Was concerned at first as I was walking through very heavy rain but when I checked the laptop inside, it was completely dry.
Really happy with the design and quality of this.
Much appreciated!
Tidy bag holds a bigger laptop than advertised slim design. Wasn’t sure on the strength of the zips when bag arrived but holding up at the moment with daily use. The bag is a bag and does what it needs to, I don’t carry it long enough to fully comment on comfort but the short time I do hold it it’s OK and just that, ok! The zip lock at the top seems pointless to me but could be useful for someone travelling i guess. The inner compartments work fine and do what is required and the laptop is held securely (ish) strap over on to velcro my laptop is bigger than 15.6 if it was that size the laptop would have movement from the strap security as mine does now.
Overall if you want a bag to carry a laptop and a few items it is fine something more I don’t think it would be ideal.
Bought for my wife who likes the comfort, size, weight and value of the backpack. It’s comfortable to wear, suitable for under seat on flights, ideal size to keep everything you need together and safe for college and on public. I liked the value for money as it has plenty of features for the price. She was also happy with storage space, appearance, and quality. She also said, she liked the security feature.
Arrived quickly , haven’t used it yet as holiday isn’t for another couple months. Have opened it up and had a good look round it . Looks quite spacious and looks good quality material. A bit weary of the zips as they look quite flimsy but time will tell. Happy overall .
Pro – superbly priced, great functional, many compartments, excellent size bag. Front mini pocket – tissue/antibacterial spray, second large pocket – multiple compartments for pens, charger, glasses case, headphones , main largest section with Velcro strap section for laptop, pockets for bags and zipper pocket too plus zipper pocket for usb wire and a back pocket too.
Strong side pockets for liquid bottles.
Bonus of a number lock.
1 rucksack used by teenage son, 2nd rucksack used by self for work, grocery shopping and days out.
Con- none to speak off that is subjective
Great storage, holds everything you might need for hiking and short trips abroad.
The anti theft feature might not seem like a big deal but it gives you peace of mind which is a huge thing.
Great bag for travelling. Took it on my trip to America and it held up extremely well! Sad that there’s only a lock for the main part of the bag as I would’ve liked to place valuables in the other compartments but apart from that, 9/10 for the whole bag!
I love it. Does what it says it’s meant for an it’s strong, sturdy and good quality. I would advice the larger size for men (I’m 5.1″) and the medium size (which I bought for self (15.3)) for women. Just a suggestion cause for a large guy, the 17inch would be better. I have no complaints so far an love it.
I am a sucker for good bags. This one has just the right size for a book, notebook and a laptop. Plus enough space for essential cables, water bottle, spare battery and umbrella. Perfect. For 1 night I can even get my toiletries and overnight cloth in.
I have only used this once so far as hand luggage and only used to carry iPad ,books and meds etc.
Did not use the cabled attachment but may find useful in future.
On the whole very pleased with this purchase
I like the size and quality of the rucksack. It’s perfect for my needs. Only fault is the lock on it. It doesn’t work even after following instructions included (to the letter). Have tried the reset instructions also and doesn’t unlock.
Having been an exclusive user of messenger bags, I have swapped all my work kit into this bad. It’s small enough to be a pleasure to wear, yet big enough for my 15″ laptop with charger, notepad and other bits and pieces. It’s much more comfortable than a messenger bag (to me)
There are two main zip compartments, the main section holds the laptop (with a pocket and velcro strap), and space for extra bits like chargers, tablets, general kit. The front section is smaller, and you can put smaller items in here- pens, charging block, cables etc.
The material seems water resistant (not tried in the rain), but certainly better than the cloth I’ve been used to before. I’ll report back once I know.
There is a little port to plug in headphones and a USB cable from the outside, which can then be plugged into a music player, and also portable charger. I won’t use this function, but your mileage may vary – although both ends of the USB plug for charging are the USB-A which may not be that useful.
You can fit a drink bottle in a pocket on either side of the bag (very useful), and you can cinch the bag closed more tightly to compress it (again, very handy).
Finally, a nice touch- it has is a ‘loop’ for sunglasses on the left strap, which you can hang them off if you’re not using them
All in all, very impressed for 20
The main thing I liked about this product was the simple design and low cost, with a good set of internal pockets, and a basic but excellent design. The laptop protection is good if not spectacular, and the actual design is basically grey-man. It’s a bag, that holds things, and the waxy outer design has been really useful for protecting electronics from the rain.
I have walked in the rain a few times with this bag and everything from paper to electronics survived. Call that field-tested.
The loss of a single star comes from a few less-good design choices.
