This CAMECHO Android 10 Double Din Car Stereo brings a noticeable upgrade to my C-Max, offering a host of features that add functionality and convenience. The touchscreen is responsive and has a clear display, presenting Android in a format that’s familiar and user-friendly. The installation process was straightforward, though the abundance of wires might initially seem overwhelming, it was a manageable task. The rear reversing camera, although a bit tedious to wire in, proves to be quite useful, aiding with parking manoeuvres effectively.

Connectivity features like Bluetooth and FM/RDS radio work adequately, allowing for hands-free calling and access to various media sources. The screen’s brightness and responsiveness are commendable, offering a satisfying visual experience. However, I did notice some performance lag, which could be attributed to the unit’s underpowered CPU and 1GB of RAM. Despite this, considering the price and the array of connections available for Ford vehicles, it’s a decent purchase for those seeking an affordable update for their car’s entertainment system.

Brought this to replace factory fitted stero in my ford galaxy, fitting was straight forward the set up of the canbus was tricky as instructions are poor but with a bit of messing around the steering wheel controls work, and with an adapter for the fm radio(not included) we now have a working android head unit, one note is that the parking sensors stopped working not a massive deal if you fit the camera.(seller is currently helping get this sorted)

This replacement head unit is surprisingly easy to install and give a significant upgrade to the stock car stereo. The touchscreen works well and looks good. It’s basically standard Android, so you can install various apps to your preferences. The system can sometimes feel a little slow, as I believe it’s quite underpowered compared to the latest generations of smartphones out there, but it’s still a massive upgrade from the stock offering in the car.

Overall I’m really happy with this device

I got a company to fit this stereo and reversing camera for me… looked good!!! But when I tried to set it up I found a couple of buttons unresponsive, some issues with the touch screen too and it was a bit slow . on a positive note the reversing camera is good quality lol
As I’ve paid for instalment I’d have to fork out more money to get it taken out to send it back

Seller contacted me to discuss issues and came to a positive resolution ..Full refund
    Positive attitude from seller.

This is a really attractive direct-fit unit. Fits really well with the aesthetic of the S-Max dash. Looks like it could be OEM. Fitting isn’t too bad. There are a LOT of cables that come off the back of this due to the features but fortunately the unit itself is not very deep which leaves plenty of room to get everything connected.
Connectivity is this unit’s strong point, offering a direct quadlock connection to the main loom, along with breakout connections for almost everything you can think of. 2 USB ports hang off the back which you can route into the glovebox too. These allow you to add things like memory sticks or even a USB DAB+ adapter to add DAB to the unit.
The buttons are satisfying to press, and the knobs and illumination are pleasant. Being android you can have access to loads of apps including google maps.
The display is attractive and bright. You also get a reversing camera to use too if you can be bothered to wire it in. Getting access to the tailgate on the S-Max is a mission in itself.
Sadly, this is a really underpowered unit with only 1GB of RAM and a reasonably slow CPU. Realistically speaking it needs 4GB RAM minimum. As a result, it can be a bit sluggish to operate. However, for the price, it’s unlikely you’d find anything better. It really is an excellent price for a well built unit with all the connections you need for a Ford vehicle.

Gave this a quick run out of car to test and looks amazing! Not wired up yet into a car but on the bench all works great. Can’t wait to fit it! The screen is bright enough and pretty responsive with no obvious lag or latency.
Build quality is not the best but certainly excellent for the value this offers.

So I got this item, installed it correctly and wasn’t getting any power to the unit. I spent 3hours going over and over the wiring to make sure it was correct, replaced fuses and all sorts and still had nothing.
I left it overnight and went back to it in the morn and it loaded up straight away, bizarre to be honest.
So it works now, didn’t in the first place but it does now and that’s all that matters. I’m just worried I might face further issues down the line but we will see.

CarPlay works well enough for a sub 100 stereo, and it’s got plenty enough features on it for the price also. So overall it’s a good product, just had some teething issues I guess.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works but took some time for it to work.

