This device only has one use, and that is a loud alarm sounds when Co2 is detected anywhere in my house, but obviously placed near to my gas boiler! Biggest benefit is it is powered by a normal battery which is easily accessible! Easy to instal, and is stylish, tested fine!
I bought this item chiefly because it stands on a shelf and remains mobile. Just opened it today, inserted supplied batteries, pressed the test button and stood it where I needed to. It looks as good as such an item can with a clean design. My last one was on a flimsy stand which was broken within a month. This one just stands by itself and is much better for it. I only hope it never has to prove it’s worth but I know I have peace of mind that it sits quietly monitoring the CO levels. It is no exaggeration to say. One day it might just save our lives.
