Arrived early and well packaged. Lovely bird box well made and very sturdy. As we have bigger birds and squirrels that frequent our garden we have fitted it near the top of an seven foot wooden structure. We have inserted within a green meshing kiln dried silver birch elongated bark to create a small tunnel into the bird box to deter predators. In addition we have clematis growing over it to camouflage it. Being too late for this year for the little birds to procreate we are hoping it will prove ideal for either a robin, wren or blue tit to nest in next season. We have observed recently a blue tit and robin investigating it so wait in anticipation.
Lovely little nesting box. I put it up this year for hopeful use next breeding season once the birds know it’s there and trust it.
