Really easy to set up, convenient to feed my cats whilst I’m out of the house all day. You can set how many portions to give at each feed which is helpful so you know your cat isn’t eating too much in one day. Holds a large amount of food so you don’t have to worry about it running out whilst you are out. Cats run to it as soon as they hear the food dropping into the metal bowls.
Great design and so far so good. The lid doesn’t seem to hold in place so cats managed to break in to get the food. Recorded saying the cat names and they’re getting used to it. Check portion sizes before you set it all up as can seem smaller than you expect.

I managed to set the meals with the correct quantity and this is helping my cats to stay fit. The dispenser is very quiet, the only noise it makes it’s when the kibbles are dropped into the metallic bowls.
Because I don’t have a perfect place to plug it in, I decided to use it only with the batteries (Varta Long Life Power). It’s running on batteries for 1 month already and the low battery indicator it’s still not shown, so maybe it will take another month to consume them, but for me this is amazing.
Note: if you want to plug it in, you might need an adaptor.
Pleased with our purchase. We thought that our Honey Guardian pet Food dispenser had broken! It turned out to be that a biscuit had got stuck so operator error. Checked power source (OK), timers work, voice recorder works, but no biscuits were being dispensed. We thought Motor must have gone wrong. We only use at holiday times, so only light use, still have the plastic cover on the biscuit lid top to keep it clean. We purchased April 2022. Today is September 2023. For 69.99 UK pounds good value and it has not let us down since.
Easy to set up in my opinion and 3 months in its still working as expected. Feed mine twice a day and they’re now at the point where they’re waiting the call for the food to drop.
Voice notification is great and they respond to it, but it doesn’t happen if you send extra food outside the set up feeding plan.
Holds a 2kg iams bag of cat food but sometimes needs a shake to make sure the cells are filled with kibble.
Very happy with the purchase and it still catches me off guard when on of my kids voices starts shouting at the cats from the feeder that it’s “FOOD” time.
It’s very easy to assemble and clean. The recording feature is very useful and although the original set up may appear overbearing, once you actually read the instructions, it’s all very simple. There are a few minor things which I would recommend looking into, in the future though.
Firstly, it could be beneficial to have volume control. We have an elderly outdoor cat and with all the background noise, he struggles to hear the recording. The bunnies also don’t seem to react unless they happen to be in the same room. If only one is in the room, the portion for three will be consumed by that one. It could be useful to set a different volume during different times of day so that you can alter it based on your routine and based on where your companion will be at the specified time. Ie. Morning can be quieter as they’re in the same room, lunch can be louder as they’ll likely be elsewhere.
Secondly, I struggled a bit with the portion size, that could have just been due to the pellets themselves though. I tried to break them up, to make it easier to distribute, however, the left bowl always appears to have significantly more in it. You don’t notice the portion difference as much during larger meals but when testing the 3 & 4 portion setting, the left bowl ended up with twice as many nuggets as the right. However, once again, this could just be due to the fact that rabbit pellets are typically cylindrical as opposed to cat nuggets which tend to be smaller and rounder.
Lastly, the instructions booklet mentions a single output for just one pet. However, it doesn’t explain where to find it nor how to fit it. Although we have three rabbits, we also have a cat and when we go on holidays, this feeder would be ideal for him. The current one we own isn’t mechanical so it provides him with 24/7 access to food and it’s constantly exposed to the environment. This one would be perfect but we have no idea how to change the output/distributer nor where to find it. It’s not necessarily an issue as he can just use two bowls but since the instructions mention the option to change, it would have been nice to have been provided with more information.
All in all, it’s a great machine that has proven extremely useful. Although it could do with some tweaks, it does the job and it’s affordable I honestly can’t fault this model.
