These are excellent quality for the price. I needed some new speakers for my computer after the ones I had for years finally broke. I’m on my computer for work and nonwork, which are used constantly. They give off great auto on the lowest setting. I wish the wire that connects the two speakers were a little longer. The fact that they light up is a bonus.
Bought these just have something till I got better. But I’ll end up keeping them cause they are very good for the price. May not have the bass some people would want but for listening to music and gaming I use a headse
These are worth the money. They’re not booming loud, but if you have an audio interface such as a focusrite you can increase the output a bit.
My only gripe is that these automatically turn back on when I turn my computer off.
I never leave a comments but I had to love this, at first I wasn’t for sure to get it but i read the reviews and it was all good so decided to get it and I’m happy I did just got it yesterday sounds good
For the price point they do the job. I didn’t notice how dominant the lights were but they still do what I wanted, improved basic sound. Certainly not for the very demanding but you didn’t pay for that. Some kind of timed off feature or operating with lights off would be nice
Right, to begin with the bottom line…we are not talking Bose here so please accept that. Having said that, these speakers are totally fit for purpose which was to override the diabolical speakers HP put into their laptops. The Insmart speakers do a sterling job and tick all the boxes really. Very attractive and certainly well made. The gimmickly lights look the part and create the ambience. For the price what are you waiting for?
Bought these to see what they would be like and they are great, with or without headphones, the volume is great but does get a bit crackly when too high so bare that in mind
These were recommended to me by an IT Guru.
Installation wasn’t a drama; the backlight brightens up the office; they sound so alive and I didn’t need to take out a mortgage!
Due to my monitor not having speakers, i bought these and had them for roughly 2 weeks and zero problems with them so far. Love that i can change the sound output from the speakers as it’s quick and easy
I recently updated my monitors to Dell curved monitors (deal at Costco) and I realized that I had no sound with these monitors. I looked for a cheap option and I settled on these. They are AWESOME and surpassed my expectations. I want to buy another set for a TV in another room. The sound quality is amazing, and I am blasting music to drown out the fireworks. I would recommend this product to family and friends.
I got these at $20 and for that price it’s a pretty good deal. They’re nothing special but work well enough for me. My main complaint is that the volume level indicator knob seems to have been stamped in reverse so at max volume it indicates you arent even at 1/4 power and at about 1/4 power it indicates full volume. Basically the dot spiral on the knob should go counter-clockwise instead of clockwise.
These are nice low cost speakers, they produce nice clear sound and the amp’s are strong enough for it to sound nice with just a 2 speaker setup. The cards do plug into a single USB and as well as your computers sound outlet. No power adapter for these speakers, but you obviously need those two plug-ins available for these to work with your setup. These aren’t high end speakers, but for the price and the added feature of non-addressable RGB it was well worth the price for my wife’s computer.
To be clear, I bought these primarily for video conference purposes – i.e. not to listen to hi-fidelity music. I wanted something I knew would be loud enough to drown out any noise outside my home office – like the guys that always seem to mow my lawn during my most critical conference calls!
These speakers are plenty, and I mean plenty loud. I haven’t come close to turning these up all the way, and don’t think I ever will since I like my hearing.
I am playing music on them and they are perfectly fine for my taste, but my 21 year old son would probably find them unacceptable as he’s really into audio perfection.
I have this product connected to my new omen hp 30L. The sound quality for watching shows on Netflix or Amazon is good. It is loud and has a decent range of bass.
The RBG effect is mediocre and is there for effect only as you cannot customize the colors or rotation and the effect is controlled by tapping the top of one of the speakers.
For gaming I used this product with a wide variety of games. Skyrim, Fallout, Apex Legends, Terraria, etc.
The issue with this product in my experience, and why I cannot rate it above a 3 is because the low range sound quality is very poor. If someone is sneaking up on you, or if there are low range sounds that you need to hear to make a decision- you can’t hear them well on this product.
The other reason why I couldn’t rate this products quality above a 3 is because the sound control is not the best when compared to other devices.
The best quality of this device is actually just how LOUD it can go. It fills my entire house with a loud sound. Great for a party atmosphere if you only have a pc to play music off of. Very good for doing chores around the house among other things.
I rate it a 3/5. Honestly it’s closer to a 7/10 because of the price being what it is. If this product was near 100 bucks- I’d stay away from it like the plague. But the price really helps make this product viable and competitive against other more expensive/superior products.
They’re not the most amazing speakers by any means, but they do their job. It’s probably possible to get ones in this price range, minus the RGB, that have a bit better sound quality… but I think it really isn’t completely awful. I’m not really some audiophile by any means, so it doesn’t bother me all that much—I’m mostly satisfied with them for the aesthetic value they add to my setup. They don’t have any static, which I was actually anticipating based on other reviews. Thankfully, for now that isn’t the case.
They do seem a bit fragile, so I am vaguely concerned about their durability and long-term hold up, but for now they’re working perfectly fine. The volume dial is a bit touchy, and the speakers themselves are a bit quieter than I’d like, with less volume range.
I find the feature of touching the top to turn on/off to be kind of cool/amusing as well.
If you want outstanding quality, go elsewhere. If you need a cheap and functional solution with a bit of aesthetic flare, then these are pretty decent.
So I got these to sit in my workshop, as they were inexpensive, wired (yeah, not everything needs to be bluetooth people). These sit attached to the computer that controls my X-Carve CNC router. I use it for either playing musing when working in the shop or watching an instructional YouTube video. These aren’t going to replace a set of high-end studio monitors or home theater speakers, but seriously they are inexpensive Blinky speakers! The lighting for me was a good safety item as since they are glowing all the time there is less chance of hitting them with a tool. In the workshop the lighting is not distracting (no idea if you were trying these in a home office how that would work). They sound pretty reasonable for the price and fill the shop with music easily. I have the USB cable into a USB hub (with high-powered ports) since this uses USB for power (not audio) and the audio goes through the 1/8″ TRS plug into a USB-C audio adapter on the micro-PC that doesn’t have a TRS plug on it. Works flawlessly. I am a big guy with big hands, so I appreciate a reasonable sized volume knob that I can grab with my larger fingers. They have reasonable bass for small speakers, and aren’t boomy (which is a good thing). They have survived getting continuously covered in dust from the CNC (mostly sawdust – despite the dust collection) and work perfectly.
Would I buy them again? Absolutely. Would I use them for mixing down a high-fidelity recording? Not at all. For casual speakers they are perfect. The amount of bass is just right for my needs. I highly recommend them for casual use. My only wish (I may create one) is some sort of real mount so you could screw them into something (like a 1/4-20 threaded mount point) in the shop.
