After carefully studying the slug population of my garden (think night time visits donned with a head torch) I unfortunately did not have the coveted ‘leopard slug’ just the ones who ravage everything in sight.

These slug traps work – cheap lager and away you go. Goodbye slugs, hello novice grown broccoli!

These do work however unleas you luce near a pub and get get dregs etc does become expensive filling them up with beer! Saying that we had a few out of date bottles so used those. I reuse them maybe upto 5 times but have them scattered all over the garde

Find out where they hang out and place it there. You can buy 4 tins of 2% bitter at Asda for 1.20, they don’t deserve John Smiths. Don’t fill it up too high, the level rises as more slugs are pissed to death, resulting in them sliding back out.

Can work out a little expensive if you have a mass problem with slugs and snails as you have to keep replacing the beer and the local fox keeps ripping them up for some reason. It’s a bit grim but it works well.

I bought a box of 18 cans of beer for this product which cost more than the traps but the slugs sailed merrily past totally ignored for 3 days and I thought they didn’t work but now on the 4th day slugs have started going in the trap.

My garden has been inundated with slugs. i have been using these for three days (two a night) now and each morning they have been full of slugs.
i refrained from posting a photo as some people wouldn’t appreciate a pic of so many slugs, drowned in bee

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExcellent product. So far have cleared about 400 slugs from my garden with 8 traps (it is disgusting though, lol). It doesn’t catch 100% (some slugs seem too clever to get stuck) but it sure clears a large percentage. My tomatoes and hostas have survived the summer. Noticeable reduction so will keep going.

I use four of these as a test the first night i received them to see if they actually would work.i used cheap beer ( i dont drink the stuff so naturally got the cheapest i could find) and used a funnel to fill so much into the bags.as the picture of one shows it worked, though all x4 bags had slugs in.the only reason its 4 stars instead of 5 is because picking them up n emptying is a bit messy no matter how careful you try to be.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worked for me!
