Ideal heater for any room requiring a quick burst of heat . Only used it when I’m the room , I wouldn’t leave any type of heater except a central heating radiator on if no one was in the room.

I have two of these now, they are definitely the best heaters of all of my electric heaters I have I will slowly be upgrading all of them to these! Extremely efficient on electricity, and the heat output is fantastic

Relatively compact heat source to top up storage heater in the cold spell. It does make some crackling type sounds when warming up and cooling down but it’s much quieter than a fan heater. On the lower setting it doesn’t send the smart meter past the green zone. The main downside is that I lose my cat whilst it’s switched on as she basks in the heat at close quarters

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIve already got a couple of these. Very efficient, I’ve never had them on the 2kw setting and always on about a quarter of the 1kw. They keep everywhere really warm

I needed this heater to provide additional warmth in my North-facing home office because it’s one of the colder rooms in the house. It does the job very well providing radiant and convective heat very quickly.

Very pleased with this heater. It’s efficient, heats a room very quickly and is unbelievably easy to use. It is lightweight and very easy to use. Above all, it is very quiet. Highly recommended.

Heats a average room quickly and no noise or very dry air like from a fan heater. Currently no turning under floor on in kitchen living room as cost is 3 times more at moment .

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThrough out heat from both, however as the cable is very short it does not necessarily direct heat into desired direction. The manufacturer stresses that it must be plugged into wall socket and
that an extension lead must not be used. So, why such a short cable? Far too short!

Good heat output, 1kW, or 2kW. Useful thermostat, light, and with the castors, easy to move about. which helps the elderly or disabled. Heating elements encased in mica and anti-tip function makes it feel safe. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersHeats up in under a minute to full temp, ultra simple to use, I have been looking for a heater I could program to turn on and off within the off peak energy times (12:30-04:30) and found most heaters inbuilt timers only allow you to turn off after a certain time, I use this with a smart plug, simply leave the heater turned on and set the timer plug and works perfectly on the temperature stat just turns on and off when the temp is reached and within the time frame

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have bought 2 of these heaters for different households. The best feature is that the panels are housed behind mesh grids. This results in excellent heat output from the sides as well as the top. The heater is on wheels so manoeuvrability is excellent. Two heat settings add to the convenience. I have been using one of these heaters while my gas central heating has been broken and it has been an excellent alternative.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought to heat our chilly downstairs north-facing open plan kitchen-diner and it does a great job – heats the room quickly (especially with the door closed) and is very quiet. The only downside is that it’s so quiet, you may forget that you’ve switched it on so we’re now careful to position the heater so that the red power light is in a place where we’re likely to see it (on) when we leave the room.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersHeater is very good in smaller spaces on the 0.9KW (30p p/hr) setting and will keep you warm.
Unsure on effectiveness of thermostat, as I’ve had it on full temp to warm the room up as quickly as poss and just turn it on/off as required.
For larger spaces you’d need the 1.8KW setting (60p p/hr) to heat rooms up.
Worth noting, heat can be lost relatively quickly upon the heater switching off, so energy costs will add up if on for lengthy periods of time.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI am pleasantly surprised – I never thought I would say a heater is too hot for me – everything I owned before would not heat up my flat to a comfortable warmth, even the big clunky fan heater from the most expensive seller (which got promptly returned as it was too loud and windy, and despite putting it on highest setting I was still cold), but this nifty Duronic heater is so powerful I keep it on almost lowest setting and I still feel hot! Just what I needed. It is very light which makes it easy to move from my lounge to the bedroom. Heats up in matter of minutes. Could be benefitted with a small handle on one side to help with pulling it around, but as the frame does not get hot, it is easy to pick it up and move it arouund. Only had it for few weeks so can’t comment on durability, but it is 5 stars for the heat output!

