This is a great product for the winter months! Warms up very quickly and last a long time from one charge, also works as a power bank too! Great product and great value for money too!
Would highly recommended
This was a Christmas present for an elderly man, who still likes to go to football matches, but suffers with very cold hands, despite gloves. He loves this hand warmer, it had it’s first outing yesterday, Boxing Day. The heat output was remarkable and has 3 settings, so can tailor it to your own requirements. Very stylish and well made product. Love it. Cannot comment on the battery life as it is still very new.
These didn’t take too long to charge. Great that you can charge them both together. You can either use them in your gloves or keep them in your pockets to warm your hands when needed.
These are great, I have Rhynards and I have a few of these,i carry them in my coat pockets so i can always use them, hold them , stick them inside my gloves or in my pocket thats like a mini hot water bottle! They do get very hot I bought one for my daughter and grandaughter so they can warm their hands while sorting their horses they get cold too they love them
I suffer with raynauds and this has really helps during the winter. The battery life isn’t as long as advertised however i only really use it to and from work.
It heats up quickly and provides plenty of warmth for cold hands.
The three settings don’t seem much different from each other, but as I always use mine on the maximum setting it’s not really an issue.
I have had mine for over 3 years and it still works as well as it did when new. On the rare occasion when I have used it as a power bank it has worked fine.
My only issue is that when I want to use it, more often than not, someone in my house has already nabbed it before me!
So I have just ordered another one. This time I thought I would try the eco model which supports single-sided heating to make the battery last longer.
This review is only for the original hand warmer, but I will also publish a review for the new one soon.
Bought this to use at work as the heating had died in the office temporarily. It was on sale at the time for a good price – although it’s a great little warmer I’d be hesitant to pay the normal full price for it.
It has three heat settings and comes in a little pouch to carry it in. You can see how much battery it has left by holding the power button down for a few seconds once it’s on, and the LEDs will change to blue. I’m not sure how long it takes to charge to full as I just plug it into my PC while I don’t need it and leave it to do it’s thing. The battery seems to last quite a long time at the lowest heat.
I personally find that the lowest heat setting is more than enough as at times it gets too hot to easily touch with bare hands even on that setting. I like to keep it in my hoody pouch-pocket when I’m at home where it also doubles as a tiny personal heater. I can just slip my hands into my pocket when they get too cold while using my mouse and warm them back up. I’ve also found it’s good for helping indirectly soften up my polymer clay when I want to work with that, making it easier on my fingers.
Although it fits in your hand it’s a little bulky so you can’t do anything else with your hands while you hold it. It’s good for having on in your pocket when scraping your car on an icy morning and just slipping your hands in there now and then to warm them back up when needed. I might consider buying another if it goes on sale again to have one for each pocket!
The first rechargeable hand warmer I’ve bought and I’m impressed. It does get really quite warm on setting one on the top and bottom. The sides not so much, so if you put it in a mitten you do need to jiggle it around to get edge of fingers warm enough to ward of Reynards. That said, it isn’t really a problem.
Battery life seems what I expected at around 3 hours on minimum (which is hot enough in UK winter with a mitten).
The device appears to be well made. I’ve dropped it a few times without any issues and the plastic does not feel cheap and nasty.
If I were to suggest improvements, there would be two. First, whilst not slippy, I’d prefer it to have a grippier coating. Secondly, it’s pebble shaped and so doesn’t fit snugly in the contours of yours hand. As a power bank that might be ok, but as a device that’s meant to be held in the hand, it could do with being more ergonomic. Think of the difference between using your computer house shape and and pebble…. Both of these things, do make it more noticeable when using on a run with gloves than it need be.
EDIT: this thing gets hot! Was using it on the middle setting and it was darn hot, borderline too hot to hold, didn’t try the highest as that would surely have been too hot
Lots of the reviews of this product look paid for / free product was given. I paid for my, be it on a lightning special for 16 I think it was.
What do you get, the hand warmed, little velvet feel cover and usb c to usb c plus little converter to usb a. The whole usb c usage is a result, I wasn’t expecting that.
Anyways as for the performance, this thing gets hot, as per the edit above, maybe I only tried it for a few minutes when I previously reviewed it. You probably want to be using it directly, not with your gloves on unless your gloves are relatively thin. I bought it to take the edge off when doing photography in the cold. It does so which is great.
Problem is my missus has taken possession of it for her commute. She says its nice to swap between jacket pockets to keep her hands warm on the walk to the train. Must work for her too or she would have told me to send it back. You might want 2, one for each hand/jacket pocket. (I ended up buying a second)
Battery life seems pretty good, haven’t tried timing it but lasts a good while. All in all it was what I was expecting, definitely hot enough to be of use so you don’t feel short changed. My missus has had quite a few friends ask me for the link as they wanted one after trying hers. As gimmicky as this might seem, it works and is now a staple in her handbag on cold days.
Feels and looks very well made and nicely packaged. The hot heat setting is almost too hot.
I suffer from manageable Raynaud’s syndrome i.e. as soon as I get cold my extremities like my fingers get really cold. Purchased one to use for golf in the winter instead of using chemical hand warmers.
I used it today in 5 degree C temperature whilst playing golf (kept it in my quilted golf jacket pocket so it wasn’t exposed to the cold ambient temperature ) on the middle heat setting.
It worked very well, but unfortunately gets 3 stars as the battery only lasted about 2 hours to hole 12 out of 18. If it had lasted to hole 16+ that would have got another star and itf it lasted all 18 it would have got 5 stars!
I’d still recommend, but will probably have to buy another one so I can use that when the first has lost it charge….
The user guide does say the battery will last between 2-4 hours, but I had hoped on middle setting to have got closer to 3 hours out of it.
**update: the supplier informed me that battery life is tested at an ambient temp of 20 deg C. At a lower ambient temp the battery life will (as with all electronic products) be reduced**