First, the lock is basically just not going to add much security to a bag – especially one made from a non-resistent material that you can easily pop open. It’s not much security and it hasn’t done much through the product life.
Second, the front zip pocket (diagonal, on the face of the bag) is far more shallow than I’d like. It’s serviceable, but it’s pretty much only going to fit a few small items. I could put my phone and wallet in, but probably nothing more, and even then it might be a stretch on the material/zipper.
Finally, the integral USB charger does nothing and uses a pretty low-quality cable. I wouldn’t want to risk damage to anything – including the bag. I will say that this is out-weighed by the little sunglasses hook on the arm straps that I’ve gotten a lot of use from!
Good product and really does land the basics, but some of the added features just don’t add much value, or they’re executed in a lacklustre way. Still love it, still a great value for money purchase, but not QUITE 5 stars. I’d give it 4.5 if it was possible.
I don’t know what it’s talking about with the water resistance feature but in terms of security – I’m scared to try them myself but have heard from other reviews that the lock either doesn’t work or is too complicated. You can fix it with a little padlock, though, so don’t worry if you don’t know how to work the locking mechanism.
I love the pockets in this bag. It helps me separate my water bottle from my hygiene products, electronics and clothes. The pockets really help to keep everything dry if there was an accident in my bag, so I’m grateful for that BUT it does not prevent the inside from soaking water and potentially damage your electronics so… yeah, the pockets can fit individual items but I’d still put them in some sort of case and then divide them using the pockets. What I was meant to say is that it’s great for organising your items.
Honestly, I don’t know how useful the side USB cover is other than convenience, I suppose. You need to connect it to another electronic product inside if you want to charge it through your bag so it’s a bit useless, basically. I usually use the inner back pocket to store my electronics, so that’s where you put a power bank, I guess. I think, anyway.
If you stuff something in the side pockets like an umbrella, it’s easy to hide the zip that opens the main compartment of the bag. I’m a bit fearful of the front pockets because anyone can easily access those and the locking mechanism only applies to the main compartment of the bag. Love the pockets but would not store anything valuable in there unless you’re with someone who is reliable to look out for you.
In terms of water resistance – it is but in terms of absorbing the liquid until it leaks rather than water running off the backpack. It can get damp which is worrying but not enough to harm anything delicate inside so get an umbrella or a bag cover. It probably would not take heavy rain or storms. Only rating it 1/5 from experience that the bag did get wet but the contents inside were dry with a slightly damp feeling in the inner lining. Also would strongly recommend packing your items accordingly since this bag is not sturdy or thick enough to protect your items from damage like forced, rigid pressure but it’s durable enough if you’re the type to be travelling all the time. So it has promising longevity but is not recommended for rough/energetic activities.
I personally don’t think it’s a bulky backpack. I think the pockets help the organisation of items and keep the bag relatively slim so since I take the train and walk all the time, it’s definitely space-saving and doesn’t catch on quite easily to random things like door handles, branches, or whatever. It may not be able to stretch or expand as easily as those school backpacks but it’s sleek design and suitable for professional attire.
I’d recommend storing delicate materials like paper in a folder, all electronics in a type of case, hygiene products and beauty products in a cosmetic bag (separately) etc. and use this bag and its little compartments and pockets for organising. Perfect for someone always travelling on public transport and probably suitable to bring into business meetings. Also great if you’re always staying somewhere else so you can stuff as many travel-sized items as you want with extra underwear and clothing.
I wanted a new bag to act as an every day carry and saw this on Amazons lightning deals so decide to order as it was at a good price. Arrived on time and was well packaged, packed very flat but pops into shape easily enough after taking out of the zip lock plastic bag it came in which means it was a frustration free unpacking experience.
Seems to be good quality and well made but I suppose time and usage will tell if it is robust. The bag does come with a warranty card attached so I imagine if there was a fault with the bag it could be returned or replaced.
The attached combination security lock which the two zippers of the main compartment clip into is a nice feature and although it wouldn’t stop someone busting it open to gain access, it does give peace of mind against theifs being able to dip into the main compartment. Their is no locks for the other compartments on the bag but I don’t find this a huge deal. The bag also includes instructions on how to set your own 3 digit combination for the above mentioned lock.
The bag has one main compartment with locking zip mechanism and has a laptop pocket to hold a laptop appropriately 10 inches wide, it has a velcro strap to hold the laptop secure as well as another large pocket and a smaller pocket with a zip. This main compartment also houses the opening for the USB (2.0 I think) and headphone extention connections (3.5mm jack, both of which are supplied). This means that if you have an external power bank (not included) you can plug this into the internal USB conector and then attatch your phone via its standard charging wire to the external part of the USB plug on the outside of the bag to charge your phone whilst using it on the move. The hub also works the same way with the 3.5mm connection only you would connect an MP3 or such on the inside of the bag and have your headphones connected to the outside part.
