I brought this after having issues with a different brand not covering my grey hairs very well but this seems to be very good and it’s not that strong nasty hair dye scent more of a fruity smell so it’s very pleasa
I have been using this product for quite a few years. Bit fiddly and messy to use, but works well and the colour stays on for quite a while between uses. My husband thinks I look great after using it so maybe I should try it on his grey hair!
It doesn’t have a strong pee smell that would hurt my eye. It smells good. It didn’t hurt my eyes and my nose. it is really pigmented and covered my dyed red hair, now my hair is my natural raven.
Very pleased with my purchase.
The colour was great and it lasted longer than my usual brand. Not messy to use and great fragrance on your hair afterwards. Will be purchasing again definitely.
Good and reliable product for 5 price point. You can buy more expensive or try peroxide but either of these options is foolish when this stuff has been around years and is safe and reliable
I use this shade every down and then as my hair goes quite yellow , at first it’s very drab and flat, almost muddy blonde colour, but after a few washes looks good
Nowdays its hard to find a hair colour that cover the greys they all promice coverage but the reality is different.Same thing happened with this hair colour .After having hopes that this box will make a difference to my grey roots the result was disappointing. I tend to leave the colour a bit longer than it stated on paper but even that didn’t worked.
I like this brand and they do smell nice ,and absorbing well however the minus side is 1- little product on bottle
2-no grey coverage
Please improove
I tried 9A hair colour .
I’ve always used Clairol Nice’n Easy, well, I’ve tried other brands on occasion but have always gone running back to this one, with very good reason. The product itself is so easy to mix and use. There’s no nasty smell, unlike some where you’re almost choking on the awful smells. I’m in my 60’s and have my fair share of grey but this Clairol product colours them beautifully, and when you’ve finished you’ll wonder why you didn’t try it years ago! I found this 9A colour ages ago and it suits me perfectly, it’s a kind of ‘dirty blonde’ on me, I really like it. I always feel better when I’ve ‘done my hair’.
For many years I have used a certain brand and shade. Although that really stunk the product was a very close colour to my light brown dark blond hair. Originally this new item was purchased by my sister as she has very dark hair and likes the coverage it gives her hair. So she brought me one which she thought would go with my hair colouring. I dont have a vast amount of grey mainly at temples and a little on the top even though I am 62 and my hair reaches almost to my waist! I used the shade and was so pleased withthe reults and soft tones it gave to my hair (without the pong) I will be using this in the future. People dont notice when I have ‘done’ my hair as the tones and colour blends lovely with my hair colour. The amount in the box gives me plenty to do the head area thouroughly and just lightly spread to the rest of hair. Great product great colour and will be using again.
I have settled on this as my favourite colour to use and I’m always pleased with the results. At first it looks a little dark and one block of a colour, but after it has been washed it looks very nice and natural, as though it has multiple shades in it.
I find the nice n easy dyes to be true to the box atleast for myself. I have been using the 8wr Golden Auburn for a few months which was lovely then decided to go back to blonde, after bleaching my hair to a pale yellow I used 9A Light ash blonde to tone the colour down which it has done brilliantly. Very happy with the results, will stick with Nice n Easy!
Just like any other home hair dying kit. Everything you need is in the box. I would like to be able to buy a smaller kit or be able to split the kit and use it twice as I have short hair.
I love nice and easy, I’m an ex hairdresser and even when I was hairdressing I used this colour, 9a Light Ash Blonde. When I gave up hairdressing and went to the hairdresser for a haircut, they always asked what I used in my hair and that the colour was lovely!!!! You can’t go wrong with that type of compliment, so I’ve just kept it up for the past years. It’s so easy to use, plus I love the smell. My hair is thinning a bit now especially that the grey is coming through and colouring it certainly makes it look a bit thicker and shiny… love, love, love i
Last lockdown I used Garnia at home & it went a disgusting ginger! I got to the hairdressers over the summer who did my highlights & corrected it as much as she could. I have light brown/dark blonde hair & last week had horrendous 2″ roots due to current lockdown. I used the Nice & Easy light ash blonde years ago, with good success, but it was sold out last lockdown. Last week I used it on my roots to lift them, along with a purple toner mask & I’m really pleased, a significant improvement & will buy me some more time until the hairdressers re-open. Many hairdressers would curse you for home bleaching, but don’t have much choice just now. I’ll definitely use again to get by. Not a great photo as hasn’t been washed for a few days since coloured!
I’ve never coloured my hair with a permanent box dye before because I usually go to get my roots done at the hairdressers every month but being in pandemic lock down and having over an inch of fairly dark root, which depressed me every time I looked in the mirror, I plucked up the courage to buy Clairol nice and easy SB2 blonde (after much research about which colour to go for). My hairdresser uses a level 9 on my hair and said she thought box dyes were usually a couple of shades lighter so I hoped this would lift my dark roots enought to blend in. My worst nightmare was being left with orange/ginger roots which would not be a good look. So, after roping in my reluctant hubbie to help do the back I set to and started. It was really easy to mix (just the tube of colour into the other bottle), give a good shake and away you go! Instructions said to start timing when application commences. I did the top and sides first then shouted my husband to do the back. He didn’t like the smell, which was probably due to being confined int the bathroom, so put a respirator mask on which tickled me no end! Actually the smell wasn’t bad at all so he probably had a sensitive nose lol. My hairdresser said to put on roots and then rub through to the ends for the last 10 minutes and the instructions said maximum 35 mins processing time. I kept checking to see if the roots had lifted and after about 15 minutes I could tell they were doing well so made the decision to leave the colour on for an extra 5 minutes to make sure my roots were done. A previous reviewer said she had fairly dark hair and had left it on for an hour so I thought it must be safe enough to do without my hair dropping out! So, after 40 minutes in total I stepped into the shower with my purple shampoo (just in case of orangeness), rinsed, washed with the purple shampoo then conditioned with Clairol’s conditioner. Next I blow dried and straightened my hair as usual. All my roots were covered, no orange tones and the ends were the same colour, which I would say is a little bit lighter than what I normally have but I actually love it! It’s a lovely creamy blonde and is absolutely fab!
So guys, anyone with light to mid brown roots, who is as nervous as I was to use a box dye in case of it turning out brassy or ginger, give it a go, you won’t regret it. I actually wish I’d done it much earlier and will not hesitate to buy it again until my hairdresser is open for business again.
I haven’t dyed my hair myself in years… always go to a hairdressing salon but during the lockdown like many of us, I looked for a solution online. This product did not disappoint me! Very easy to use and if you follow the instructions well it might just do the job. I am naturally darker blond and my hair came out looking much lighter, covered my grey as well. My partner could not believe how lovely it looked.
It has been couple of weeks now and it still looks good, however I also use a blue toning shampoo at least once a week.
Good luck!!
Have usd this colour twice and even ach time it takes differently. The first time it was a nice light blond colour, the next it seems duller. The problem I have with this and other brands/colours is that where it states covers 100% grey, is that it never actually does regards the hairline/temple area and if it does cover, after a wash, the colour in the temple area seems to have gone. I like to use clairol as it allows you to wash your hair after applying the colour. Some hair dyes don’t allow this and it feels awful. I have always loved the clairol conditioner. Frustrating though that clairol has stopped selling the conditioner individually as I liked to keep a supply of it. The conditioner supplied though is enough for up to 3 uses..depending on hair length.