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersHurried purchase as the boiler had broken in a cold spell, 2 degrees Celsius and raining. Unit arrived next day though advertised as taking several days on the advisory notes. Easy to place together and though some reports mentioned it smelt funny I had no issue, I did run it for 30 minutes in a spare room just in case. Perhaps I should have purchased the more powerful unit mine is the 2kw. But it warms a largish room 6 metre by 3 metre to a comfortable temperature over time over probably several hours. This is with the outside temperature being about 2- 4 degrees C. The boiler is now repaired but I keep on standby to heat locally instead of heating the whole house. It is easy to move around with the wheels and a small size to store away. The only mixed point is that heat is produced on both sides so you need to place in the middle of a room which can be good or bad depending upon your wishes.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our Users4.5 stars. This is a very useful heater. It heats fast, the controls are simple, it’s very manoeuvrable.
It deserves 5 stars but the reason it hasn’t is because there is no handle fitted to safely move the unit when it is hot.
This is a very simple thing to fix – so why not do it?

There is one other point with heaters and that is the advice is NOT to use an extension.
Well, sorry, but the regs may advise this but most people will use one. Because the regs only allow 1.50 metre of cable fitted to the fire.
This means you may have to put it near something that may end up being too close to a combustable item. So the regs are in effect
making it more likely to have a fire.
I’ve fitted dozens of extensions to power leads to extend them. When the cables are extended – not bunched up – they have have never even become warm – never mind catch fire. Even if the max output is used, fitting a 13amp cable with ensure enough cooling to prevent it getting hot.
As always though, if you are unsure – check with an electrician.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI do like Duronic products. In my experience they are well put together and quietly do what they have been designed to do. This is no exception. I’ve had the 1.5kw model which is alas no longer made. I bought that in Feb 2015 and works perfectly. I have bought this one recently for another room.
When new they both smelt slighty of burning plastic after being switched on. This is covered in the instructions. The smell soon goes and I was left with a very good fire indeed. The amount of heat it generates is amazing. The type of heat they both generate is unusual too. I’ve had a string of different wood burning stoves in the past and the heat these electric fires generate is most like those wood burners. A very dry-warm sort of heat and nothing like conventional fan, convection, ceramic, carbon, halogen and even more esoteric fires about today. Back to the amazing heat. It is winter March 2016, frosty outside and in this average 16×12 room only one “bar” of the two available is needed to maintain the room at 20C with the thermostat cutting in and out. The fire heats up to full power in a minute after being switched on. This is documented in the instructions as well. If switched off immediately after just heating up(60secs) it stays very hot for at least five minutes and it is very hard to tell whether it is really off. This speaks of very high design and material efficiency and is an impressive performance. One very hot fire. I’ve not had to use both “bars” yet. There are also a number of important safety considerations documented in the manual. It must have its own socket; be sited three feet away from curtains or wall etc. Sound safety and common sense really but do read the handbook first. Wheels had to be screwed on. Four screws later and it was away. Has a lead tidy too. All in all a very good heater. signed Raver Duronic HV220 Slimline Black Mica Panel 2.0KW Radiant Convector Heater with thermostat – Oil Free Heater – Heats up in 1 Minute + 2 Years Free Warrantee

Golden Review Award: 26 From Our UsersI purchased the 2kw option. As advertized, the heater reaches full power within a minute, heats up the room very quickly, and keeps the room warm.

I didn’t have high hopes, since I live in a drafty and very poorly insulated flat, and the oil heater I used barely heated up my room. However, I was simply dumbfounded at the speed this unit warmed up the room, and how easily it kept the room warm.

I was concerned about the cost of running the unit. However, I’ve been using the unit on the half-power setting (1kw) with the temperature dial about 1/4 of the way around from the start, and found it keeps my (large) bedroom quite warm. When I leave the house in the morning, I turn the unit down to just above the frost setting (turns on at 0C), and shut my bedroom door. And I’ve found that it keeps my bedroom warm all day until I turn the unit back up (to 1/4 power) at night. I leave the unit on whilst sleeping, and have had to get up several times to turn it down to 1/8 power because I was sweating under my comforter.

I’ve already ordered a second unit for my living room / kitchen. I’ve been very impressed!
