Absolutely love this. Bought it for my new cooker top as a protector and I don’t know how I managed before without one. It’s easy to clean and it adds extra work space when needed

My kitchen often doubles as a workspace, making the prevention of wear and tear on surfaces essential. This rubber hob cover has been instrumental in that endeavour. Not only does it shield the cooktop from unwanted scratches, but it also serves as additional space when needed. It’s heat-resistant up to 400F, which is a handy feature, and it stays put thanks to the anti-slip coating. Once I’m finished with it, a quick wipe or a run through the dishwasher leaves it spotless. Bear in mind, it should not be on the stovetop while it’s in use. A small compromise for a big payoff,I’dsay.
I use this to basically to turn the hob into another surface, because you can’t really roll double on a scratched up surface. The surface is already well marked, and has little dimples and scratches in the glass, and it’s not an induction stove, it’s a thermal electric hob, so you can’t really put this on there and assume that it won’t burn.
What I do is keep this cover clean, and then put it on top of the hob when I want to use it to roll dough, make pizzas, or do something similar with food, because it keeps the food from contaminating, and lets me focus on the task without worrying about the hob getting knife marks or the food getting hub bits.
It works well, and looks nice, and once washed you can leave it on the hob so no one has to see the scratched up surface.
So I think this is a really good way for us to protect the glass of the hob, but it’s more than that it also helps us keep it clean, because if I let a pan boil over, its not the problem it was before using this where it would bake onto the hob top, because this provides a nice “Shield/Guard” against it, and then best of all, I can just lift this “Off” the cooker, and I can then wash it in the sink with warm water, and it will just clean back up lovely, so all the previous scrubbing to get the marks off of the top of the cooker is gone, and I for one am very happy about that.
The material is nice, and it also provides that little bit of a “Cushion” on the cooker top which for me personally is amazing, because I have nerve damage that can make me drop things or at least have to put things down faster than I may wish too, so the fact that this will stop the horrible “clanging” sound that the pans make when I drop them down on to the Hob top, is frankly very reassuring for me.
Even the fitting of these is easy, I can just trim it with decent scissors and have it fit the exact size of the Hob it is on, great.
All in all, I think this is a very nice, and stylish, solution, to a cleaning issue, a me being unavoidably heavy handed, I have more confidence that I’m not going to damage/Crack the Hob top with this in place, so both me and my wife are very happy about that.
