We have had this kind of dinnerware set before and we found them ideal for the kids, who had gone through a phase of dropping and smashing the best plates and dishes. A few things though. Firstly, the plates in this set are not overly big and would probably not be suitable for adult sized appetites. Due to the materials used to make the product they do stain really easily, especially with curry and tomato based sauces. The plates can be damaged, our old ones cracked and even upon delivery, one of the new items was cracked. Overall though, you are getting value for money.

As a family of 3 we were more than happy with these set. We took the set camping recently and it was perfect for all meal times, easy to clean and even more so my son was over the moon with picking his colour full set.

The HooySprs 36 piece dinnerware se for 4, arrived in a surprisingly small plain box inside the outer carton. I got them for using in the garden when we are having a family BBQ and the set is perfect for this purpose, especially as the plates have a decent rim, and my wife really likes the colours.

As a family we love days out, so thought this would be a good choice.
The set comes with a range of plates and bowls, cups/tumblers and individually cased sets of cutlery.
They seem really well made and durable, which would make them great for picnics and camping trips.
    Overall great value

This is such a great value set. I particularly like the size of the smaller bowls. I don’t have kids but much prefer using these sets compared to glass when I’m on my own. They’ve been through several dishwasher cycles with no issues. I haven’t used the cutlery yet and probably won’t until something like a picnic comes up, but I’ve been impressed with the quality of the rest of the set.

I needed a dinner set for those picnic outings and come across the HooySprs 48piece set which had everything I needed. This set contains 4 of every type of dish/utensil and some bonus fruit forks. The set itself arrives well packaged and on opening i found the quality of the various dinner pieces of good quality and well made. The set has 4 different colours and the dinnerware is lightweight but durable also.

For something used so irregularly i was pleasantly surprised it’s dishware safe, which makes cleaning up after those picnics much more manageable. The cutlery is also pretty strong and durable, i feel this set will handle some abuse.

Overall it’s under 20 for a good quality dinner set, that’s dishwasher safe and even microwave safe for short periods of time, i think it’s well worth the money, offering much better value and environmental friendliness compared to disposables.

This reusable dinnerware set combines durability, functionality, and portability in a promising manner and with good value. I’ve utilised this dinnerware set for some camping trips and outdoor picnics and its been a great utility. The set includes everything you could possibly need for a meal outdoors, from dishes and plates to cups and utensils. Plus, the addition of fruit forks adds a thoughtful touch to comprehensive dining experiences.

The claim of being “unbreakable” is not an exaggeration. Despite accidental drops and bumps during outdoor excursions, the dinnerware set has remained intact without any chips or cracks. One of the standout features is undoubtedly the lightweight construction. Carrying the entire set is a breeze, whether hiking to a campsite or strolling through a park for a picnic. I end up using these at home, too, as these are microwave safe. The color-coded options make it easy to differentiate between sets, reducing mix-ups during group outings.

While the inclusion of chopsticks is appreciated, the quality could be improved slightly. Thicker chopsticks with better grip would enhance the overall dining experience, especially for individuals accustomed to using traditional utensils.

Overall, its great dinnerware on the go option for durability, functionality, and portability. It’s a reliable companion for outdoor adventures and versatile enough for everyday use. Despite minor drawbacks, the positives far outweigh any negatives, making it a worthy investment for anyone seeking a comprehensive dining solution on the go.

My partner immediately fell for this vibrant and comprehensive picnic set, and it’s easy to see why. Included in the package are 4 each of plates, side plates, bowls, cups, and cutlery sets, plus 8 adorable fruit forks, all in an appealing pastel palette of beige, green, pink, and mustard.

The thoughtfully designed plates feature a generous rim, perfect for saucy dishes without the worry of spills. Each item, from the plates to the bowls, boasts a sufficient size for a variety of foods, enhancing the usability of the set. The mottled effect pattern on each piece adds a touch of whimsy and style, making them not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.

These picnic essentials are crafted from sturdy, eco-friendly materials that promise durability and resistance to breakage, even when dropped. This is a huge plus for outdoor gatherings. Additionally, all items are safe for use in dishwashers, microwaves, and freezers, and they stack neatly within each other or back in the box for effortless storage.

The variety of colours in the set is not only charming but also practical, allowing users to easily identify their own plates or cups, reducing mix-ups during gatherings. Considering the quantity and quality of the items provided, this set offers excellent value for money.

We are thoroughly impressed with this picnic set. It has proven to be a versatile companion for parties, barbecues, camping trips, and picnics. Its robust build, combined with its functional and attractive design, ensures that this set will be a staple in our indoor and outdoor dining for years to come.

