I’ve tried numerous wooden toys and they often arrive with chipped paint or a synthetic feeling which makes you feel as though the product won’t last too long. Not the case with this product. I can see these lasting a good while and our little one is already appreciating it.
The potential for smaller bits getting lost is there but this is something for us to monitor and no fault on the product, with each piece looking and feeling sturdy in the hand.
Overall, a well-made and fun toy for little ones.

Picking up the animals, deciding which hole to put them in, manoeuvring the pieces to fit in the correct hole, are all excellent brain development activities both for cognitive development and for motor skills. This toy provides those opportunities in a really adorable way. I really like the diversity of animals, vegetables and fungi they have provided. Based on my experience of similar toys with my own children I can imagine this providing the opportunity for some wonderful parent child interaction.
All of the animals and vegetables are well crafted from hard wood, as is the box. The colourful painted finish is very eye catching. In general this is a quality toy at a reasonable price however it would have been nice to see a securing mechanism for the box lid. Also, although it’s not entirely necessary in order to enjoy the toy, since it is included, the play mat could have been made with better quality material.

Bestellt habe ich das Holzspiel-Set von Bloranda fr meine kleine 1,5-jhrige Tochter.
Das Set kam schnell und gut verpackt bei uns an. Es besteht aus einer kleinen Stoff-Unterlage, einem bunten Holzkstchen mit Aussparungen, um es als Steckspiel nutzen zu knnen, diversem Gemse und verschiedenen Tierfiguren. Die Farben fr das Spielset sind gut gewhlt. Das Design des Sets ist wirklich niedlich und ansprechend. Die Verarbeitung der Einzelteile ist soweit solide. Es gibt weder scharfe Kanten noch Abplatzungen oder hnliches. Laut Herstellerangaben handelt es sich bei der verwendeten Farbe um ein Produkt, das ungiftig, umweltfreundlich und wasserbasiert ist. Schaut alles also erstmal ganz schn aus und klingt gut.
Trotzdem gibt es aber einen Stern Abzug, da mir hier und da Stellen auf den Tierfiguren aufgefallen sind, bei denen die Farbe “ber den Rand” aufgetragen wurde, deswegen etwas absteht und dann einfach “abgeknibbelt” werden kann. Ich knnte mir vorstellen, dass davon auch leicht etwas im Mund des spielenden Kleinkindes landen kann, wenn man nicht vorher alles gut geprft hat. Da htte ich mir doch etwas mehr Kontrolle seitens des Herstellers gewnscht. Zudem empfinde ich die Holztierchen als etwas zu klein, um sie fr das Steckspiel zu nutzen. Klar, es schult die Feinmotorik, aber wenn ich als Erwachsene schon Schwierigkeiten habe, die Tiere in das dafr vorgesehene Loch zu stecken, ist das fr Kleinkinder fast unmglich. Hier wre es vielleicht sinnvoller gewesen, wenn es weniger Tiere wren, dafr aber Grere, damit es die Kinder einfacher haben diese zuzuordnen.
Insgesamt ist es aber ein schnes Spielset, das meiner Tochter wirklich sehr gut gefllt.
Wir freuen uns darber und wrden es auch wieder bestellen. Trotzdem wre es natrlich schn, wenn bei der Verarbeitung etwas mehr auf die Details geachtet werden wrde.

My sister seems to like these wooden style toys and loves the fact that these Montessori boards are both fun for the child to play with (with all different sections of fun) and at the same time has the educational aspect too! The kit comes complete with everything you see in the photos and is so fun! You get the animals which can be pushed through their designated slot, veg patch with vegetables which do the same and then side accessories too. Really enjoyable product which can be cleaned and wiped down too 🙂
I really like this toy. You get a farm mat( needs an iron to make it lay flat) a wooden base box with a lid, and a good selection of wooden farm toys, like veggies, animals and buildings. The whole thing offers lots of choice, you have a veggie pulling game which is a small world activity, there’s a pattern matching activity for cognitive development, shape matching for hand eye coordination and fine motor development, and a farm map game for logic development. So this little well designed box of farm toys provides lots of good developmental play for small children. Nicely made, well finished. I recommend it.
This is such a wonderful wooden sorting toy. Lovely design, fun and well made. Beautiful wooden animals which can be played with on the mat as well as figuring out their shapes. I really love the vegetables, two fun mushrooms, the carrot is great, everything is so tactile and has that great solid feeling of wood. Delivered in a nice box so would make a perfect gift, a nice keepsake toy, will last forever. Overall, a really great product.
Well made and high quality wooden toy, my daughter absolutely loves it and has plenty of fun playing with it. The wood is smooth throughout and I find it safe to be used by babies. Lots of bright colours and different activities for little ones, definitely helps with fine motor skills as well as hand eye coordination.
This lovely product is a well made shape sorter style toy. You can either push the shapes through or find a slot for them where they nicely hold in place into the slots provided. It comes with a variety of different food related shapes and also farm animal ones which come neatly stored inside the main rectangular shaped box. This same box incidentally also holds the farm map in it for the animals within (to give it a slight dual purpose albeit an unnecessary added bonus); this is used to put the animal figurines into their right spot on the farm so a nice dual educational purpose as they grow a bit older (the kids anyhow)! All the pieces that it comes with are very solid wooden ones and overall it feels like a very solid toy on that basis. The box overall comes very elegant colour scheme to complement the nice design so I’d recommend to purchase as a lovely gift for any little boy or girl (probably although safe from 1 years – more like 18 months from a practical perspective)!
Currently 20.99 with 30% off it’s good value for money. It comes in a box so easily giftable. It’s well made and safe for children to play with. It’s great for fine motor skills and shape sorting. It’s also good for learning farm animals and vegetables. It came with a thin play mat to pop your wooden box on. This mat is very thin and creased after it’s been folded and stored. I’m sure the creases will fall out. All the bits can be stored safely inside so nothing gets lost. It would make a great gift. I’m pleased
This is a very traditional wooden toy, its very nicely made. The animals are nice and chunky so little hands can hold them easily while sliding them into the box. Not that’s its important but I should point out they are not magnetic as it seems to suggest. Its the same with the vegetables, all vey well made and good looking – plant them in the various sized holes on top. Everything is very nicely painted.
Sadly the mat is not the same quality as the box and shapes if would be better if it was made from decent plastic or material, instead its like a plastic backed j-cloth which doesn’t feel nice. My other criticism is the lid – its loose with no way of securing it so when a child tips it its going to fall (watch out feet!) would be better if it slid in and out.
It’s a very vibrant toy, the images are eye catching and my son did enjoy playing with this. A shape sorter for animals around the sides and then holes on top to ‘plant’ vegetables like a garden. I did find there were some vegetables that didn’t fit into any of the holes so they were a bit redundant. Also found it wasn’t very sturdy.
