Nice little light for outdoor photography or creating desired effects indoors.
Reasonable at 40.
This led light bar is a game-changer for photographers and videographers. It’s handheld, which makes it super convenient to navigate for the perfect lighting. The RGB colours are vibrant and adjustable, allowing me to create some really cool effects. It’s well-built and doesn’t feel cheap, plus the battery life is pretty good. If you’re looking to add some creative lighting to your photography or videography, this LED Light Bar is a must-have.
This is a really useful device if you shoot photography or, in my case, if you like to film video showcasing products.
Adding the light to the side of a shot allows you to add a different feel to it or create a certain kind of night/futuristic-style look even.
There’s a huge array of colours and brightness options available with this and you have the option to hold it or to mount it as needed using the ‘handle’ or thread.
All colours are changeable using the small buttons – the ‘on/off/s’ allows you to switch colours with a tap (on/off by hold) and the ‘m’ changes the mode between solid/flashing/etc. You then have a ‘+/-‘ to adjust the brightness.
You have up to 8 hours of battery that is rechargeable using an included USB cable, although I found this was quite a bit less when using the highest level of brightness – which is to be expected. If you needed to extend the battery, it will power through an external power bank.
Overall, this is a simple to use, but highly impactful device for photographers/videographers.
It also looks like a light sabre… which is always a bonus, right? 😀
A bit like airport ground crew signal bars.
Quite bright, with 9 colours and 12 modes.
Good battery life and easily recharge via USB.
And 30cm of LED and weighs only 250g.
Very portable to create the scene or lighting to suit, also 1/4” size to be fitted on tripod.
Reasonable at under 40.
A bright light (brightness can be turned down). The manual is useless – throw it away and just try it. The M button switches between three groups – white, static and effects. Then a brief press of the on/off button moves through the options in each group. White – different temperatures. Static – different colours. Effects – 12 different effects. The +/- do the brightness.
A good light with a range of options depending on your use case. Rechargeable via USB-C. Nice.
**Well this has light has realy impressed me** not just the power of it but also the build quality is amazing and as you can see from these photos is just a great light for this sort of money thank you **
This is a very nicely made wand light, featuring what’s becoming a standard set of lighting features – that are:
* white light mode with a preset range of colour temperatures to step through,
* RGB mode with 9 solid colours to step through, and
* Effects mode — basically a range of 12 different flash and fade patterns.
It’s very simple to use, having 4 button control — ‘On’, ‘M’ (mode), ‘+’ and ‘–‘ for brightness.
The ‘On’ button is also used to step through the settings of each mode, with the M (mode), button switching between the 3 (white, RGB, effects), modes, and + and — adjusting the brightness. It’s a quick and simple control — though it would’ve been nice to have a simple readout of the colour temp when in white light mode.
Build quality is really solid. The diffuser is backed by a nicely anodised aluminium profile, with a robust ABS handle.
Battery is lithium ion, 3.7v with a capacity of 2600mAh — I suspect that this is just a single 18650. At full brightness in white mode I got round about an hours use on a full charge (possibly a few min over). More than adequate.
I like the simplicity of the controls, and uncomplicated approach to switching settings — just choose either colour temp, or actual colour (dependent on mode), set intensity and go. Not really fussed about the effects modes — though they’re there and work very well (colour transitions when in colour cycling are very smooth for example).
The handle base also has a standard ” threaded nut for mounting to a tripod.
A decent quality light, well thought out and easy to use – a useful addition to the kit bag.
This is perfect for a gaming rig or for just adding atmosphere to a location. Nice solid robust controls and a mount at the bottom for adding your own tripod legs if you want to keep it on a deck or similar . Overall very good
I am really in love with this beautiful RGB LED light bar that looks like a Yoda lightsaber from Star wars. It has all the 9 RGB colours and 4 normal light with adjustable temperature from warm 2500k to cool white 9000k.
It is very bright too but luckily brightness can be controlled from 0 to 100%. I gives very soft and even coverage of light when used for photography and videos. If you are into product or Macro photography then it is something you will love.
