The machine is great ! Easy to use and does all the work for you ! The downside is cleaning up after use ! But also , how you cannot chose the temperature of your drink .

Nice looking machine and instructions on setup are perfect. Love all the bits that go with it. I found the milk container a bit fiddly to get in and out and you.must clean everytime it’s used as stated. Very happy with this machine for the price

Really enjoy my coffee especially the Latte from this machine and it works a lot better than the previous pod machine I had. Only downside I would say is the milk container, although it is removable it does not store milk very well if you want to keep it in the fridge for a few hours. Other than that great working machine and no problems at all. The cup warmer is an extra bonus and it’s a lot better to use it than use a cold cup for a hotter coffee for longer.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersIt is not often I feel compelled to write a review, especially lengthy ones but it has to be done.
This is a neat ,good looking machine for a small household producing excellent results and the milk frother is superb. Lovely extras of double walled cups ,which as coffee drinkers appreciate, continues to keep drink hot while chatting .
There are excellent comprehensive instructions and as with all new pieces of equipment they need to be read and observed. If you forget, there are sticker reminders on machine parts, which can be peeled off very easily leaving no mark . Also ,if in doubt Utube runs you through the processes.

I feel this review is mainly for customer service. I communicated directly with Espressworks. They were just excellent . Quick to respond with an issue we had and it was sorted very speedily. Polite when speaking to them , emails prompt and acknowledged. Top marks .

Would recommend machine and after service

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought this as a replacement for a tired delonghi
Makes a good latte, and can be adjusted to different cup sizes, easy to use and clean,
Only two niggles, the coffee baskets don’t always stay in the holder, the spring retainer isn’t strong enough, the milk jug is marked minimum and maximum, some other levels would have been useful, say 100ml, 200ml, etc
It only took me three attempts to get the right levels of milk and coffee for my cup sizes so now it’s just press the latte button and my cup is full.

This review, on the other hand, will tell you what you really need to know. Yes, as you have read in the more favourable reviews, this machine does indeed make great coffee and is easy to use, simple to clean, and excellent value. (A quick aside: the grinder included is OK, but grinds a bit gritty and uneven for a good espresso, so I quickly replaced it with a Krups – perfect. I notice that the Breville One-Touch, the closest rival to this EspressoWorks machine, costs a bit less on Amazon but does NOT offer all the extras – not 10 pieces, just one.)
It is also DURABLE AND RELIABLE. I’ve used it every day for twelve months and it’s as good as it was on day one – which is pretty good going. It needs a bit of care, obviously. I run its basic cleaning programme after use each day, and every few weeks I treat it to the deep clean cycle. I regularly clean the tubes and spouts with the handy brushes included in the bundle. Because I have hard water I make sure to fill it from the filter jug only, and so far I haven’t needed to use a descaler.
If this sounds like a lot of work, I can assure you this machine will repay you handsomely with many cups of rich espresso or foamy cappuccino, day after day after day – without fail.
In sum: the EspressoWorks works, and keeps working.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI like the colour black which is suitable for my kitchen.it doesn’t look too big on the work surface. The milk froth is awkward to clean and the coffee filter is also awkward to insert… remove. But getting better. The machine does leak a little underneath which I think I’ve solved by not pulling the filter too tight.the equipment I.e grinder and tools are brill. The glasses that came with are superb and really insulate.
Overall happy with my purchase. Value for money… I think so.

The separate coffee blender is a nice touch and powerful enough to grind the beans. The only thing I’ve noticed is that the wand to put the coffee in is quite difficult to detach after using it, but I’m guessing it’s because it’s still very new. Very lovely machine though and so much cheaper than most other options

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy son has wanted a coffee machine for a while & so got one for his 21st. He uses the machine everyday & it suits his & his girlfriends chocolate needs. The machine seems easy to clean & the separate blending machine works wonders. I seem to think that this is one of the better coffee machines especially for the price & I would recommend.

It looks lovely, and has good quality components. I bought it for a Xmas present for my husband so I can’t comment about the ease of use or the flavour.

It works well only thing is too laud and coffee not too hot just a bit warm unless you keep the machine on, i find out that when you make first coffee when turn on not really hot then as you make more it gets hotter so it takes time to warm out I guess, over all happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersI bought this machine as a step up from a Tassimo to see if I would enjoy the whole coffee making experience with a view to eventually upgrading to something like a Sage Oracle Touch.

I have had the machine about 5 weeks and and make 3 to 4 lattes a day. I have full strength coffee and my partner decaf.

