Over this is great value for money as it is cheap for what yoou get. I have 3 issues worth mentioning.
The ‘Chuck’ on the small hand held extension is very soft and from prolonged opening and closing almost become rounded and i have now resorted to a vice grip to open and close it.
Depending on the angle you are holding the small hand held extension and the bend or shape in the lead it cause a severe vibration that can be uncomfortable to hold and work with.
Lastly, this point ties in with my previous point – depending on the angle or shape of the lead it can vary the RPM significantly, if working on hard to get at areas (which is what the extion is for) and you have an awkward bend on the lead a small movement in another direction can severly alter the RPM even when it is set at a constant.
Great little rotary kit with all you need to tackle every task. Compact case with tools, guides and guards plus Flexi drive. Perfect for those little jobs where you can’t justify a dedicated tool you might never use again or often enought to be worth the outlay.
For the price you get a box full of bits drills standing and cutting attachments. I guessing it might not last as long as the much more expensive well known Drem……but for the price you could get two for the price of the other.
There are more expensive brands and that is a temptation but I weigh up use against cost and the last one lasted around 10yrs and that too was within this price range.
It seems to have a decent enough quality in the build upon looking yet inside I have not seen its workings to be truly honest. It spends its time suspended when in and out of use and looked after and unless its thrown around and abused it should last.
There is a decent selection of attachments in the box for use in most projects and it is an easy bit of kit to use. The speeds are helpful and easy enough to use with the selector, although I hardly ever go to its maximum rev as I have no need and it easily cuts through the wood at at the rate I choose.
Am I happy…..yes, I didn’t spend a fortune, it will take most accessories from other brands too, where I can still use chucks and tools from previous machine. It cones in a tidy little case and would consider it as a gift for someone should I have the need.
The drill did the job it was purchased for without any problem. I would mention that the attachments must be inserted into the chuck to the depth shown in the instructions and the chuck should frequently be checked for tightness.
While I have only given this tool limited use, I have no complaints about it’s performance. It also appears to be a well made piece of equipment.
The seller, asked me to read the manual and also provided me with a diagram to assist me. I informed him that this had already been done. He got back to me promptly. asking me what I like to do. We came to an agreement that suited both of us. I must say that he seem to be a decent, and very fair. Someone to do business with. He is also very shrewd.
The other issue is the lock button This has to be depressed, to stop the chuck of the main unit turning. It’s quite pointed and has to be depressed quite hard, it then sticks into your thumb, so the use of one of the small polishing wheels is advised. The seller said that he would get in touch with his manufacturer and see what can be done to modify it.
However, when it works it’s a good bit of kit and does a fine job.
