My son asked for this, for Christmas. He spent part of Christmas Day assembling it. Make sure you follow the instructions, as he was almost finished and then realised he’d put 1 piece in wrong and had to start again. It looks lovely when built.
I was impressed by how easy this was to assemble on my own. Only two tools were needed and these were both supplied. The instructions are diagrams which are fairly easy to follow and the quality of all the parts is extremely good. A couple of spares are deliberately provided so don’t panic if you find some left over! The price was very competitive.
Bought this for my son for Christmas. He is very pleased with it saying it was good quality and not too difficult to put together. Just what he wanted in fact!
Reasonably sturdy thanks to slim but high density panels and steel frame in just the right places. No missing parts, all holes in the right places, no damaged parts, clear instructions, great value and looks classy.
Delivery from Bestier was quick. Very happy.
It works as advertised and it seems solid enough that it should last me as long as I need a desk for. My only criticism is that the machine which produces the fake wood effect in grey is tired as you can see lines in the finish. Zero quality control has occured as it’s blatant, not hard to spot at all. For the price I won’t complain, you get what you pay for.
I built it pretty much on my own, the only assistance I had was with connecting the two main pieces to create an L shape.
The desk is modular in that you can have the shelving on either side, I also screwed an extension lead to the bottom and used silicone cable managers to run cables underneath.
The desk is super sturdy, I have quite a bit of weight on it with no problem and it doesn’t rock/flex when I am typing. The shelves have a lot of books on them and they have shown no signs of weakness (The desk is circa. 2 months old) and the metal work is useful for managing cables
This has transformed our office room as it utilitises the space much more effectively and the face that the plugs are on the top make easy access to unplug and plug in. Made it safer as children charge phones, ipads etc on the desk and not on the bed or carpet! Came with handy screw driver !
Arrived in good time, although the packaging was damaged, the parts were in good condition. This went together really easily and I was able to complete it on my own without rushing it in about 30 minutes. The instructions were clear and the different parts clearly labelled. The desk when built feels sturdy and my son is really happy with it.
I received the desk today, the main problem was only two of the holes on the desk matched up the the frame. I had to drill my own holes to fit it properly. Other than that the desk is great and will be perfect for me. Some of the instructions / diagrams were not very clear, so it wasn’t easy to put together. It took me 2 hours to assemble this desk.
It looks way more expensive than it actually is, it is very sturdy and well designed and it was surprisingly easy to assemble. There was only one step where I needed support but I could have done it anyway with a plank or a stool under the shelf. The holes are perfectly aligned, forget about Ikea’s approximation. Only thing, when you have to fix screws in metal and wood for the same shelf at the start, fix the wood first. I had to repeat two screws to avoid forcing screws in the wood.
The box is very compact and sturdy, but very heavy and difficult to move, so make sure you don’t have to haul it around without a trolley or a second pair of hands.
This said, a great piece of furniture. It will be my me-corner for a long, long time.
