Quality of the pad is really nice, smooth controlled glide, hasn’t slowed down or gotten muddy after 2 months of use.
Only con is that it could be a little bigger.
Nice smooth control pad which lays flats and stays flat on the desk it, nice stitched edges and soft base. It is effect by humidity so will feel faster/ slower depending on the humidity. I had mine for well over year before replacing it.
4/5 it would of been 5/5 but it gets effect by humidity like most cloth pads.
Had this product for 4months, the quality is amazing and perfect for gaming due to the size of the mat as it gvies you plenty of round to maneuver the mouse. Highly recommend especially if playing FPS/RPG games.
My two issues with the product are:
– The controlling surface is rough and slightly uncomfortable on the skin, but still useable.
– The bottom of the pad has no grippy texture, just plain rubber. The pad will move slightly forward over the course of a day, I use Blutach to hold it down.
Every other mousepad uses a grippy texture on the base to better stick to the desk. I believe Zowie wanted to improve the consistency of the glide by having a smooth texture on the base, sacrificing surface grip for performance. They should have put a grippy texture just around the edges for the best of both worlds.
Both Me and my son are avid PC users and gamers. This Mat has been one of the best I’ve used over my long time of playing and I’ve bought many a mouse Mat along the way I cling Func German mats which were hard to beat.
I wanted something soft that wouldn’t warp like a hard mat but not high drag like some cloth mats tend to be. This is the best compromise between the two and gives an ultra glide surface but with a soft texture under your wrist that doesn’t budge when pushing the mouse hard under low sens.
Worth the money to me but I think belkin know it hence the price.
The Zowie GS-R is the best mouse mat I’ve used. It’s not super fast but feels decent. The resistance is minimal but noticeable for precision. I’ve only had it for a short period, so I can’t say what the wear is like. There is a little bit of bobbling of the fabric border at the bottom but it doesn’t impact the performance of the mat. We’ll worth getting!
i’ve been waiting on buying this for a while but finally decided to go for it with all the bad reviews around the glorious ICE and my own bad experience with the helios.
THIS IS THE BEST ALTERNATIVE TO AN ARTISAN PAD YOU CAN GET
for only 30 it has a very similar glide and isn’t coated so won’t wear down. The stitched edges don’t feel like stitched edges and are basically at the same level as the actual pad and don’t cause any trouble.
Like most things i wish it was a bit cheaper but generally is grea
The item was good however the package was very badly damaged. It looked like someone had tried to open the package to see what as inside. Box was also damaged inside which was bad because this is a present. I do not have time to return it so keeping but not happy with the conditio
Honestly the best mouse mat I’ve used. I’m sure alot of people buy this for CS:GO. It’s great and very comfortable, really enjoying it. It’s a bit too pricey though, feel like it’s been bumped in price as the pro players use it. Brought it for 30 would say it’s worth around 20 in my opinion. Nethertheless it’s great for gaming.
I’ve had several mats from different brands, and this is by far my favourite. The reinforced edges put the longevity of this mat past just about any other standard gaming matt out there. The surface itself is stellar, smooth and perfect for precision tracking. It’s large enough for somewhat low sensitivities, and very comfortable for middling sensitivities. I’m using 800dpi and 7 (previously 5, also on this mousemat) sense in Overwatch, and have played competitively with this mouse mat. If you want to go lower than 5, you might want a table-wide mousemat instead. I bought two so I can have one cleaning/drying while I use the other, or for while I’m away.
Truly a wonderful mousepad, exceeded my expectations by far. There’s very, very little friction. I would never want to go back to any cloth mousepads after using this. It’s a nice compromise between frictionless design and size, since most hardpads are fairly small. You might need to put something heavy over, as it takes a while to straighten out since it’s shipped rolled up.
Fits my desk very well when it comes to dimentions. Very high quality product with black unobtrusive design. The thickness of the mousepad is excellent, it prevents the cracking plastic noise when lifting the mouse and putting it down while gaming (especially if you game on low sensitivity) while at the same time not being too thick to cause issues on the long term like becoming unleveled. The logo is subtle and out of the way and the stitched edges are appreciated.
I have tried generic mousepads in the past and I would definitely say from my experience that buying a large high quality mousepad from a reputable brand is well worth the money.
This thing is massive as you can imagine from the dimensions. When you first use it, it is a little stiff to unravel so it ends up curling up, this disappears with time but it annoyed me enough at the start that I can’t quite give 5 stars.
It’s a good pad, but I would try before you buy.
I don’t like using this with my G403 — it’s hard to explain, but moving the mouse a small amount feels very hard to control when done from rest. This means I find it hard to make very small movements — the mouse sticks and then unsticks. This doesn’t happen with my QCK+ — the QCK feels a lot more even.
However, it may just be down to the mouse’s balance & feet, as I tried the G-SR with an EC2-A and I don’t have the same problem, it feels fine.
The surface feels quite rough but not uncomfortable. I understand it is made from cloth with a little plastic added. In use the pad is very quick – the fastest cloth pad I have. I also have the Zowie G-SR which is itself quite quick for a cloth pad but this is appreciably quicker. The first proper gaming pad I bought was a Razer Pro Solutions hard pad which was made of aluminium and very fast. This immediately reminded me of that. When I first started using it I was missing a lot of head shots as the pace of the pad meant I was overshooting. However after a week of use I’ve corrected my aim and can play very accurately now..
The only minor criticism I have is the curling. Out of the box the ends were curling quite badly. After a week its nearly gone. Putting books on it overnight may have helped flatten it out but the best tip I got from a forum. That was to roll it up the opposite way to how it came packaged, put it back in the box and leave it overnight.
In conclusion I like this pad a lot. It plays fine with my Logitech G Pro, Zowie FK2 and Ninox Venator. I’m thinking of buying another one for my other gaming rig.
Update – I’ve bought another one and had the curling problem again. I washed it in mild detergent then when it was nearly dry reversed rolled it and put it in its box. It’s currently flat as a pancake so I’m going to wash my first one!
Probably the best mousepad Ive ever bought. I can say Ive been thru all the major cloth mousepads in existense. Corsair hyperx steelseries razer and some other not as big as these names. But damn this one is by far the more “robust” ans well put together of them all. The precision and speed are right on point. Im a high level csgo player and this one is just simply perfect. Im using a EC1-A with the Zowie Bungee aswell and its just perfect.
To point out that is a bit on the pricey side… but its well well worth it. You will simply love this over any other cloth mousepad.
1. Zowie G-SR
2. Glorious XL Heavy
3. Steelseries QcK Heavy
The Zowie and Glorious are both substantially better than the QcK in terms of build quality and glide. There isn’t a huge difference between the G-SR and the Glorious, but I’d say the G-SR edges out because it gives the quickest glide while still providing excellent control. Still, given the price difference between the Glorious and the G-SR (14 vs 35 at time of writing) I’d recommend the Glorious for most people.
