ever spent any sort of money on keyboards before. Maybe 30$ for one but I generally got a new one every 3 years or so as a refresh. Finally ordered a nice new computer rig and some new screens and i kind of wanted to finish my setup off with a nice keyboard that had some lights involved, some weight so it didn’t move around like my cheap ones, maybe some custom key settings, wanted a fuller size board but didn’t need a 100% but wanted a number pad…. so anywhere from 20$-200$ i looked, i wasn’t going to do 200$ honestly but I looked as my roommate was a serious gamer and had nice stuff so I knew what to look for on quality mostly. Figured $125 tops. Red dragon had good reviews, some Logitech’s looked nice, and a few other generic brands like that are popular. This was on sale for 64$ and had everything i wanted. Great decision. Awesome rig, keys and feel is spot on. lights are bright. a lot of settings for them. and my favorite color is blue so this model is crackin’ in my opinion. Id give there other things a shot, but give this brand a try i don’t think you will disappointed.

This is the most I’ve ever spent on a keyboard. I looked at Alienware but wasn’t impressed by the reviews I’m so glad I bought this based on customer reviews.
My child is autistic and she says the keyboard feels nice and sounds nice when she presses the keys.
    Thank you so very much.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEn claviers DIY et custom je commence m’y connatre.

UPDATE: although i still love this thing for the most part, it doesnt work when trying to get into uefi, or bios (although i have not tried the dongle) i feel as if “wired” mode, should make it a no brainer that it should fire right up and be mashing DEL to allow me to get into bios options/UEFI to “oc my ram timings” so, for this minor annoyance, im knocking 1 star (something i honestly really never do) usb-c to usb-c is what im trying this with. on the cable that was included. So again, i see no reasons this should not work. Other than that, battery life is WAY better than my razor basilisk ultimate mouse. to which, the mouse has a tiny battery anyways. either way, this wouldnt (maybe?) stop me from purchasing. as the dongle/usb-usb-c? mode may allow the keyboard to work. (b550 gaming edge wifi motherboard, 5800x so i dont think thats the issue) could be the cases usb-c header but???? the keyboards where im laying the blame.

Honestly considering I’ve used a g413 carbon keyboard for the last 5 years (with having to re solder new keys etc) I’m rather impressed at how well this rk98 does. Btooth mode is what I’m using currently, and it just works. The software was kind of hard to find even tho it is in the manual. I found it thru Reddit, either way it’s very customizable to however you wish to use it. With 3 different profiles to use on the keyboard, and the software allows control as well (way more control in software with the included USBC cable). The cable, MAN does it seem like it’s pretty well made? Used it on my phone and sure enough, it supported fast charging at 50w. It comes with 4 settings or maybe 5 of brightness selection which I’m all for. It’s not to big, but big enough that it has num keys which is why I went with this design. So far I’ve not charged it, came with full charge out the box (says windows it’s fully charged, now at 80%) it sleeps pretty fast, and wakes as it should too. Honestly, I was surprised at the plastic sleeve it came in bc well that seemed like high quality products inside. To which, again. It most definitely seems like it. The keys are pretty easy to use to which I’m pushing on air. Almost wished I’d went with tactile feedback. Never the less, if it stands out like the prior keyboard mentioned did, I’ll be more than happy! And would purchase and suggest others purchase this! (You don’t need do take this apart nor solder anything to repair or replace a key btw!)

Great keyboard. I did lube the switch’s and o-ring the keycaps. Highly recommend. Only disappointing think was the lack of Mac keys as it has a Mac mode but on windows and alt keys no command and options keys.

Needed a new keyboard and this one looked good and the price was competitive. Really nice feel to the keys, my only annoyance is that it is usa keys and there is no backslash which I find a little annoying. Also some of the keys are different and the return key is a bit on the small size compared to other keyboards. Overall though I’m really pleased. If it wasnt for the missing backslash key I would have given it a solid 5

This is the most expensive keyboard I have ever bought, but have to say worth every penny. My only niggle is that the @ key is not uk layout but I can live with it.

Firstly the company name, Royal Kludge, sounds rather suspect considering what it means in English. Some are going to be put off by that, which is a shame.

Beyond the name it’s a fairly heavy keyboard for the size, which is nice, it’s not going to move when typing. The keys are softer than most mechanical keyboards but that for me makes typing just a little faster and is easier on the finger joints. The smaller area does not really help or trouble me, it could be useful if I moved the keyboard around or had limited room but that isn’t the case.

There could be an option for key caps having transparent letters to show up in the dark if needed. Option of UK alternative keys would be nice too, there are only a few different ones. Otherwise the black on white keys are adequate for normal lighting. Everything else seems fine after three days. I really have not put a lot of pressure on it yet.

Overall if you want to spend a bit more on a superior keyboard you can easily do a lot worse than buying one of these.
