These are great for encouraging fine motor skills, number recognition and problem solving. The keys are numbered and will only open the corresponding train (unless you use the master key) and each train can be clipped into then next train or can be used as a train by themselves. My only worry is that the keys are plastic so could break if the child is too rough when trying to but it in and turn it.
Overall I think they are a good toy that children will enjoy and hopefully they will learn a few things too.
Being 18 months old and into absolutely everything, this Lock and key Train toys keeps my Grandson engaged and busy. Works great as a train when all locked together!