The second largest compartment has pouches for pens and thinner items as well as things like a notepad or book.
There is a small zip compartment at the very front of the bag and a hidden zip compartment at the base of the back of the bag for valubles like your wallet etc, and two side pouches with securing staps, ideal for water bottles.
The straps of the bag have features as well ! one has a netted pouch which looks about the right size to hold credit card size items, although I personally wouldn’t store my cards there (maybe ideal for holding a pack of chewing gum or a folded up face mask ?) and the other stap has a loop to hang your glasses/sunglasses from when not in use.
I havent had a chance to test the water proof/resistent ability of the bag yet but just by the feel of the bag material Im guessing its not waterproof and would probably resist a light shower at best.
The bags straps are adjustable and sit comfotable on my sholders and there is an included stap which stretches the width of the rear of the bag for attaching to the handel of larger luggage, although again I have not tested this feature out fully as of yet. The bag includes a hanging loop at the top of the bag.
I ordered my bag in black and I think the bag looks stylish and minimalistic with only the company name lable sewn onto the front of the bag which I personaly like.
All in all a very good value bag with plenty of features for the price ! Reccomended.
I bought the WENIG Laptop Backpack for one of my teenage daughters,
I did NOT buy it because I was looking for a laptop bag or a bag that’s lockable with a code,.
I bought it FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:
I was looking for a bag
1) that’s fairly durable and tough and will not break easily,
2) that has lots of padding around the back of the bag to make carrying the bag on ones’s back comfortable
3) that is fairly waterproof so the contents of the bag do not get soaking wet
4) that’s well-designed and does NOT feel too bulky or heavy to carry around (as far as multi-purpose backpacks go – around 750g
5) that’s fairly spacious and flexible in what can be carried inside it.
My daughter is REALLY PLEASED with the bag, and so am I!
Having said that, neither my daughter nor I were keen on using the Combination Lock that came with the backpack to securely lock it. This is because we did not want to risk being locked out of the bag, as we had had experience of being locked out of Combination Lock Bags in the past. Also from Amazon Reviews, some people seemed to have been locked out of the backpack.
My daughter and I love the Backpack as it meets all our requirements (i.e.” ticks all the boxes “) and seems to be reasonably priced.
My daughter and I will definitely RECOMMEND THE BACKPACK, but would be a bit wary of using the Backpack’s Number Security Lock owing to our bad experience of Number Combination Locks in the past. It does come with instructions on HOW TO USE OR SET TYE COMBINATION LOCK THOUGH!
I hope you find MY REVIEW HELPFUL.

I Have now bought this backpack twice now yeah I know within 6 months which I’ll later on get to. To start off my first purchase of this was back in the 3rd of September 2019 and from my previous backpack it felt like a huge upgrade in terms of features, The product comes with a lock installed onto it so you can create your own custom 3 digit lock for the largest zip, it also has a USB A in where if you have a power bank can put it inside your back through the USB port out then use your phone charging cable or whatever device that supports it and connect it to the outside of the back so when your travelling you and say your low on charge and need to use it for whatsoever reason such as Maps then you can use it while its also charging or also theoretically this should be possible instead of using a power bank you can use your laptop and follow the same procedure and it should work although I haven’t tried it before. As well as this a 3.5 mm Jack Extension Cable Lead Stereo Plug to Socket AUX is also there, so you can put you phone for instance inside your backpack and connect it to the included 3.5 mm headphone jack (If you have one, if not use an Adaptor not included) then you can get your wired earphones or headphones and plug it into the outside Aux of the Backpack and your good to go and can listen to the news or something while on the go, and if you think someone can try to take your phone while it’s in your backpack then think again, you can lock it to your custom 3 digits, so even if you have it on your shoulder and there is a lock on it and someone is trying to open it you will obviously know because you can feel it. There is a small storage zip on the back of the bag to put maybe your passport or some sort of small work also plenty of Zip components in the bag, If I go through all of them I would be here all day so you can check the item description where it should state it.
The Material of the Item feels very nice there is Adjustable straps to your preference and the they aren’t too thick which I don’t prefer but a good length. Furthermore, the strap has a slot where you can put a pen or your sunglasses while travelling, and on the other strap a small compartment for maybe putting a pack of Gum or something in.
