This windscreen cover is very thin and lightweight, coming with a storage bag that means it can be kept in the glove compartment when not in use. Having used it during the recent cold snap we found that water managed to get behind it and froze, however, it was much easier to remove and defrost than it would ordinarily be without it. Made removing snow very much easier.
This car windscreen cover with magnets and side wing mirror covers is a winter essential. The magnetic fit is secure, and the durable material shields against frost and snow. Easy to install, it’s a time-saver on chilly mornings. The added bonus of side mirror covers is a thoughtful touch. Compact storage and overall, a reliable solution for winter protection. Highly recommended.
I find this really good value for money.
It’s very easy to fit onto your car and most importantly, it seems secure because you can fit it over your side mirrors. You can still tie it inside as well and there are magnets on the side. This is essential for me as I live close to an open field, so if it gets windy, it is very windy.
Also looks nicer and more fitted than ones I have had before which just look abit flappy and messy.
I have used this to stop the car getting too hot but now, coming up to winter I’m sure I will get more use out of it to stop my windscreen frosting up.
It doesn’t fold tiny but small enough to store in your boot, so very handy.
Bought in advance of the winter weather but opened the packaging as soon as it arrived. Seems pretty robust and I’m sure it will work well. Decent value for money and far better than the many cheaper options available.
Effective Snow and Ice Protection: The primary reason for purchasing this cover was to shield my car’s windscreen from the winter elements, and it does an excellent job. It effectively protects against snow and ice accumulation, saving me precious time in the morning.
Secure Fit with Hidden Magnets: The 9 hidden magnets ensure a secure fit on the windscreen, preventing the cover from blowing away in strong winds. This feature is a game-changer and gives me confidence that my car is well-protected throughout the night.
Side Wing Mirror Covers: The inclusion of side wing mirror covers is a thoughtful touch. It provides comprehensive coverage and ensures that all critical areas of the car are protected from frost and snow. It’s a small detail that adds to the overall effectiveness of the cover.
Universal Fit: The cover boasts a universal fit, making it suitable for various car models. It fits my car snugly, and the adjustable straps make it easy to customize the fit for different vehicles. This versatility is a significant plus.
Easy to Install and Remove: Putting on and taking off the cover is a straightforward process. The adjustable straps and magnets make installation a breeze, and it takes just a few minutes to secure the entire windscreen. Removing it is equally quick and hassle-free.
Compact Storage Bag: I appreciate the inclusion of a compact storage bag. It allows me to neatly fold the cover and store it in the trunk without taking up much space. The storage bag is a practical addition for on-the-go protection during unexpected snowfall.
Material Quality: The material quality is decent, providing durability for regular use. However, I noticed that it might not withstand extremely harsh conditions over an extended period. It’s essential to handle it with care to ensure longevity.
Overall, the Car Windscreen Cover with 9 Hidden Magnets is a winter essential that has simplified my mornings during cold weather. While the material could be more robust, the features like hidden magnets, side wing mirror covers, and universal fit make it a reliable choice for snow and ice protection.
The Mengine Car Windscreen Cover is an excellent addition to your winter car care arsenal. It excels at keeping your windscreen frost-free, saving you precious time on those chilly mornings.
I particularly liked the inclusion of magnets. They do an admirable job of securing the cover in place, so you don’t have to worry about it slipping off during the night. This means it’s a quick and hassle-free process to put it on and take it off your windscreen.
My only small quibble with this otherwise great product is storage. It would be wonderful if the manufacturer included a convenient storage bag. This would make it easier to keep the cover neatly stored when not in use.
I’m too short to scrape my windows on my SUV so needed a different approach.
I’ve tried other covers but couldn’t get them to stay in place. With this having mirror shaped pockets to hold it in place along with magnets to. This quilted fabric will be much more durable than previous covers I’ve tried.
I’m sure this is going to be the last Windscreen cover I will need to purchase as it’s so easy to attach and appears to look really robust too.
I find it hard to believe that this is currently being sold for just 12.12
I would have expected it to cost more than that and it really is a snip at that price.
* The size is great. I have a Vauxhall Insignia and it covers my windscreen very easily, so I wouldn’t imagine there being an issue with many road vehicles, if any at all.
* The materials used for this windscreen cover mean that it will not only be suitable for keeping the ice at bay during the winter months, but it will also help to keep the car interior cool during the summer months.
* The cover is thick enough to provide adequate insulation, but not so dense that it becomes awkward to fold up and stow away when not in use, which is ideal.
