We bought these for our older children for Xmas and they are really happy with them, great to set a timer to wake up with or use when listening to music as the lights move to the music, they take about 25 minutes to put together and take up very little space.
Very sleek and the cable for the plug socket is a good length also.
Assembly of the light is straightforward and easy to do. Once plugged in, do this by your wireless hub, it linked to app on phone straight away and to Wifi 1st time.
Settings for colour and brightness are almost limitless, all in all a great light that has taken the place of the xmas tree.
I’m not an avid reviewer of products that I buy but I genuinely felt like these deserved it. As you can see by my second photo I bought these to replace two different ones. I am more than happy with how they look and perform. Although much smaller than the last ones they’re way better. I can absolutely recommend these to anyone looking for a floor lamp. No issues with the app or connectivity either!

I recently upgraded my TV back lights to the Govee T3 camera system and was so impressed with it that i wanted some other Govee lights to go with it. These were on offer so I ordered two of them to go with it. They work independently but when the TV lights are on they sync to those and the project the colours showing on the TV picture onto my rear walls, making the lighting completely immersive.
Easy to put together but read the instructions! Because I know better I didn’t and struggled to slide the LED strip up the length of the pole. No. Once together just pop the top and bottom of the LED strip into place then press in, working your way to the middle. Easy to set up in the app and connect to Alexa. All done in 30 minutes. very pleased with the results
I like the light, and it was very easy to set up with my WiFi, I bought it to replace another light, and mainly use it as a warm colour, but I do also like to have it synced to Spotify with the sound to light function, and all the other functions on the Govee app,buy one you will be glad you did and if like me you might be lucky and get a discount code.
I was looking at replacing a dated light on that was on the stairs for something slimmer and brighter.
After much searching I came across this one from Govee, as you can see from the pictures, it’s bright and has plenty of colour choices.
The Govee app has plenty of features you can use along with being able to set timers for your light to turn on or off or change the light colours in each segment. You can also use it with Alexa, though if you have multiple lights in the same room Alexa can get confused.
It is off good great quality and very sturdy which is good when people pass it on the stairs.
It’s deffo worth buying if you’re looking for a slim colour changeable light.
It’s OK bit of entertainment for the kids and lights up a bit of the room. Not sure I would want to pay full price for it. Got it on a black friday deal to add a bit of light to the room.
[Update] I did get a cheaper lamp and it looked quite good but it didn’t talk to Alexa very well. I can only tell it to switch on or off not change colour.
And then when I was looking at the lamp I realised the power cable was facing me with the lights and it should be facing the wall and the reason there is a round stand is so that it is a bit distant from the wall where it gets light casted. It looks much better now and took me from three stars to four.
It’s still a bit jerky moving lights up the pole but the fading works nice and looks well. When using the moving lights maybe instead of changing from one colour to the other maybe have a blend of the two in between so it would be much easier and smoother to flow like anti alias.
This has much better software and more features available than the cheaper version that I purchased
Unlike other the app is very reliable and it has WiFi Access. Ideal to control it if you are out.

From opening the box you can tell they have spent time and consideration even on the packaging. It’d very easy to assemble (make sure you follow the instructions when fitting the light strip or it won’t work!). They even supply a screwdriver which is magnetic so you don’t drop the screws!
I loved it so much I have enough another two since, highly recommended.
Building them was a breeze as the screwdriver was provided, well packaged and connecting the led lights was easy too.
Connecting the lights to the Internet and Bluetooth was pretty much instantaneous as i had a Govee account already set up. Alexa picked up on the products automatically which was awesome. You just need to add them to a group IE: “living room lights” within the Alexa app and away you go. I then connected the lights to the dreamview controller in the Govee app. In this case it’s my T2 TV kit and wow….just wow. Anime never looked so gorgeous (see video attached).
I can’t rate Govee products highly enough for their build quality. Buy…buy…buy is all I can say lol.
This is an update after having an issue which i contacted Govee via email using the inclosed service card. Theu quickly replied and swnt out a replacement directly which is perfect and a good indication of their great customer services. These are really nice effective lighting that when placed facing your wall give a really nice effective display-i have mine on music setting via the app so the wash through colours nicely using sound from the tv etc. The app has so many options that it’s easy to find a scene to suite most all you may wish. I can highly recommend Govee for their products and support which has been first class!
Very nice bit of kit. Well made and easy to put together. Only four stars because it doesn’t sync with movie/Dreamland settings with Govee TV ambient lights…. Annoying as that’s why I bought it but neglected to check compatibility beforehand.
Within a day of having it my (very naughty) rabbit had chewed through the power cable, I contacted the support to order and pay for a replacement and they very very kindly replaced this for free! Customer service were fast to respond to my emails and were very helpful, they went above and beyond to help me solve my issue quickly, I am very grateful for this.
Would definitely recommend this brand, we will purchase from them again in the future!
Easy to set up lamp, cool colour combinations and ranges of settings. Also easy to set-up on the phone so you can control the lamp.
A little on the pricier side but I hope the price is reflected in how long it lasts, so far I’m really impressed with it and hope to buy another at some point.
Set up was really easy, no need even to find a screwdriver as one is provided with the product. The directions were really easy to follow and the only slightly fiddly part was connecting the LED strip to the base as the connector is very small and the wires didn’t want to go into the base after connection.
It was also pretty straightforward to connect to Alexa once I found the right part of the Govee app to link accounts.
My only complaint at this time is in the product description – I wanted to know how high the lamp is and 20 something centimetres is obviously incorrect. The product dimensions describe the box it comes in, not the product itself. The light is approximately 142cm tall and the base is approximately 20cm in diameter.
I will update if I run into any issues down the line. So far, so good!
