I do wish i could buy more 1/4-20 mounts without having to buy all 3 mount types. That’s a pain. i have paid for 4 complete sets of these just to get the 1/4-20 mounts. Not cool!
I hope Neewer keeps backward compatibility in mind if there is an upgrade in the future.
Arrivati in una scatola con sagomatura specifica per ogni pezzo e ben protetti. Come nelle foto sono presenti tre tipologie di attacchi (casco, selfie stick e morsetto action) e si riesce a coprire gran parte degli usi possibili. La costruzione e la funzionalit decisamente alta sono costruiti in parte in metallo e in parte in plastica nera matte di eccellente qualit. I magneti fanno un ottima presa e il blocco meccanico una garanzia. Vero che costano un po’ in pi rispetto ad altre soluzioni ma secondo me ne vale la pena.
Nb: per chi utilizza action cam a 360 gradi attenzione come le posizionate (il tastino rosso di metallo per lo sblocco essendo leggermente sporgente potrebbe non scomparire con il selfi stick)
I’ve been using this tripod mount adapter set for my action camera for several weeks now, and it’s significantly improved my photography experience. The magnetic attachment is robust, giving me confidence during dynamic shoots. The quick release function is a standout feature, allowing me to switch between shots swiftly. Its compatibility with various mounts has expanded my creative possibilities, from using it on bike rides to capturing stable time-lapses. The compact size is a bonus, easily fitting into my gear bag without adding bulk. This adapter set has been a reliable tool in my photography kit, handling intense activities with ease and providing a secure attachment every time.
I use my GoPro with a few different types of mounting system, handheld stub tripod, big free standing tripod and chest mount. Switching between them is always a headache as the thumb screw pin removal takes time and I have lost many nice action because I was busy remounting the camera.
With these quick release it takes seconds to remount, I can do it now with just one hand. For most of the time I don’t even use twist lock red button as it is magnetic mount, the top plate get sucked into the slot firmly, for highly active action video with risk of camera tugging or over cliff and waters I twist lock the mount so zero chance of lost camera or footage.
It does add about 1-2 inch of height to the mounting system but it is well worth it.
This is an excellent bit of kit that I can use with my action cameras whatever the activity.
The mount adapter set arrived in a simple small cardboard box. Both the colour (Black with Red buttons) and material looked and felt of quality, NOT cheap fragile plastic.
I particularly liked that the Quick Release mounts and Bases do NOT solely rely on the magnet but use a bayonet style feature to lock firmly in place with a 90 degree turn.
At this moment my usage case is:
— One base fixed on my tripod,
— One base fixed on my bike’s handlebar and
— One base fixed on the chest harness plate
Hence, with the above set up I can use the same action camera fitted with a Quick Release mount and transfer to the other bases for different set up scenarios without delay.
I can get on my bike with the camera mounted to a venue then capture some shots with the camera on my tripod AND also take part in the action with the camera fixed to my chest harness.
Mount, twist and click and you’re all set to go!
I know Neewer from their camera filters and it appears they are aggressively targeting the wider photography industry.
With the vouchers this adapter set is definitely worth the investment for any action cinematography enthusiasts.
These mounts are actually very sturdy and they are made of metal which gives them more sturdiness also the magnet is quite powerfull which alongside the screw it makes for a tight mount.
Neewer has a new solution to a common headache for users of action cameras or mobile lighting that need quick versatility.
In each kit you receive three action cam mounts that can be moved interchangeably between three different types of connecting posts.
The mounts each have a strong magnet in their base that snaps into the posts with ease. If you were using these in a controlled environment, you wouldn’t have to lock them into place because the magnet is that strong. Once seated in the post, a quart turn twist will cause the lock to engage with an audible click. To unlock, you simply slide the red lever down, twist the mount back a quarter turn and lift it off the post.
The three types of posts supplied are the three main types used to secure action cameras and accessories, so for me one kit is all I need for my video recording purposes. I can freely move an action camera from a tradition jaw clamp to a light stand to a helmet clip in mere seconds due to not having to unscrew the camera from the mount each time I want to swap posts.
I’ve never seen a system this smooth with action camera mounts, so I think this is a very innovative move by Neewer to offer this product. The plastic feels sturdy, so I foresee it to last a long time even with heavy usage.
This is now an essential part of my professional video kit and will soon be a part of my employees’ kits as well.
These are good quality, well-designed quick-release adapters that can be useful in some circumstances.
For me, the set will come in handy sometimes. For example. Attaching an action camera to my ebike. I can screw in the tripod 1/4 inch standard mount to the clamp I have permanently mounted on my handlebars, but I still have to attach the action camera to the magnetic base. Granted, once attached, I can use the quick release, to take it off and put it back on again conveniently throughout a stop-start riding session.
In my case, a stop-start ride consists of needing to take the camera off the ebike and quickly attach it to a selfie stick for a walkabout. This system accommodates that with ease.
Bearing in mind that the magnetic base needs to be screwed into the action camera. I personally would not risk leaving it attached while the action camera is packed into a camera bag without the second part of the magnetic release system in place as the magnet could jeopardize other sensitive pieces of equipment in the bag.
So while it does exactly what it is described to do, I feel its usage is slightly limited by the magnetic base itself needing to be detached from the camera in between sessions. Apart from that it’s a very nice system to have.

The quality feels very premium on all the adapters.

Whilst it’s easy enough to attach and detach the adapters, it’s actually very secure due to the strong magnet and twist’n lock system.

There’s no negatives that have stood out during my use.
I use this with a mini tripod I carry in a pocket. The tripod legs have the Fe side the head had the Ma side. I can quicky snap the head on the legs as needed. I use another with head and the camera. This way I can snap the camera to the legs or to the head.