If you make videos for Social media like YouTube, tik tok etc, it will be a very lightweight and flexible light option. You can mount it on a light stand or mini tripod etc with 1/4 inch screw which is standard for most of the stands and tripods. It USB C charging port and cable is supplied along with a wrist strap and a zipped cover that is water resistant. Battery has a good life and will last over 8 hours which is more than enough for content creation or if you using it as a Colour light to highlight your living room etc. I am a photographer and this will give me tons of reasons to use. It will be a nice prop for model to hold like a lightsaber. I will use for background RGB setup, I will use it for Video conference as well as gaming ambient light.
I am absolutely delighted with this product and would definitely recommend it.
For me personally this handheld LED light bar adds great visually colourful effects and sets the scene for what even lighting effect your going for. I mount these types of light bars to either a tripod or light stand because at the base of the light bar itself is a standard 1/4″ thread, and behind the subject I’m photographing or videoing. Great range of colour adjustability and brightness control. Button controls are towards the bottom/back of the handheld LED light bar. Light bar has solid colour modes and 12 flashing effects. The light bar has a built in 3.7V 2600mAh battery and can be charged with the included USB cable. A great lighting Ideal for different for content creators, home users etc.
A really good quality light stick with a nice selection of colours and temperature effects for support of artistic photography. The stick is sold with a strong beam and very easy to use. For convenience the stick comes with a useful carry case . It charges nicely and you get good usage (well over an hour) for every projec
Easy to use light stick with 3 different settings (white light, blue light and strobe).
Charges via USB, has a nice weight to it not too heavy and not too light either.
Has multiple brightness settings easily cycled through with the + and – buttons on the handle
Recommended, great for adding light to videos and photos
I do like these LED lights for use in video making. These smaller ones, like this HeySliy one, aren’t really powerful enough to be used as a key light. But they are great for fill lights or background lights.
This particular light is the “wand” type and it’s super lightweight because it’s pretty much all plastic. I’m happy to have a lightweight light as long as it works and this does work well, as you can see in the short video I’ve uploaded.
The light itself has several features, most of which I won’t use to be honest. I just want light – I don’t need all the scene simulation gimmicks that you can’t avoid these days. Some people may find them useful, but I don’t. Fortunately the standard light part works well and suits my needs.
It has a rechargeable battery so no trailing wires! And you don’t need to be near a mains outlet to use this.
I think this is really ideal, in particular, for use as a fill light on a person and the shape lends itself well to lighting up the side of the face. It also works well as a background light – watch the video to see some examples. In particular check out when I use it as a fill light on my face – it really makes a massive difference.
It’s suprisingly bright too – I almost blind myself by accident in the video, as you’ll see.
Overall it’s a good, solid LED light and good value at the current price so well worth 5 stars.
And yes, if you watch the video and see me pretending that it’s a light saber, yes I did! It was a lot of fun and yes I’m a big kid!
Better quality than I was expecting, quite bright and nicely diffused for a fairly compact light. It’ll be great for photography / video work.
The controls are easy enough to use but don’t quite match up to the description in the manual. For example it says that to switch between the special effect you use the +/- buttons, but they control the brightness and in fact you use short presses on the power button to switch between effects. Also the listed order of the effects isn’t quite right, but I’m splitting hairs. Once you get the hang of it you won’t need the manual anyway.
It has RGB, cool white and warm white, and you can mix cool and warm to get intermediate colour temperatures, which is great. The colour choices are a bit limited though. It’s red, green, blue, yellow (which looks orange), purple and cyan. That’s it, no RGB mixing which is shame because the hardware is obviously capable of mixing because it does so in the “party” modes.
USB-C recharging makes it very convenient. Note however that you can’t (or shouldn’t) use it while charging. The manual says it will cause it overheat, damaging the battery.
Anyway, for an inexpensive video light it’s still very good and I like it. It would be ideal for a beginner who isn’t ready to splash out on more capable gear just yet.
