HDMI Wireless Transmitter and Receiver, PWAYTEK Wireless
HDMI Wireless Transmitter and Receiver, PWAYTEK Wireless HDMI Extender Watch Movies, and Live TV in 1080p HD, from laptops, PCs to HDTV projectors Within 30m for Home Theater, Office, Conferencing
Setting these up couldn’t be easier. I connected the transmitter to a laptop in one room using its HDMI output and the included USB A to USB C cable. I connected the receiver to my TV in another room powering it from one on the TV’s USB sockets.
Despite the laptop and TV being in separate rooms, the transmitter and receiver connected immediately and my Windows screen was mirrored on the TV. I tried YouTube full screen on the laptop and it worked perfectly on the TV.
This is going to be so useful and I highly recommend it.
The transmitter and the receiver look pretty much the same: a black plastic box with a short lead (6cm long) with an HDMI plug on it on one end of the plastic box and USB-C socket at the other end. They also have a white LED light on the top to show when it is on. The Transmitter also has a Monitor/Pair button and a Reset button, whilst the Receiver just has a Reset button, and the Transmitter is labelled TX and the Receiver is labelled RX.
I tested this Transmitter Receiver out on my Notebook and a monitor positioned at the other side of my study. I first made sure that the arrangement worked by linking with a long HDMI cable. Then replaced the cable with the Transmitter (plugged into the Notebook) and the Receiver (plugging the monitor). Initially I got a message up on the monitor screen saying, “Input not supported”, this was then replaced by a duplicate view of the Notebook screen after a few seconds. It should be noted that each, Transmitter & Receiver, need power to their respective USB-C sockets for the system to work. When I unplugged the USB-C lead to the Receiver, the monitor went blank. When I plugged it back in again, I got the message on the monitor screen saying, “Input not supported”, this was then not replaced by a duplicate view of the Notebook screen until I pressed the Reset button on the Receiver. I found that the Transmitter and Receiver paired automatically, so I did not need to use the Monitor/ Pair button on the Transmitter. I did note that when I unplugged the power lead on the Transmitter, I got the message “Input not supported” on the monitor, but all reverted to working once I replaced the USB-C lead and waited a few seconds, not having to press any reset or other button.
The final test was range. I placed the Notebook and monitor as far apart as I could, and all worked well. This was less than 30m because the rooms in my house are not that big and it was raining outside, but it was around 10m.
Good value for money. They are easy to setup and use for my purposes which is for presentations. I cannot say if they would be suitable for fast screen response activities such as games.
The PWAYTEK HDMI transmitter receiver is an impressive device for relaying an HDMI signal from one room to another without wires. In this instance I specifically need my CCTV to be visible on a monitor in my office but wiring a cable to the office is almost impossible without some serious property damage.
The transmitter is so simple to use and very effective. Produces a great quality video feed to the monitor with minimal hassle, price point is fair and reasonable and overall a really good cost effective solution for our needs.
The setup couldn’t have been easier, there were no downloads required, sinply plug and play.
The provided Instructions were easier to follow but honestly speaking they weren’t required as everything was self explanatory.
Tried the connection with my between projector and PS5 as well as Nvidia Shield, both worked effortlessly although it can lag slightly with a few games on the playstation.
Overall this is a gamechanger, entertainment without all the long hmdi cables or having to move around devices, the product is exactly what it says it is and provides a hassle free experience.
I bought this for use at a hackathon event that I hosted at work. I had booked out a board room to host a gaming session after the event had completed. This wireless HDMI transmitter came in perfect as, when checking out the room, it became apparent that we would either need a very long HDMI cable or another solution, and we chose this!
The experience streaming with it was seamless and uniterrupted. Setting it up was a doddle as well and I needed to set it up quickly with 30 sets of eyes all watching me! Very impressed with it overall.
Setting up this wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver is a breeze. It’s a simple plug and play process with no complicated setup required. I just need to connect the transmitter and receiver to my HDMI devices, and I’m ready to enjoy wireless video streaming.
I am amazed by the seamless video streaming experience provided by this wireless HDMI transmitter and receiver. No more messy cables and tangled wires! I can enjoy uninterrupted video streaming up to 98ft/30m without any lag or signal loss.
