Something a little different than your normal chocolate advent calender. Rainbow high dolls charm bracelet advent. The set comes well presented in a flip open box with a pop up display and 2 trays inside to open. Each tray has 12 doors to open, they are fairly small, but do have perforated edges to help open them up. In the first door you get the bracelet to start you off, each other door contains a clip on charm to add to the bracelet or you can pop on to a keychain or zip. The bracelet is adjustable so will fit a range of wrist sizes. Each of the charms are different in design. A metal clip fastening with a plastic pendant attached. Before gifting to your child you really do need to check the inside top layer, like a few others, ours was placed in upside down. If you opened the door, you wouldn’t get one of the charm pieces, just be hit with cardboard. Easy to do, peel the cellotape off, open up and flip the cardboard insert over and close back up. This is quite annoying and a better quality check should have been better to save alot of disappointment when you got to the 1st December. The box could be used a trinket/jewellery box after all the doors are opened. It is a nice set, just there is an issue with the first tray of charms.

This is a really pretty looking calendar presented as a jewellery style box. Once opened, it displays a nice pop up image of the characters and 2 separate removable trays – one features doors 1-12, whilst the other doors 13-24.
The box can be used as a jewellery/storage box once the doors have all been opened.

I ordered this for my teenage daughter who collects the Rainbow High dolls. She’ll love this as the charms are quite nice and bright. The charms are plastic with a metal lobster clasp. They can be attached to the bracelet, hidden behind door 1, or alternatively attached to keyrings, zippers, bags, etc.

Each calender has an inner tray that is covered with tissue paper to the front (keeping the charms in place until the doors are opened), with stiff card to the back. I found on opening that my top tray had been inserted backwards behind the doors (see photo)!
If I hadn’t of opened it up for this review, my daughter wouldn’t have been able to access any of the charms in the first tray.
I’ve corrected the problem and sealed it back up, but it might be worth spending a few minutes checking this just in case you have a similar issue – it could avoid lots of disappointment come December.

Overall, it’s a nice bright calendar, priced reasonably and is sure to please fans of the doll series. Just make sure to check the tray inserts before giving to your youngster!
