Bought this for my son’s birthday and he loves it! My husband and I have both enjoyed playing with it too.
It’s sturdy and feels like it will last a long time
The exceptional look and design of this fantastic puzzle block provides hours of fun. I bought this for my 4yr old grandson but when I noticed that in the description section the advice was that the Shashibo was unsuitable for children younger than 8yrs of age, I thought I had made a terrible mistake. However, I showed him how to manipulate the cube and he was impressing me with how quickly he picked up the ability to create so many wonderful shapes. It turned out to be an ideal gift.
My 7 year-old loves his cubes (he has 4 now for bigger creations). Though a bit pricy, it is one of the toys he plays the most with, trying to create more shapes and he has bought himself extra ones with saved money to create bigger shapes
Very addictive little cube! A little over priced when you can get them so cheap from tik tok but the quality seems pretty good. We haven’t tried the others. Bought as a Christmas present so didn’t want it to be disappointing.
Son has spent hours creating different shapes and generally absent mindedly playing with it.
For parents who want to persuade their kids to reduce their screen time , the shape-shifting box might do the job. The children who try it out will need to have high IQs – and possess a logical thought process. There are probably some autistic children who will be brilliant at it. If you’re a parent, you’re probably already behind the curve. To avoid embarrassment – it’s best to just leave it to the kids.
I kept seeing these on various social media reels and thought my daughter and myself would like them but though they might be a bit rubbish and poor quality. I was reluctant to pay for the more expensive ones but the cheap ones wouldn’t arrive in time so I ordered 2. I was so wrong, we both love them. They are really good quality, well made and change shapes smoothly. They are magnetic and hold their shape. The stickers are well stuck on. They don’t rattle as if there is something loose inside them when shook. I did think they were a bit small, I’d expected bigger but they are the perfect size to comfortably rotate, any bigger might be uncomfortable to hold.
(Don’t be fooled by cheaper ones as I’ve just bought some to try and they are very different to these. Loose magnets inside so don’t hold shape, stickers are only thing holding them together and they came off after a day of playing with them, very clunky and noisy when moving so I asked for a full refund. )
These have been played with none stop since Christmas day and passed around different family and friends, children have had a go and still look as good as new. They might seem expensive at first but they have been worth it. I did get them at a reduced price of 17.99. I would definitely buy more as they attach together to make loads of different shapes so I can’t wait to see what we can make with 3 or 4 of them.
I’ll admit I spotted a copycat of these on a video app for a fraction of the price but, I like to buy authentic/original products when I can especially with puzzles as you know the quality is what it should be and it functions as it should, who knows how many copycat puzzles I’ve bought in the past just to find they don’t work or fall apart.
And, this is the original product.
I found myself sitting on the sofa and reaching for this, a few flips and bewilderments later landing on a stable shape & putting it back on the shelve just for an hour later to grab it again, the search for the Cube and how to get to the cube from all the different shapes etc is mesmerising.
Anyway, I ended up buying 4 more of these while they were on sale as Christmas presents.
Rating 4 stars because they are very expensive, at half the price would be a no brainer purchase id probably buy more to just combine & make mine bigger but not at full RRP.
Got this for my sons 12th birthday and he loves it so much.
He even took it to bed, for at least a week, and played with it instead of reading before sleep, which really surprised me, as he loves reading. So I reckon that’s a huge sign of success!
Thinking of getting another for Christmas to see what other shapes can be made with two!
It’s is lovely and compact and would make a great stocking filler
I bought this for my grandsons birthday he was a little disappointed as how small it was as it looks bigger in the picture
I didn’t read the full description or measurements
Great puzzle but it is too expensive for what it is.if the price had been reasonable I would have bought three. It’s for part of my grandsons Christmas gift.
I bought this a couple of days ago and I can stop playing with it. There are so many shapes you can make and I keep finding new shapes. It’s also great that you can interface it with other cubes and I look forward to owning more so I can try it.
The envelope was gigantic, but the item was really small so the envelope ensured it could not be accidentally overlooked. It’s a gift for a 12 year old so not yet tried. Looks exactly like the pictures and can’t fault supplier’s customer care
Honestly an absolute belter of a toy, especially if you struggle with needing to do something with your hands while you think or sit watching something else.
I have dyspraxia, so stuff like this always fascinates me, the only problem you’ll have is putting it down!
When it’s all packed up it’s small but it’s honestly amazing how big you can make it unfolding and folding.
And every time you make a new shape it makes this really satisfying clicking noise I’m in love with
Can’t recommend enough