* The inclusion of some small, circular magnets around the edges of the cover are a nice idea in theory, but the magnetism is nowhere near strong enough to have any real effect and so they are essentially just small weights. This is the one thing that slightly lets this product down, but it certainly isn’t a deal breaker.
* Although it would have been nice if the magnets had been more effective, the fact that the cover has wing flaps on each side that are designed to tuck inside the front doors means that the cover isn’t simply going to blow away in the wind.
* Aside from that, the fact that it also has additional pockets on either side that slide over the wing mirrors means that it has even less chance of blowing away, while protecting your mirrors from frosting over at the same time.
Overall, this is a genuine bargain at the price and easy to recommend.

As someone who has used this product, I wanted to share my personal review, including its pros and cons.
Pros:
Easy Installation: The cover is designed to fit most car windshields effortlessly. It takes just a few minutes to secure it in place, thanks to the hidden magnets and the adjustable straps that ensure a snug fit.
Full Coverage: The cover not only protects the windshield but also comes with side wing mirror covers. This extra feature saves time and effort as I no longer need to scrape ice or brush off snow from the side mirrors separately.
All-Weather Performance: Regardless of the weather conditions, this windshield cover has proven to be extremely durable and reliable. It effectively shields the windshield from snow, ice, and harmful UV rays, which has helped me save time in the mornings and protect my car from potential damage.
Convenient Storage: The cover conveniently folds into a compact size, making it easy to store in the trunk or the backseat of my car. Its lightweight design adds to the overall convenience.
Cons:
Limited Size Options: While the cover fits most standard car windshields, it may not be suitable for larger or uniquely shaped windshields. It would be beneficial if the product offered more size options to cater to a wider range of vehicles.
Magnet Strength: Although the hidden magnets help secure the cover in place, they could be slightly stronger. In strong winds or during heavy rain, the cover may shift slightly, requiring occasional readjustment.
Overall, the car windscreen cover is a practical and efficient solution for protecting your car’s windshield. With its easy installation, full coverage, and all-weather performance, it has been a valuable addition to my routine. Despite a few minor drawbacks, I highly recommend this product for its functionality and convenience.
Great product fits car really well like the wing mirror covers that should hopefully help keep it in place better if it is windy magnets keep it attached to the car too
This is a great windscreen cover that will be very useful in the winter and as I haven’t got a heated windscreen will hopefully save me valuable time wasted on having to scrape ice from my windscreen it is a great fit for a Vauxhall Astra size car and has elasticated wing mirror covers attached either side as well as two flaps to secure inside the doors and added magnets 9 in total at the top and bottom to attach to the surrounding edges to keep it securely in place it isn’t overly thick but is insulated so will hopefully be good for keeping the sun out also in the summer seasons it is lightweight and can easily be folded up and put away for storage when not in use will definitely be a blessing on cold frosty mornings will update review in spring good value for decent screen cove
It was easy to fit on a Volvo XC60 windshield/windscreen, with the door mirror pockets seating nicely whether mirrors retracted or extended. None of our other frost/snow covers have similar pockets for the mirrors. The flaps fit inside the doors to get trapped and help to hold it in place but we could only find two small magnets on the roof section and they were too weak and lifted in gentle breeze. It would have been good to have a valise for storage. Otherwise, a nice and useful product.
I’ve been using this windscreen cover for a couple of weeks to keep the leaves off my car, they often leave marks and residues which takes lots of screen wash and wiping to remove. I’m looking forward to using it when the weather gets frosty and who knows, maybe even snowy!
This cover is very easy to apply, it has a large flap that fits inside the front door when it’s closed. A pocket that goes over the door mirror to protect them and 9 magnets inside the cover top and bottom that stick the upper and lower edge to the roof and bonnet. All of this works really well and keeps it in place even in gusty winds.
I order the small size as I have a small SUV and it fits as expected.
The silvered side of the cover goes to the outside and can be used to reflect the sun in summer to keep the car cool, it also allows leaves and presumably snow to slip off quickly when the cover is removed. The under side of the cover is softer to protect paintwork and glass from scratches. The magnets are inside the cover so that they don’t scratch too. I like the hi-vis flashing on the wing mirror pockets too as this make traffic aware that they are sticking out.
Verdict: Good piece of winter motoring equipment that reduces the need to scrape or clean windscreens. Gets you off to a flying start on cold winter mornings. Definitely worth the 13 price tag.
