It’s a solid product and the squirrels cant chew through it. Which is the main reason I chose it. The top and bottom fit on in a “twist/slot” style and its kinda loose and has the potential to come on too easily. But overall, good product.

My new finch feeder is perfect! It has attracted so many birds! The roof of the feeder keeps the seed dry. It is very well made and easy to fill and clean!

I absolutely love these feeders. It took a few weeks to get the yellow one but I was very surprised about how nice and sturdy it was. I loved the yellow one so much I bought the blue one because it has bigger mesh for sunflower seeds or safflower seeds. I would definitely buy from this seller again.

Good quality and easy to fill. The small birds like it, find it easy to pluck out the nyger seed, and I like the bright Spring yellow color. I removed one star because some seed drops out into the bottom ledge when pecked out and when it rains heavily gets lumped up so you have to clean it off, but not a big deal. Reasonable price for a feeder too.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI had problems getting finches to come to a sock style thistle feeder. I would occasionally see them eating seed heads on my perennials and love their song. Once I put this feeder up, I see lots of different colored ones and hear them singing in my area more than normal. It got a little crowded at the first one so I bought a second feeder to put beside it. This feeder is very easy to fill and to clean.

Just got it. Looks very sturdy, all metal construction, although the hanging ring was a bit open which seemed rickety: I squeezed it shut for more security. My disappointment is I misread the color: the gray is a real gunmetal gray, an opaque paint. Similar to a car paint. Looks more industrial than I imagined. Given this, and what a bird site says: “Design: Always go for the bright and colorful feeder. Plain wood with a dull color might not be practical in attracting finches. These birds are drawn to vivid colors, and the more color there is in your feeder, the higher the chances of them stopping by to feed on it.” Also I’m just now seeing the review about wasting nyjer seed (which this does: I poured seed in and it falls out of the mesh immediately, which means pigeons will be at the tray for sure), I’ll be returning this, alas. The learning continues!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersPerfect tube feeder. Holds a lot of seed and goldfinch seems to love it. Easy to fill; easy to clean. Both top and bottom twist off. A small brush and soapy water gets the job done.
    Highly recommend

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersTons of goldfinches came to this feeder. In a little more than a month the little knob that held the hanging ring broke off. So disappointing. It seems to have just been glued on? Not soldered or attached with a screw.
Edited because their support team was very responsive and is sending me a new one.
However, this issue has come up for other people. They need to change the design.

    Broke within a month

Feeder is easy to fill, looks nice. The food in the bottom tray did get wet in the rain but the food in the mesh part stayed dry under the cover.

I seem to have the whole bird population of my neighborhood visiting daily. I use Nyjer (thistle) seed. The only problem is that (by the nature of the holder) a lot of seed falls to the ground. But it’s not a problem if you like to see birds (and the occasional mouse) feeding on the ground as well.

Purchased this feeder late in the summer. Although it was too late to attract finches it has fed a variety of small birds in the yard. I love this feeder. I’m able to take it apart when it’s time to fill and wipe it clean and easily reassemble it. It is sturdy and attractive. Unlike the clear plastic tube type feeders, it holds up to all weather conditions and the squirrel population. I’m thinking of purchasing more of this type, for myself and friends. Great product!!!

This is a very nice medium sized feeder. It’s attractive, well made, & easy to fill. I just hung it 2 days ago & the birds have yet to discover it, but I’m sure they will enjoy it soon.

I’ve been looking for a birdfeeder that attracts smaller birds, and that I can put thistle seed in I have so many new birds coming into my backyard, especially song birds. This birdfeeder was exactly what I was looking for. I’m thinking about ordering another one for my front yard.