Like any product out here in this world it isn’t perfect, you can go spend 10,000 on a Rolex but it would still have it’s own problems likewise this bag.
If your going to be a heavy user with this bag like me then a couple months in and your using the lock quite often, you’ll notice that the zip hook starts to loose it’s black colour of when the lock side it goes in and on top of that the zip lock is bendy now but it can still be put back to shape so not a big deal after all it is being used for its rightful purpose.
Ok, this is why I purchased another bag half a year later (6 months literally), like I stated earlier this bag suited all my means from aesthetics to purpose but because I used this bag so very heavily and I had a lot of books and things inside which made it very heavy, as a result of this the strap started to tear but this may have only be me because the amount of use it went through was a lot after the rip I didn’t buy it again until a few weeks later and it was still going through the same use but the strap didn’t come off, so the stitching is definitely strong also the hook, I used that to hand quite a bit, so one of the ends came off making it useless but again my bag was really heavy so I do recommend you don’t take things that will pressurise the bag too much.
Finally, I can recommend this product especially those into Tech like wise myself, if you do have a problem with the product and it is within a certain period, contact Amazon or the seller and they may be able to replace it for you and if not a refund. You can’t go wrong with the price here, if I am not mistaken they dropped it down to 16.98 (at the time of Purchase).
Anyways, I hope this review benefits some of you that are considering to buy this, it is a great option and awesome buy. 🙂
As someone who is always travelling around with way too much stuff I was looking for a backpack which made finding and storing things a little easier. I was looking at this one and a bigger one and when this dropped in price I took the plunge.
First, the lock… it’s pretty bad but it’s not something I would have used anyway. If I want to lock my backpack I’d use a proper luggage lock anyway so it wasn’t a feature I was looking at using. But if you are looking at using the built in lock then avoid. I managed to set it to a number but it wasn’t the number I wanted. More the number it decided and kind of stuck itself too. Also using this lock leaves a small gap between the zip at the top. Not a gap big enough to put your hand in but big enough to make the water resistance feature meaningless. If you used the lock during rain don’t be surprised if things get wet.
The rest of the bag, however, is very good. There are loads of compartments and it fits my Acer F5-571 (15.7″) laptop comfortably. The padding inside isn’t great but I wouldn’t have expected it to be on a smaller bag. I very quickly managed to compartmentalise my life into the bag. The hidden pocket which goes against your back when carrying it is a very useful addition. I know a lot of bags do this now but a lot don’t. It’s well worth having one that does. It’s just extra piece of mind.
All the stitching is good and it feels robust enough. The straps are an absolute joy. Thick, padded and they feel nice on the shoulders. Water resistance seems good but I have to be honest I haven’t taken it out in awful weather yet.
So yeah, it’s not perfect but at this price would you expect it to be? It’s very good, comfortable and does the job. Just avoid that lock.
This backpack is perfect for committing using public transport or for walking in the street when there’s a chance of your bag being opened by an unwanted person.
Let’s get this straight, this is not a theft proof bag. It can still be cut open with a blade and the zip can still be popped by anyone who really wants to get your things.
What this is, is a bag which will deter oportunist thieves and will protect your things in an environment like work, school or at home where you’re not surrounded by criminals (hopefully). Just nosey people who’d like to have a look in your bag.
The features of the bag start off quite traditionally in that there is a large main pocket and a smaller front pocket. There are 2 straps to use the bag as a rucksack and a loop for hanging it up.
The bag then adds a multitude of brilliant features not available on a lot of other rucksacks.
1. A strap for securing the rucksack onto the handle of a suitcase.
2. A small sideways pocket on the very front. Ideal for keeping your passport / tickets in for quick and easy access
3. A USB on the outside of the bag for charging your phone on the go. Inside the bag there is an extension cable to attach to your power bank (not included).
4. A 3.5mm headphone Jack should you wish to keep your phone inside the bag but still connect headphones and listen to the music.
5. A combination lock on the top of the bag to secure the main compartment. It’s extremely easy to set your own combination so it’s easy to remember.
There are plenty of other features too such as a sun glasses holder, a card holder, water bottle holder, a padded area for your laptop in the main area to my name a few
The bag appears to be really well made and feels really good quality. For me the way to identify a cheap or poor quality backpack is to look at the straps. This backpack does not fall under that category!!! The straps are padded and the underneath is mesh which helps keep them breathable and helps prevent sweating. There is also attention to detail on the straps too such as the loop for your sunglasses and a card holder for a quick access card such as a railcard.
There are no ribs nor a back plate in this bag to stiffen it up which personally I prefer as it means I can fold / roll it up when needed.