This fits my 4 series BMW including the wing mirrors. It’s more about leaves than snow at the moment. I am not totally convinced about magnet attachment if there is a heavy wind. Might end up tucking wing mirrors covers in shut door to hold it secure.
Material isn’t that thick but it’s ok.
Fitted in the first week of October, so we’ve had no bad weather yet (NE England) that the windscreen cover can be tested against.
The smaller-sized windscreen cover fits our Kia Rio (small car) well. With putting on and taking off achieved by one person easily. Having the magnets inside the cover is a good feature, which will help protect the car’s paint job. The pockets that fit over the wing mirrors, along with the side flaps you close the car doors upon, should help secure the cover in moderate to high winds.
The only, potential, issue that we foresee is that the magnets aren’t the strongest. So we’re not too sure they’ll work in very high, or gale force winds. But then, if such weather can blow down fences or uproot trees, you can’t really complain should it blow a windscreen protector cover off a car.
So far, we’re optimistic that this product will do the job as advertised. Should it not, then this review will be amended.
Update 2024: We’ve used this cover on the (pictured) car over November and December – during those really bad storms that hit the UK and Ireland – and the cover protected the car perfectly through all the heavy rain and snow that hit us. Definitely have to say that this is a great bit of kit.
For those without a quick clear front windscreen I would have said that a product such as this is essential.
It is no fun on a cold winters morning to be stood scraping away at a frozen windscreen. Also, it isn’t necessary.
Although I have yet to try this product on a cold winters morning I see no reason why it will not perform as well as other covers I have used and keep the screen ice free. That this product also has handy pouches for your door mirrors is an added bonus and will keep them frost free too.
This product is mostly well made and reasonably thin and light. I know others have commented on the strength of the magnets but this cover, like all the other covers I have used, is fixed to the screen by tabs of material that you trap in the seals of your driver and passenger doors. I would have thought the edge magnets are there to stop the edges flapping around, but the product page does seem to suggest that they aid in the whole thing staying in place…
It is autumn now so I haven’t had a chance to try the cover on a very hot, sunny day. This one is reflective (as are others that I have tried) and I would expect it to perform similarly.
The only negatives are that the strips that you trap in the doors could be longer and I found that the stitching on the reflective strips on the door mirror pouches was slightly ‘unfinished’.
My car does have a quick clear windscreen, I will be using this product when things get colder plus have it handy for next summer.
We live in a remote area and rely on our car all year round. Every winter we struggle to keep our windscreen clear, we tried the thin foil cover last year but that was very flimsy. This cover is very well made and well designed, it is thicker than any windscreen cover I have seen before and it has wing mirror covers too, first time I have seen that. The mirror covers aren’t as thick as the screen cover. It is very quick and easy to use, there are magnets top and bottom to hold it in place plus there are two bits to trap in your front doors which will be needed when it is windy as the magnets aren’t super strong. The magnets are encased in the cover, so they won’t scratch paintwork, they hold the cover on securely. We get very strong winds here in the winter, I will update this review if the cover doesn’t stand up to the weather later in the year.
Has magnets on the top and bottom which keeps it attached to your car and won’t flap around in the wind. Covers to over the side morrow with reflective parts in for better visibility at night. Love this keeps ice and show off your window
This product is a good size to fit a larger windscreen, I like the wing mirror pockets which will hopefully help the cover stay on. I find the description “ultra-thick material” very misleading however as the item is actually very thin.
I got this car windscreen cover in readiness for the upcoming winter months. Cleaning the frost from the car windscreen every morning before the school run is quite tedious and time consuming. My neighbour has got a similar product for their car and I have seen how much easier it is for them with the cover so I was really very pleased when I got this. The cover fits my car very well. I used it when it was raining and was windy too. The cover stayed put in the windy weather. The fabric thick enough to do the job. Not sure how it will fare during the peak winter months but am hoping that it will save me time and energy from cleaning ice and frost off my car. Love the fact that this cover can be used in all seasons to protect the car windscreen.
Before buying please do make sure that you get a cover which fits your car perfectly.
Hope you find this review helpful.
It’s coming on that time of year again, where it’s going to be a lot colder and windscreens frostier and that inevitable leaving the house five minutes earlier to defrost it! This is a great solution if you leave the car outside. It’s actually too big for little cars but for a medium family sized car it’s ideal. Quality wise it feels like it might last a winter or two, but it is still fab and easy to put up! Looks great too, we’ve not had a frosty morning yet but it’s bound to avoid that early morning panic! Can’t wait to properly use it.