The machine is straight forward to use and produces a nice cup of coffee. I am still learning but am starting to get quite proficient. My initial couple of cups were Luke warm and I thought, here we go what a waste of money but after reading a few reviews I identified that if you add cold water from the tap, cold milk from the fridge and a cold cup you get cold coffee! I put the milk in the microwave for about 25 secs and pre heat the cup with boiling water and get a nice hot cuppa.

I think some of the previous poor reviews were littered with schoolboy errors. You need to empty the drip tray every day as the system works with pressurised water and any excess is diverted to the drip tray. You need to wipe the recess where the portafilter locates as grinds accumulate on it during the brewing process (caution as it is hot) I run a cleaning process after use on the milk steamer system every day (fill the milk container with water and press the bottom right clean button) and once a week I run a full clean with an empty portafilter in place and a full main water tank (press the bottom right clean button for 5secs, don’t leave the machine as you need to empty the cup underneath the portafilter two or three times). Do not use a really fine grind as it blocks the portafilter and the machine has a turn! Likewise don’t try and speed up the process by removing the milk container whilst the coffee is passing through the portafilter as the machine also gets very upset.

There are a couple of negatives. The tool for filling the portafilter/tamping the coffee is a pain as I tend to get more coffee on the work surface than anywhere else so much so that I’ve bought two separate tools one purpose built steel ladle/spoon and a steel tamper. The blade grinder is ok but I could never get a particularly even grind, it was either lumpy on like dust so I did some research and bought a burr grinder off Ebay which works well. I still use the grinder for decaf though just don’t overfill it and I do a couple of 10 Second pulses and shake it in between.

In summary I am pleased with my purchase and very much enjoying the whole experimenting with different coffees. Just waiting for my HR Higgins introductory selection of coffees to arrive.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve had the machine for less than a week and whole family loves it. My biggest issue is that the milk-based coffees are barely above body temperature. Customer service’s response to me questioning this was literally, “use less milk.”

    In a latte.

Other than that it makes a great cup of coffee. Just expect to have to pop it in the microwave for 20-30 seconds as soon as it’s brewed.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSince it’s not specified anywhere i’ll just leave it here, the portafilters are pressurised so if you’re planning to buy it just know it’s not going to give you the best espresso, i did buy a different handle ( botomless non-pressurized ) which enabled this machine to make some great espresso but obv you won’t be able to go very fine like on commercial machines, so for the espresso lovers out there just know it’s still possible to get a great espresso out of it you’ll just need to buy an extra filter at least.

Love this machine, makes a great espresso with a really nice crema. I dont like coffee roasting hot, so the temperature suits me perfectly. I also dont put milk in my coffee but the lattes I have made for others look great with lots of foamy milk.

Great machine especially for the price, I doubt you will see anything on the market as good as this in that price bracket.

It’s not the most aesthetically pleasing espresso machine out there but its definitely not ugly, still happy to have it displayed on the kitchen worktop.

I’ve seen a couple of reviews saying its noisy but it’s really not. I used a nespresso machine before buying this and it was probably louder. Even the grinder is reasonably quite. I would happily make a coffee in the morning while people are still sleeping upstairs.

    Love this machine.
We bought a better known named machine and had to send it back, then we came across this one..
We are truly delighted with it.
    A nice big water tank.
    Milk tank holds 2/3 lattee.
The coffee grinder works as expected.
We like the fact that we can change how much froth we have on the milk.
The different coffee functions can be programmed for different cup sizes (we haven’t needed to as we use the ones that came with the machine).
The cups that come with the machine are lovely, you dont feel any heat through the glass and hold a deceptively big amount.
It has a cleaning function and the excess steam goes straight into the drip tray via a hidden tube…
All in all – very pleased with our purchase

Golden Review Award: 40 From Our UsersI’m a bit of a coffee nut (got two Bialetti Mokas,an Aeropress & a cafetiere) but haven’t owned a proper machine for years, so wasn’t sure if I’d like what I’d find, but I’m super impressed. For starters you get a tonne of accessories including a really good grinder and a nicely sized scoop/tamper. The four ‘glass cups’ are actually plastic, but that’s a good thing, meaning that they’re insulated and not too hot to pick up – and they’re a really pleasing design too. The machine itself is really well made and robust and was so simple to set up I had a test coffee on the go in minutes. The The buttons are clear and obvious but you can adjust the settings for the size of cupful you want (always large!) I’ve only started experimenting with the milk unit, which is also super easy to attach and operate, but the steam spout has plenty of power to make a proper cappuccino froth (not often my thing) and heats the milk for a latte/flat white, really quickly. Overall I’m delighted and reckon that this is really good value and you get a lot of machine and gizmos for your money!

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant machine
