This kit comes with a number of different things which are essentially to give you a sample of what options are available from Avery. I was worried when I first opened the kit that there weren’t going to be any blank sticker sheets as there was several sheets of sample ‘thank you’ stickers and a few printouts of sample business cards. There is however a good number of sheets for sticker printing and labeling and the sheets are good quality. You can print onto them very easily using the online sticker designer on the avery site. Good product.

The new business kit from Avery has a lot of information, ideas and things to get you going. The price isn’t too bad, there’s a lot included and you obviously just use the ideas as you feel is appropriate.

Definitely insightful at least although won’t be using everything.

This is a good quality kit that is full of useful information and ideas. The price is reasonable, quality of included materials is high and a decent set for the money.

I think it is not a starter guide, I would say it is more like a sample kit, which provides some bits of advice too.
It includes a small book with some pieces of advice and quite a good amount of samples for labelling, postage and branding. All seem of good quality, but I took one star off, because in my opinion it should be advertised as a sample kit of Avery’s own brand, not as a business guide.

    INTRO & DESCRIPTION

When most people think about printable labels and business cards, the first name which comes to mind is “Avery”. The Company was formed in 1935, so they must know a thing or two about labels — I know I have been using their products since my school days.

This particular product — The Business Starter Guide and Kit –contains supplies to last a month based on 30 sales per month.

    The kit includes:-

    15 x A6 “Thank you” cards.

4 x sheets of 40mm round “Thank you” stickers with 24 stickers on each sheet.

4 x sheets of 40mm round blank stickers.

8 x sheets of large rectangle blank labels (8 per sheet)

4 x sheets of medium rectangle blank labels (21 per sheet)

4 x sheets of long rectangle blank labels (16 per sheet)

6 x sheets of blank double sided business card (10 per sheet)

    2 x A4 label blank.

There is also a pack of material samples and a Business Branding Guide, as well as a 10% discount voucher for future orders.

    OPINION&CONCLUSION

This is a really good way to get a wide variety of labels and business cards to experiment with and come up with the best solution for your branding. It is pretty much a sample pack. The designs on the “Thank You” cards and stickers are more female orientated due to the abstract floral design in pink shades, which despite being female, isn’t really my cup of tea, and I would have preferred less of these.

However, all in all this is a great introduction to the branding side of a small business, and it gives would-be entrepreneurs a chance to experiment with their chosen design using Avery’s free Design and Print software.

This is a decent little kit to get you started with branding. it contains a variety of materials to give an idea of what is available and how labelling can be used to enhance products. There is, however, a hurdle to overcome, and that is the almost pushy advertising by Avery of their products and services. I did feel as if this was the sort of pack that would be given to delegates at a business startup conference in order to get attendees to lock into Avery’s products. That said, Avery is an industry leader, and their products tend to be good quality, so everything in the pack is well worth looking at and trying out. As a kit that can lead small business people to branch out and try different approaches to branding and labelling, it does its job well, at a price that isn’t eye-watering. Definitely worth a look.

Avery is a big brand in the office stationery business. This is a lovely starter set of labels. You get a variety of blank labels from rectangular ones to circular ones. There are lots of templates that can be used online to print on these labels. There are also pre designed and printed thank you labels and thank you cards which are sweet and can be used for your clients.

The labels are high quality, well made and the whole set is really well presented. If in the market for some labels or you just want to see a selection of what avery can offer, these are great products!

This set of Avery business starter stationery arrives in a kraft brown folder measuring just a little over A4 and about 2cm deep.

You need to be careful as the folder is unsealed top and bottom with just a folded flap of card at each end to secure the contents, so when I unpacked mine some of the smaller cards were sticking out of one end.

Inside, you get a small booklet which basically advertises the Avery business stationery range with a short description of what they are for and a short bit telling you that you can use their design & print software (free) which includes templates for all their products.