This set has loads in it. There are bowls, cups, cutlery and more bowls. They are made of something seemingly invincible. They can bend but you have to really put the effort in. And then they are still fine. They don’t stay bent. Very, very tough.

The cutlery is not as tough but, again, you’d have to work very hard to break them. I don’t overly like how they feel to use but that is a preference more than anything. There’s nothing wrong with using them and it’s nice how they look. The box is a nice touch to keep them all together and ideal for a picnic.

For the price they are a good option with plenty of use. We’re happy with them.

I ordered these for our camper van. They are made from wheat straw so they are eco. They do look and feel like plastic, so I have to trust that they aren’t. It’s a full set of small, lightweight, bowls, beakers, plates and cutlery. The plates are deep so though they are small they hold a fair bit. I like the fact the pieces are small as they encourage you to eat and drink less and are easier to store. The range of colours is interesting and nice. I love the little boxes for the cutlery. The only thing I don’t like are the little forks, there’s a lot of two prong forks with the word BABY on them?? I can’t really work that out?? Seems very odd. Might be useful for canapes or something, but I am not sure how useful they are? Remains to be seen?? Lightweight eco dinner ware for camping, picnics and travel.

I chose this HooySprs 48pcs camping set, which, as the listing states, is suitable for four people. There are quite a few similar sets on the market; what sets this one apart is the inclusion of some squarish plates (I feel like this makes it a little classier), the colour palette, and the smooth profile (not ridges) which I like.

My favourite thing about the set is the cutlery. I love the fact that each set comes in its own separate box (actually taking the number of pieces up to 52) and I’ve already popped a couple of knives and forks into one of the boxes for ad-hoc summer usage when out and about. The cutlery isn’t massively heavy duty but is on a par with other picnic sets with the added plus of a lovely shape and delicate design.

The box the plates come in – unfortunately it’s only a paper box, not a reusable one – states that the set is made from “wheat straw”. After reading up on it, I see that wheat straw contains a cellulose compound called lignin, which, when combined with other safe ingredients (like sugar) creates a eco-friendly plastic alternative.

Sometimes manufacturers use wheat straw on its own, and sometimes they add plastic to mould the plates. The box and description here mention only what straw, but the plates show a 3 and plastics 5 recycle logo – hmm. Plastics Mark Five is PP, Polypropolene. This suggests the product is made of some sort of mixture of the two. I would prefer wheat straw on its own, so I’m docking a mark for that.

I love the colour scheme of the blue and teal, but am a bit less keen on the terracotta colour and the yellow. The yellow has little flecks in it, which does make it look a little more expensive ( don’t know why!) but it can be mistaken for a dirty plate! Hopefully I can get used to this pretty quick!

The set also includes 12 fruit forks, honestly, they’re fine but the colours don’t match the main set and they say ‘baby” on them so it’s a bit random they’re included in the first place. Also If I’m having a picnic it’s unlikely I’ve gonna carry a whole set of ‘fruit forks’ that I don’t use at home on a day-to-day basis. So lets call them a nice-to-have add-on, and not much else.

Overall I do like this set, It’s good to upgrade the picnic wear as any plastic plates etc will degrade when marked or scored by cutting ect. These have washed well and not been marked by cutlery etc. I would recommend.

for 4 people includes 4 dishes, 4 square plates, 4 bowls, 4cups, 4 pairs of chopsticks, 4 spoons, 4 food knives, 4 forks, 4 storage boxes and 12 fruit forks for all your dining needs.”

For what you get this is good value,it comes with a drawstring bag to put them in. It also comes with some small fruit forks. They are unbreakable so ideal for kids, they can be out in the fridge, washed in the dishwasher and microwave safe (although there are limitations on using them in the micro, personally I won’t be putting them in the microwave at all)

Ordered this tableware set and it came with 4 bowls, 4 big plates, 4 small plates, 4 cups, and 4 full sets of cutlery which includes chopsticks. The set is dishwasher safe and easy to clean. The material is strong and durable. Great for BBQs/picnics and great for toddlers to use.

It’s only mentioned on the box, not the listing, that these are allegedly made from wheat.

Fantastic size for picnics and finger foods, or for children to use. The plates are a bit small to fit a full adult meal on it entirely, but that’s not what they were designed for.

Does attract dog hair even after washing, especially the yellow and teal cups.

Very easy to wash (an adult hand may struggle to get into the bottom of the cups), and stack away with little footprint.

Love that they’re microwaveable too! The cutlery boxes are really useful and have space for a couple of the fruit forks to be stored in there too.

