but comes on as soon as you go out gate so you know paths ok to walk on coming back.
I have tried so many lights, but I have been very impressed with this product. Easy to install. The batteries last a long time. I changed mine on the outside of the house last winter, and I recently replaced them in November for this winter. A good, bright light which can go anywhere. Added bonus that you can use as a hand torch. Highly reccommend.
After trying a solar powered light, which was rubbish, i bought this. It works perfectly and give good light, handy too as you can unclip the lamp and use it as a hand torch too. Forget unreliable, cheap solar lights, stick with battery power..it works.
I bought this to light up our front door and porch, so not a big space. It seems pretty powerful and responsive to movement. I haven’t had to change the batteries yet which considering the footfall pass my house is great.
We needed urgently a motion sensor light for my daughter’s new house above the front door. It had to be battery operated and this one was cheap and had good reviews. It was easy to install and gives a good light when activated. Two months on and no complaints at all!
Did the job for us perfectly, didn’t want to spend alot on an outside light, come across this listing and thought I’d give it a go, and it turned up, popped some batteries in and it was really bright, attached it to a post to light up part of our garden and it provides plenty of light, and the motion sensor works great! You can even remove it from the stand and carry it which is handy, would buy again!
Using this product to deter foxes from coming into the garden, a stray cat has decided to take up residence, he looks quite old but is very small however is now putting on weght. The foxes started to attack him, but the lights seemed to have stopped them.
Really didn’t know if this was going to be any good and I was quite sceptical about how strong the double sided sticky patch was going to be especially used outdoors, however, really impressed all around with this and also great that the batteries needed adjust your normal bog standard double eight, so they’re not going to be expensive to replace so far so good
My first impression
s were it’s bigger than expected and it feels a bit cheap, also the sticky pad is quite a bit smaller than the mount. However, it’s easy to mount, easy to operate and adjust, and it works well, the light is good, and the sensor sensitivity is balanced, so beyond first impressions, a good product.
Put this up on the fence on my drive and it picks up when my car approaches the drive and lights up very brightly. Perfect! However it does pick me up when I walk towards it until I’m right under it. Hence score 4 not 5.
I bought this for the garden and it’s perfect been sturdy and weather proof and now I can see when my dog goes up the top of the garden
Does go off a little quicker than I’d hoped but for the price I’m happy enough
Although this is the third one we have bought. This one is not very well made. The back cover refuses to close properly with the rubber seal in place. Take the seal out and it closes properly.
The light itself works perfectly. Easy to fit and use. This one is out by our back gate so we can see to lock/unlock it at night time. Batteries last quite a long time too. Overall a good product but need to sort the seal problem out.
Going on the item I received my thoughts are:
Great size, very quirky in that can be removed and used as a torch, no more of listening to my slightly intoxicated kids trying to put the key in the lock. .
It’s positioned outside, u der a canopy and weather can be -10 or 38c. Batteries used Energizer lithium.
Before deciding on final resting place, we tested it in various locations, however the sensor isn’t very quick in regards in the motion. I’d didn’t pick up the cat running passed or the grandson.
It did pick up the lazy slow Fox and it picks up the humans 3sec at 3m away. So slight delay (even with battery test).
But it serves its purpose 1mth so far still lighting up. I like the design, like another but a fixed one you can just turn for positioning.
When I opened the box, I was not impressed. It’s very light and feels quite flimsy, but it’s not as flimsy as it first appeared. The part that is fixed to the wall has a ridiculous three- screw thing, where you are apparently expected to have three screws in the wall with the heads slightly proud of the wall, then fit the plate over the screws and twist the plate to lock into place. No chance, I just drilled two holes through the mount and screwed it into place. Job done! I fitted batteries and clicked the light unit into place and waited for darkness. I was very pleasantly surprised, the motion detection is fine for the job I needed, to light an enclosed porch on a dark side of the house. It could be brighter, but it’s just about adequate for me. How long the batteries last remains to be seen, but, for half the price of a Mr Beams model, it’s good enough!
Every now and again, you stumble on something on Amazon that surprises you.
This is it.
I needed a light solution that I didn’t want to spend hours drilling and cabling to put into use. Initially, I ordered one of these units for a specific area at the rear of our property. In the photographs I’ve uploaded with this review, you’ll notice there are two lights. Actually, there are now six! That’s how good the light is – I’ve bought another 5.
The option to affix the lights to a wall (or anything else) with a heavy-duty 3M sticky pad is very good indeed and the pad has excellent strength. My lights have been in place for over a month and have been through all manner of weather conditions, from heavy rain to storm-level winds and bright sunlight.
One of the photos shows the unit on the wall without the light in it. That is one of the cleverest things about this light, the ball unit with the light detaches completely. So, instead of just having a light that sheds brightness on a specific area, you can remove it, switch it to permanently on, and use it as a very handy torch!
The fit is perfect. The ball clasps into the holding unit and is a firm and tight fit, but not too much as to be resist when you want to remove it.
The sensors for movement are excellent and pick up anything quickly without being overly sensitive.
The shed of light is fantastic. I’m not sure what some people expect from a light with 3 LED’s in it, but this unit surprised me with just how far the light goes and how good it is.
What’s more, the ability to switch the light to movement based, permanent on or off, is welcome.
In respect of battery life, I’m astonished. I’ve had one in a position where it must be triggered on at least 20-25 times a night. That light has now been in situ for over a month and is still giving light with no apparent loss of clarity or brightness.
The light ball itself (when detached) is a perfect size for an adult to hold (shown out of the holding unit in one of the photographs).
I’m not sure what more can be said. It is a steal, a bargain, a joy to have found and a complete and utter no-brainer of a purchase.
You’ll have it in place within a minute and be amazed at just how good it is for the money you pay.