You also get a small brown envelope which contains samples of different finishes of Avery paper (each sized 10.5cm x 7.5cm) which I actually did appreciate as I got to see their metallic finishes and compare their eco papers to their regular ones without having to go and buy packs of all the different types to find out what they look like.

You also get an A4 contents list which includes a paper ruler and a discount code for your next order.

The business stationery in the pack is..

    15 x A6 printed Thank you cards.
These are like a postcard with the flowers in vase image printed on the front (no blank versions included in the pack for your own design) and on the reverse at the top the words “Thank you for shopping with us and supporting our small business!
Honestly, I’m not keen on the printed design, but I wouldn’t use them with an exclamation point on them anyway as I regard it as a very amateur choice.

4 x A4 sheets of 40mm diameter printed round thank you stickers (same design, same unprofessional looking ! on them so a waste for me). There are 24 stickers per sheet, so a total of 96 printed circular stickers.

The same 4 x A4 sheets of 40mm diameter blank stickers, so same 96 stickers as above but ready for your own design.

8 A4 sheets containing 8 blank rectangular labels each 99.1mm x 67.7mm so a total of 64 ready to print product labels of this size.

4 A4 sheets containing 21 blank rectangular labels each 63.5mm x 38.2mm, so a total of 84 ready to print product labels of this size.

4 A4 sheets containing 16 blank rectangular labels each 99.1mm x 33.9mm, so a total of 64 ready to print labels of this size.

6 A4 sheets containing 10 press out business cards (can be printed on both sides), so a total of 60 ready for your own design.

Finally, I had 2 A4 blank sticker sheets that had been scored down the middle which could be used to create a total of 4 rectangular stickers approx 297mm x 105mm.

Avery have a deserved reputation for providing great quality products, and these all take print beautifully as well as being easy to remove from the backing paper after printing.

I think this is a great way to try out a few designs and the contents sheet gives you the information for each type of item so if you want to order a specific pack after experimenting, then they make it easy for you to know what to order.

Could be a nice gift for someone looking to start their own business while still in the planning stages, or for a small business owner to experiment with trying out new designs on a small scale, such as for limited edition/seasonal branding.

We have been looking at certain websites which you can design and get them to make, print and sent to you. These seem to work out at nearly 25p a sticker so when this popped up on vine, I was super excited to be able to grab and test out. The manufacturer has provided everything you need to get to the creating, software needed for exact fit and so forward. All you require is a good printer! Very simple process with a really good guide if you get stuck. Very nice stickers produced at the end which will come in really handy!

Avery’s business starter pack is an interesting and well-informed way to learn how to launch your business. It comes with a variety of labels in different shapes and sizes, as well as business cards. I will definitely enjoy experimenting with the material samples and design options to create my brand’s unique look. It comes with a handy business branding starting guide which offers helpful tips to get you started. With the provided templates, you can easily print your own custom packaging labels and business cards. Overall, I found it very useful and a great learning experience, especially about choosing the right labels

I got Avery’s business starter pack and it’s handy. It helps to kick-start your business with everything organised for a month of sales. The material samples and shapes provided are fun to design and style your products. Overall, it’s a good kit for starting your own business.

The booklet accompanying this kit does feel a bit like an advert, if I have to be honest. Someone who’s already bought this kit would be aware of the benefits of branding for a small business, so the only purpose for the booklet is to advertise Avery’s various products and services. It could’ve used having a bit more guidance on what branding actually is and how to create a cohesive brand identity for a small business, beyond just “use our products and you’ll be just fine”.

If you look beyond that though, this is a decent starter kit. The design on the thank you labels and cards is a bit twee, and I do wish they’d just been blank ones instead as the design is not necessarily going to suit all small businesses; but the rest of the kit is a good variety of Avery products, helping you decide which to invest in without stumping up the cash for a full pack of each.

I wasn’t sure about this pack to start with but it has pretty much everything I need to test out different shapes and sizes of labels that might work best for my products without the heavy investment. This pack is a perfect starting point to promote my products as well as my business with enough sheets to print off at home and some pre printed product that I can use straight away.
