It’s more of the same so if you like the original Meg film then I’m sure you will like this. The story expands on the original film and is just as entertaining. Jason Statham is great as usual in these types of films and the rest of the cast are good as well. Very entertaining overall and comes highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAfter hearing this had been slated I was not expecting much but woah does this deliver. Anyone expecting a serious post-Jaws shark movie will be disappointed (and maybe hasn’t seen Meg 1) because this time they decided to make a Jason Statham film, well actually a JASON STATHAM FILM where he’s more awesome than the shark. So Stathe gets to do the ultimate things that an 80s style action hero would do which is ridiculous action and stunts, corny one liners, impossible feats with some shots framed to make him seem like a god of action heroism. It starts how you would expect a Meg sequel to go but soon veers off into underwater escape thriller, then with Die Hard elements thrown in, then some Jurassic Park and it just keeps layering on incident after incident after escape after monster battle to the point where I was laughing my rear in off in sheer joy. It’s over the top and (with its tongue firmly in its cheek) it knows it too. I hope word of mouth overcomes the critical reception because I could do with more like this, films that just set out to entertain in the most over the top way possible with no other noticeable agenda. Well done Ben Wheatley for being a total movie geek and giving Stathe fans the best dose of Stathe we’ve had in years.

I liked this and it’s good with good visuals and if you haven’t seen the MEG I would recommend watching the first one to get the back story but I would say that the MEG is more exciting and suspenseful than this one but for a popcorn night in it’s ok but personally i would watch them in order.

I’m a Jason Statham fan and I enjoyed the first meg, so not surprising I also enjoyed this one. Better storyline than the first. Any statham fan or jurassic Park fan should enjoy this as it’s a crazy unbelievable ride where the past meets the present. But totally enjoyable.

I enjoyed looking at this film, but it’s a bit slap stick in some areas? Too much comedy not enough suspense like the first film. Rarely does a second film in a franchise turn out as good as the first film. This one is the same?

Delivered in the likely time as indicated, didnt get round to viewing at cinema so waited until release, better than the critics hype who pick holes in movie, in any case didn’t deter me from buying,a thrill ride supersize than 2018 first one, reaches greater heights and depths in this many ways, daring research team dives uncharted waters on a exploratory mission only to find voyage spirals into chaos when malovelent mining operation threatens their task, forces into High stakes battle pitted against colossus sharks, therefore must outsmart and outwit swim, effects little uneven, tiresome plot its of course cheese, cast more or less same, slow to pick up then flows