A well made set with more than enough bowls, plates and cutlery we would ever need for parties and picnics. The outer edges of the bowls and some of the mould lines on the cutlery were a little rough, but can be sanded down pretty easily. The set was also quite dusty inside, but again not much of an issue after a clean. If you are expecting a refined and well finished set then you might be slightly disappointed but after a good clean and filing, the set is pretty good value at just under 20.

We are Very LUCKY to try “HooySprs 48Pcs Unbreakable Dinnerware Set for 4, Large & Small Plates, & Tumblers, PLUS Matching Cutlery (Knife, fork & Spoon, plus Chopsticks, in Holders) colourful. Lightweight, BBQ, Picnic Camping Dinner Sets -Macaroon colours” through AMAZON VINE. Thank you.

~~We PROMISE this WILL BE our COMPLETELY HONEST personal opinion~~
~~ Reviews Are Even More IMPORTANT as NONE OF US HAVE MONEY TO WASTE~~

    ++* GREAT COMPLETE SET.
Though 16 items may never be used. Baby forks/Pickle Forks & Chopsticks.

++* EACH PLACE SETTING IS A DIFFERENT MACAROON BASED COLOUR.
So each person can have their own complete set IN ONE COLOUR.

++* PIECES ARE LIGHTWEIGHT BUT STILL STURDY, STRONG & We believe will be Durable.
No ‘give’ when you squeeze tumblers.

++* YOU CAN MAKE IT SURPRISINGLY COMPACT for 48pcs.
Both pkatter/plate sizes & square Bowls, plus Tumblers all stack neatly.

.???? If Tumblers (Cups) Could Stack a LITTKE CLOSER, further into each other, that WOULD be an IMPROVEMENT. .????

++* EACH PERSONS CUTLERY (including chopsticks) COMES IN ITS OWN COLOUR COORDINATED STORAGE BOX. Fantastic idea much more hygienic. Very impressed with this.
Though We WOULD suggest an elastic band around each box. as some of our cutlery boxes keep popping open in the box & emptying out the contents. (We have clicked the lids down, but happened again to 2 boxes.)

    ++* VERY WELL MADE ‘CROCKERY’.
Thought it may be made from bamboo, but Wheat is mentioned on the box. But nowhere else, that I can see.

++* BRILLIANT FOR LITTLE ONES, NOT JUST BECAUSE IT IS DURABLE.
BUT DUE TO THE FACT THE SMALLER SQUARE PLATTER IS WELL LIPPED, & THE SQUARE BOWLS ARE SMALLER THAN MOST BOWLS.

++* PERFECT FOR CLUMSY (ARTHRITIC, NUMB, BURNING HANDS TOO) AS THERE IS A SLIGHTLY ROUGH TEXTURE TO THE PLASTIC (just enough that if your hands were wet or you didn’t have a tight grip, it may still stay in your hands.)
++* PLUS RIDGES ON THE BOWLS.
????? THOSE RIDGES WOULD ALSO BE USEFUL ON THE OUTSIDE ON THE TUMBLERS TOO. ?????

**** NOTE ALL SAFETY WARNINGS WHICH ARE ON LISTING. ****
**** INCLUDING.. EG. MICROWAVE UPTO 249 degrees FOR 5 MINUTES. ****
—-* ALL THE SAFETY INFORMATION SHOULD IDEALLY ALSO BE WRTTEN ON A LEAFLET IN BOX TOO.
YES It is/would be obvious to some/most, but no harm in reminding or advising newb8 campers that the plate will melt if too close to bbq!

++* MULTI FUNCTIONAL & useful FOR ALL GENERATIONS.

We ALWAYS UPDATE our REVIEWS WHEN & IF, we have any FURTHER OBSERVATIONS or EXPERIENCES TO ADD. Both Good or Bad, NO MATTER HOW SMALL, just INCASE THEY MAY HELP you MAKE a INFORMED DECISION.

This 48-Piece Dinnerware set is great for Picnics and things like bbqs or even kids parties.

The set includes everything you need for four people: plates, bowls, cups, and even cutlery which comes in its own little containers. I like the colour scheme which you can use to identify your own set but it also brightens up the occasion.

These are very light and because they are made of (cheap) plastic type material they are not going to break easily. Again good for kids parties or for storing in a basket for a picnic as they won’t add much bulk due to the low weight.

Also for such a lot of dishware these don’t take up much space to store as they stack away nicely.

The only little downside is that the dishes do look cheap. They aren’t that pricey and you do get a lot so this is a minor niggle but enough to knock one star off.

