my wife left her old reliable GHDs in an airbnb and they were lost to the cleaner! With so much fakery and dodginess surrounding purchase of these things, I done my due diligence and checked these over when we got them. Im pleased to say they are perfect and my wife loves them, more than her old ones!!!
These were a xmas present to replace my decade old ghd straighteners that were coming to the end of their life. I was amazed at how light weight and slim they are compared to my older ones. They heat up very quickly and they do a brilliant job at straightening my hair. Hubby did well getting these!!
What can o say about these amazing straightners. After my previous ghds packed. In after 12 years I was hesitant due to the bad reviews. But these do exact the same job as before only they are a little lighter to hold but that does take away from the silky straight hair you will get that lasts for days.
Bought something me of these for the misses about 15 years ago and they needed replacing, was nearly tempted by other brands but went for these again (better the devil you know). Misses was over the moon so I’m in the good books for five minutes. She thought that they were broken at first as her old set had a flip switch to turn them on but these have a more modern light up press switch. As soon as I showed her they’d upgraded in the last ten years she was fine. I know nothing about hair straighteners but the misses assures me that I made the right choice as she loves them (she still won’t throw the old set away, so the old ones just sit in a drawer. So I’m guessing in fifty years we’ll have a box full of these bloody things).
Bought this for my daughter and she loves it. She is 15 years old and uses it once a week and says it is so easy to use & results are great!
If you have fine hair, be careful to glide the wand fairly fast as the temperature gets very hot do not hold in one place for very long. However that only applies to people with fine hair as myself a 68 year old woman.
Fast forward to pre-Christmas deals, I caved… They’re brilliant! It makes me want to straighten my (naturally curly) hair more, although I’m refraining from this! They’re easy to use, glide over my hair with no snagging and can straighten much quicker than the rubbish pair I had previously (granted, they were at least 15 years old….)
If in doubt, buy them anyway!
Had a pair of GHDs for nearly 20 years before they started to breakdown so bought a new pair to replace. The new set is really light and doesn’t feel as sturdy. Doubt I’ll get 10 years out of these ones never mind more but do the job at the minute.
This is my 2nd set of ghd straighteners, well worth the money and by far outweighs other brands! Had my first set over 10 years and they are still working perfectly. Just fancied another pair for travelling
I had my GHD straighteners for 15years and left them in a hotel room, Iwas gutted.so bought these to replace the lost ones. They are ok but the quality nit as great as my original older set.
