I’ve got a small kitchen and hate having the surfaces cluttered – yet need my knives to hand. It’s great! Looks so good and more importantly does the job. Stuck really well, and is solid and feels expensive. It’s opened up so much space and now I want one for my utensils. Ten out of ten recommended.
Appears to be of a sturdy design, fit for purpose and of a quality good enough to display.
The magnet is strong enough to hold knives (including heavier chefs knives)and even small cleaver (even with handle “down”.
One minor criticism. Applying the 3m double sided tape was not easy. I (personally) found it difficult to take the backing off the tape (Old eyes). It may be a benefit having a tab to assist peeling. Hence 4* rather than 5*
So Easy to mount in minutes. Look great and excellent storage space saver. Magnetic hold is very strong. Item excellent quality and very sturdy. My new knives look so stylish mounted on this. Have had it up for around a week now and it’s strongly attached with no signs of moving. Highly recommend.
The product is of very good quality. Stainless steel and very strong magnets and should last for years. However, the strip of tape that comes with it to mount without screws is not up to the job. I followed the instructions implicitly, cleaning the area where the rack was to be mounted ensuring it was grease free and completely dry. Initially the tape seemes very very strong and once in place and waiting 24hrs as recommended, there was no way I was going to be able to pull it off or even be able to adjust it if it was not level…Great! Two days later I came down in the morning to find it and the knives lying on the kitchen worktop. At first I thought maybe I had overloaded it, so tried again this time leaving half the knives off. Again seemed very strong, but two days later it had fallen off.
As I do not want to drill into my kitchen tiles, I went out and bought some Gorilla mounting tape at the cost of another 9 that holds up to 12kg and it seems to have done the job.