This brightly coloured set of plastic crockery and cutlery has everything you need for a picnic or general household use. The set includes plates, bowls, cups, knives, forks, spoons and odd little forks (that I’ve read here are ‘fruit forks’ but I’m a bit lost as to why they’re carved with ‘baby’ at the top?!) and it has almost all you’ll need for this for a family of four.

You may find the pieces are a little small if you’re planning on putting an adult meal on them, but it’s a great set for either children’s use in the home, or as garden/picnic tableware. Very impressed that it’s all easy to clean and is both microwave and dishwasher safe with a BPA free finish. Beats the cheap sets you’ll find in discount stores that you have to wash by hand and can’t heat up!

The set is also very sturdy and I’ve given it a bit of rough handling to check how durable it is and it has performed well. It’s probably not wise or safe to properly test the maker’s claims of ‘unbreakability’, but it certainly doesn’t smash when dropped or bashed generally. A good set on the whole and handy to have.

4.0 out of 5 stars Attractive colours and very sturdy

I ordered this wheat straw picnic set for going out with friends and eating at events but then realised just how much china I break in the house so thought it’s also a great option for home use for clumsy people, too. They can also be used in both the microwave and dishwasher.

There are 4 each of plates which are teaplate-sized, bowls and smaller plates (saucer-sized), plus matching boxed cutlery sets which include chopsticks, and 12 small forks for cake/olives/garnishes. The chopsticks are awkward to hold because of their size, and the knives are a strange design with limited use but better than nothing. The crockery is also a little sharp, as are the cups.

A small point but the yellow pieces have a slightly speckled design which just makes them look dirty, to the extent that I actually tried to wipe away the marks before washing the set. I much preferred the solid colours.

There are 52 pieces in total:

    4 plates
    4 bowls
    4 small plates
    4 cups
    12 cake forks
4 cutlery boxes, each with knife, fork, spoon and 2 chopsticks = 24
    TOTAL 52 pieces

4* — I love the fact that this set is made from eco-friendly, gluten-free wheat straw, a byproduct of the wheat industry and that element helped bump the score from 3.5* to 4*. I like the colours but the cutlery is a strange design, chopsticks hard to handle because of their size and the crockery and cups have slightly sharp edges BUT I’ll still be using them at picnics, events and even at home — no more smashed plates!

These are really full dinner set for families of 4. Totally 48pcs camping set includes 4 dishes, 4 square plates, 4 bowls, 4cups, 4 pairs of chopsticks, 4 spoons, 4 food knives, 4 forks, 4 storage boxes and 12 fruit forks. They are made of reusable materials. It can be easily cleaned with water and can be used in microwave. Available in 4 colours, they are lightweight and portable, quite convenient though the quality is just alright.

This is quite a nice picnic and/ or camping set, and could also be useful for carers of youngish children who might want to eat in gardens or patios in summer months — the material is claimed to be unbreakable. Each set of cutlery (comprising knife/fork/spoon and two chopsticks) comes in its own little storage box, which I think is a nice touch. It’s a set designed for four people, so the use of four distinct colours mean that it’s easy to keep track of which item belongs to whom. The material is dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave safe.

  22. Lancy says:

This is a really lovely looking picnic set. The pastel colours are lovely, the variety of items is good. You get four cutlery sets, four plates, four bowls, four square plates and four medium sized beakers (plus some fruit / chip forks). They’re very lightweight and durable which is perfect for outside eating and transporting it around.

Sadly though some of the items in this set are a little small. The cups and bowls are fine but the plates are really no bigger than tea plates and the square plates are like saucers. They’re nowhere near the size depicted in the product photos. You really won’t get much on them and while you can spread your food around the plate, bowl and square plate that could be quite annoying when camping as space is always at a premium, especially at the picnic tables.

Still, this is a very usable set, it’s just we might be making more than one trip up to get food.

I actually got this for my house because I don’t enjoy washing plates and the plastic tends to be easier to clean. However, the plates are quite small sort of just an offer sandwich and the cups are regular size the little things that the knives and forks come in is pretty cool are they, chopsticks and stuff however they are probably gonna break off in your food, you could break it off in chicken nugget to be honest lol

By far the biggest plus with this are the cutlery sets. They come in their own lidded containers and you get a knife, fork, spoon and chopsticks. Chopsticks!! I adore getting Chinese takeaway from those little places where they make it in front of you and then hand you a carton full of food for about 7…and sometimes they don’t have cutlery or chopsticks available. These sets come in so handy and there’s no mess because you can just pop the lid on and crack on after you’re done.

The rest of the set is fantastic and well made, with the plates having curved sides so your food doesn’t fall everywhere. They also don’t stain easily, which is great, and they clean well.

You can’t go wrong getting this set. Totally worth it.
