Nicely made strap and feels just like the elite pretty much and at nearly half the price! Very well balanced with a nice flexible back of head rubbery cradle which cups the back of my head nicely. I really like that it has an on/off button and battery status indicator lights. I can also confirm it charges the headset whilst playing which is great! No buzzing at all even with headset fully charged. No complaints so far!

If anything changes, I will update my review, but for now, I’m very happy with it!

OK, so unlike when i bought the Quest 3 i decided to wait a little before sorting out a more comfortable strap and extra battery time (you will need it)

On my quest 2 i used a strap from this brand Aubika and i loved it, never played enough to run the battery down. The quest 3 is a thirsty MF – on the stock battery i get about 75 mins of high activity like in Eleven Table Tennis for example. so i needed to get this sorted.

As my Q2 was an Aubika i thought i’d try their strap first I was a bit disappointed by the reviews talking about buzzing or ‘interference’ and also posts around the internet talking about the fact that most batteries can’t keep up with the Q3 thirst. I’m glad that i thought to myself ‘well, amazon return policy gives me a month’ and i went and ordered it.

I have to say that i’m glad I did – my rating is 4.5 stars – let’s tell you why.

    1) buzzing – the parts I’ve read in Reddit and other places suggests that the buzzing people have reported are when the headset batteries are quite depleted and you turn on the battery feed to top it up – you are basically hearing the charging of the unit – so any noise there is down to the Q3 and not the strap / battery. Thanks fully my unit has no noise at all.

    2) Interference – again I’ve had nothing but smooth audio and the usual smooth graphics.

    3) does it keep up with the quest? absolutely – I’ve played an hour of table tennis today. I waited for the unit to go down to 80% and then engaged the battery. by the end of the first hour the VR unit was still at 80%. Yes, it can keep up.

I can’t swear to the amount of play time i get with the strap before we are too low because honestly, 2 hours is about the limit of my game play – i’m 60 this year and basically buggered 🙂 maybe your review could test that? (go on, buy it you know you want to lol)

    4) Comfort – I have to say that this is the most comfortable strap I’ve had. better than the Aubika strap on the Quest 2 simply because of the hinge. I had a BoBo M2 first on my Q2 and honestly, to me it was like walking around with a car on your head! The BoBo irritated me so much that i sold it. This thing is lighter, better balanced and of course can be adjusted to fit with the back wheel.

    5) Now, that back wheel is the only reason that i took off a star. it’s very easy to clamp the headset in which is great, BUT if you have to lift it off then inevitably the position moves and you have to set it again. it’s a minor irritation but stops you from taking it off and then straight back on again. the extra half a star is available if they ever add some mechanism to ‘lock’ the circular band.

There is the over the head strap too which is uber comfortable. For the first time ever i can see myself watching a full movie with this on and not constantly thinking i’m wearing the VR.

That’s it – it’s more expensive than the cheapo (30) ones and most likely (looking at the box) made by the same company. it’s better made though and in my opinion just about worth the cost.

    Hope This Helps.

    I’m ‘Soultrader’ in most games

Very pleased with this replacement headstrap

Unlike some reviews, I’ve not noticed any buzzing noises in use.

This Headstrap is easy to install, it’s well made and balaces the quest 3 out nicely

The battery does in fact charge the quest 3’s internal battery even whilst playing demanding games. I’m getting 3.5 to 5 hours overall game time, depending on what I’m playing, and may be able to get more, but I’ve not played anything longer that this so far, I normally break for a rest after about 3 hours

    I would recommend this strap

This headstrap is 1000 times more comfortable than the one that comes with the quest 3. The only fiddly bit was feeding the top strap through the quest itself. It shows in the instructions that you are supposed to remove the face plate from the quest but when i attempted to remove it felt like the faceplate was going to break so i done it without removing it and it is fiddly to get it done. Once done though the headstrap is very comfortable and i let the battery run down to 15% before attaching the battery cable and it was charging no problem or buzzing. I have read that the official one from meta has charging issues and this at a much cheaper price is a no brainer. Thumbs up from me

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m very happy with the strap. I’ve used several custom straps between my quest 1, 2, and now 3, and this is probably the nicest one I’ve had yet. Tons of extra battery life, it balances the weight of the headset well, the padding on top is thick, the back portion cups your head nicely and it’s easy to adjust. I like the one port to charge the battery and q3, and I don’t hear any buzzing at all. I almost cancelled my order because of those buzzing complaints and so did my brother, but neither of ours have that issue. I’d buy this again in a heartbeat.

Love the design just like Q2s.
    Comfortable
Battery makes little buzzing sound although washed out by the noise of games so not an issue.
I’ve not experienced this interference that other guy mentioned.
    4 to 5 hours lifetime.
    Overall great product.

Very comfortable would recommend. Yes you get slight noise interference from the battery when you put it in charge mode but can only hear it if nothing is coming out the speakers. Keeps my MQ3 at 100% for around 3hours untill the strap dies.

4.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersExcellent strap, comfy and easy to fit. Yes there is a buzzing as others have mentioned, but I’ve worked out after testing alot, it only seems to do it when the head set is fully charged but not when you have run the headset internal battery down. So I bought a magnetic usb c charging insert and connected to the headset and charge lead. All I do now is run the battery down and then attach the lead to carry on, then it’s just knock it off when recharged. It’s not a major issue considering the meta one is twice the price. Overall I love the strap, but if the buzzing was fixed and the charging lead was about and inch and a half shorter this product would be a 5 star. But it’s well worth the money

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent strap with only slight issue

I have to admit I had concerns, when another review appeared after I placed my order, with mention of interference.

As a result, I plugged the battery in to try before fitting the headgear, in case it needed to go back. But I was pleased to find no interference with mine. I then fitted it and tried it properly, and it is very comfortable.

Only one criticism, and I feel guilty at dropping a whole point over it, but you can’t do 4.5 stars. The strap that goes over the top of your head is a bit short for me. That might just be my big head, although the headgear itself fits. I’ve got it to work, but may replace it later with a simple velcro strip.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent Elite-style headgear.