I decided to go for this unit to spruce up my Ford C-Max, mainly because I was pretty fed up with the outdated factory-installed system. Initially, unboxing it felt a bit overwhelming with all those cables and wires, but the installation turned out to be surprisingly manageable. The most challenging part was getting rid of the old unit, but I eventually got it out of there.
I do find myself wishing I had gone for a model with a larger screen, but the 7″ display does the job for now and has made a world of difference. It essentially acts as a slick interface for my smartphone, bundling all the essential functions, including maps, into a user-friendly package.

I fitted this to my Galaxy and found it relatively easy to fit – but very easy to use. The screen is a good size. Everything is clearly laid out. It’s very intuitive. Perfect for a slightly old car that’s lacking the latest tech and functionality. I’ve just changed from the Galaxy to a Focus MK2 and have just moved it across to the Focus, which was easy enough to do. I rate this highly and have found it to be a good quality unit with decent sound.

    In a nutshell:

    Things I liked:

+ Everything works as expected. Fitting is a relatively painless task, particularly if you’ve done something like this before.
+ Installing the rear reversing camera is technically optional, although it is an excellent idea. Bear in mind to access the reversing camera you’ll have to wire it into your reversing light (easier than it sounds – there are plenty of YouTube videos on this).

    Things I didn’t like:

    – I can’t comment on durability, but it is probably worth looking up other systems by this brand for an idea of their durability record as this one has only recently been released.

    Do I recommend it?

Yes, as long as you’re confident in the brand and your ability to fit it (or your ability to get someone else to fit it for you).

These android head units are a good way to breath some life into an older car. They are easy enough to fit and setup. Just know that it uses an older version of Android and won’t get updates. This is likely fine for most users. It runs Spotify etc. which is all I really need. I find the FM signal to be quite weak compared to the standard head unit but it works. I don’t have a good DAB arial so couldn’t test that. The reversing camera uses a wire so running that from the rear of your car to the head unit is a major pain. I would guess most people won’t bother. You can buy wireless camera kits and I would recommend that if your really want a camera. You just need to splice into your reversing light to power it. Much easier than running the cable.

All in this is a good head unit. It is a cost effective way to update the ICE in your old Ford.

Easy to install and works very well.

It starts up instantly with the car, connects to Bluetooth on my phone in seconds and the steering wheel controls work perfectly.

Had a small issue getting the button lights to work and contacted the seller and they were extremely helpful and helped me to get the lights working.

Would highly recommend, its a low cost product for what it is, but it isn’t low quality for or slow like some aftermarket stereos I have come across.

    Well worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great bit of kit.

I got this unit for my Ford C-Max as I was fed up with the rather antiquated system that is factory-fitted.

At first, it all seemed rather confusing as there were a lot of cables and wires in the box but, actually it was an easy fit. The hardest part was removing the old unit but I got there eventually.

I do wish I had gone for a larger screen model but the 7″ display is fine for now and certainly makes a huge difference. It is essentially an interface for your smartphone and gives you all the functionality, including maps etc. in an easy-to-use package.

I have only temporarily fitted the rear camera as I need to do some more work to fit it permanently but it works well. Certainly helps with parking!

I would not be without it now.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFirst impression: Connected as per the instructions leaflet (very poor instructions btw)blows fuse every time I connect to vehicle harnessfed up of changing fuse this is to fit on my Ford Galaxy 2013 model.
    A bit frustrated now

Second impression: got it working – sort ofnot perfect as it doesn’t connect to my phone like a hands free, instead as a car stereo so cluster does not show phone menu !!! Not sure about the CANBUSstill, it’s working-ish and the kids think I installed a tablet in my car !!! So keeping it for the moment.

After 10 days of use: works ok, set up instructions need to be much better though. Very good customer servicethey reached out to resolve the issue5 stars for their sincerity.
