We’ve used this a few times now, both in the newborn mode and also the full size travel cot mode. Baby slept very comfortably, the same as he would at home. It really is as easy as it claims to put up!
The product is not portable in my opinion it’s way too big and heavy.
It’s beautifully made it really is but don’t think you will be quickly moving it regularly it’s huge! You really will need a big space for it so watch out for those measurements!
It really does take a minute to put up once you know how. Simple design. Suitable beyond 6 months which I find a much better investment then a moses basket. We do have an actual cot though also. We travel to Europe frequently, it folds back into a rectangular package with handles which we can see can easily be checked in as luggage. Very happy. It’s quite big but again it’s suitable until they are a few years old so we were happy to invest that money so if you have the space and money, I’d go for it.
With a large family and young grandchild, nieces and nephews, I had often thought about purchasing a travel cot for use by any of them when they visit, so when I spotted this one available via the Vine Program, I jumped at the chance to order it and try it out with my next visitors. I am so glad I did as it is a seriously fantastic product and does everything I could have hoped for and more.
It arrives in a cardboard box for protection and upon opening the travel cot is inside its carry/storage bag and then wrapped inside a clear plastic bag. It is immediately evident that this is a top quality, high end product.
The travel cot is very simple to assemble and has two methods of putting it up, the first is with the extra attachment on the top of the cot which makes it into a bassinet or newborn bed, this uses only half of the matting (which unzips down the middle to use) and is only a short depth from the top of the cot itself making it ideal for new mums to reach their baby easily as their is no unnecessary bending involved. This can be used in this position until baby can either sit up or pull itself up and is a fabulous addition to the product itself as it makes it suitable from birth upwards.
The second method involves using the whole matting area as the base and this makes it an effective cot or play pen for all children up to the age of around 3 and a half. It is very simple to use and very safe.
The cot can be easily collapsed with one hand and it folds up simply and easily, then the matting secures around the outside making it them simple to slot into it storage bag and makes it very easy to take travelling with you, or on days out, visits to relatives etc. I have already had a number of babies use it in my home from tinies through to toddlers and both myself and the children’s various parents are all in agreement that it is a fabulous product and the best travel cot any of us have ever used.
Overall I can find no fault with anything and the comprehensive instructions supplied help to understand all of its functions. It is a firm 5 star product and I am happy to very highly recommend it to anyone, I cannot imagine anyone could possibly be disappointed with this product as it’s so superior to any other travel cot I have encountered over the years.
I hope that this review has been helpful to you in deciding whether this is the right product for you.
Having an 8-month old daughter who is just about to stand on her own two legs and start exploring the world, we found this travel cot to be almost a God send!
It’s incredibly light, compact when folded and very, very sturdy! It literally folds with one arm (see video) and its assembly is quite quick and straightforward.
Its sides have protective nets that the child can see through and the height is great! It has a detachable bit that can turn it into a bed, which we haven’t used, but it’s very easy to put together!
The one thing I’d say is the base of the cot might have been a little more padded. I’m not a child myself to be sitting on it, but I’d like it to have a bit more stuffing, so to speak!
This is a premium travel cot at a premium price and I think if you go away a lot of have a holiday home and will get the use out if it for 180 (as of July 2021) this is a solid investment, if you only intend to use it a few times maybe a cheaper option would be better.
We have a cheaper travel cot to compare to and it is night and day, this cot is so much better quality. It is so easy to put up, you just open out and it pops up, everything is also sturdy and well put together, it feels like it will stand up to a lot of repeated use and wear and tear.
Once you have finished you just pull it back closed, the mattress fits round it and it folds up neatly in it’s little bad. I do have to say it is quite light as well, something that anyone can pick up and put in the car.
The mattress in is hard on one side but on the other has some really nice padding to make it comfy and feel like a real mattress.
The stitching is all nicely done with no loose threads or any issues and I really like the wooden effect on the leg struts, it just makes the cot look good.
Once put up the cot curves in at the top to stop the little one trying to get out and it is really well padded at the top, it feels nice and secure but the mesh at the sides also gives a window to the world for the baby/toddler and a view in for parents.
I love the fact that the two positions enable it to be used from baby to toddler.
Our daughter is not keen on travel cots but she didn’t mind being in this, she was happy to play in it as well with some toys, I think because it is so comfy and comforting she didn’t feel as trapped or isolated.
I would say this can also be used as a playpen it is strong enough and this could be where more use comes in and the extra cost is justified as I say our daughter seemed to really enjoy being in it.
The downside, well the price, it’s expensive when you can get travel cots a lot cheaper and I think the value of it will be how much you use it, if you are going to use it a lot for a good few years this is a very worthwhile purchase it would last multiple children, however if you only want someone to use once a year on holiday maybe it’s not a good purchase.
An amazing little travel cot, it’s so nice and well put together and thought out you can’t help but like it.
