Love these! We have made a lot more space in the wardrobe and cupboard for using these bags. Game changer. Brill for unused bedding/pillows etc. super easy to use.
I have bought loads of vacuum storage bags before and you really do get what you pay for with these. They have great capacity, plastic isn’t flimsy and thin, easy to seal and so far (fingers crossed) no leaks. Very pleased will almost certainly buy again.
I’ve used other brands of vacuum bags, but they usually disappointed. These bags, however, seal well and maintain the seal. I used to use a vacuum cleaner to extract the air, but I have found that the manual pump that is shipped with the bags works very well.
These work well as directed.
If in doubt order the next size up to ensure your items will fit.
As long as you exclude as much air as you can by squishing the bags, I found the included hand pump was effective.
3 months on from when I packed my spare quilts, blankets & pillows, they remain sealed.

The variety of sizes was nice to be able to pick what I needed for storage, the pump worked wonderfully too! Especially if you don’t have a vacuum or one that’s tubular to fit on some other, this is a great way! I’m using it to store clothes to help move between uni flats, seal is good, just be prepared for it to occasionally pop off of you put too much stress on the screw part. Obviously, it takes a biiittt of work to suck out as much air as one can with the pump, a few more minute has to be set aside to account for that when packing up. Other than the pump occasionally popping off of my bags towards the end, it’s a great purchase. You might want to invest in a small hand held vacuumed if you’re planning on doing a lot of storage instead of just something that can fit in two suitcases
When I bought these bags I decided I was going to wait one year before writing a review. The reason being is that I was fed up in the past of buying other vacuum bags that slowly started to re-inflate within months or the plastic would deteriorate and tear. So I thought I’d take the financial plunge and go for the branded version and test the lifetime guarantee. Well to say I am impressed is an understatement. I bought a pack of two jumbo bags and was so impressed, I ordered that same day the pack of mixed sized bags. I’d give them five stars more if I could.
First of all, they must suck every particle of air that is hard to recognise what was in there to begin with. Double sized duvets, sleeping bags and pillows have been vacuumed since December 2018 and still no release of air. It is now January 2020. To compare, I vacuum packed a sleeping bag with a storage bag from a discount store and it re-inflated after a couple of months. Bags used to pack away seasonal clothes have been vacuumed twice now and re-inflated. There is no sign of the plastic becoming worn either and this is with the bags being stored in a dusty loft.
Then I tested the lifetime guarantee. I had a bag for a year and went to vacuum seal it and could hear the air release when I finished but could not see a tear or hole. I emailed spacesavers to ask for a replacement under guarantee and got a reply within the hour. No fuss, no questions just an apology and asked for my address. And this was on New Years Day!! I ended up apologising for the email as I was expecting an automated acknowledgement not an actual reply. Replacement bag arrived four working days later.
I’ve recommended them to all my family and friends and they all agree spacesavers are best they have come across. My daughter now uses the jumbo bag when she and family (husband and two small children) drive to us for a visit. Jumbo bag work better than suitcases in the car boot.
My only negative feedback is the hand pump is rubbish. Doesn’t work as good as a vacuum cleaner, so I would only use them for travelling if there is a vacuum cleaner at each end of the journey. I stop short of asking hotel house keeping for a loan of their vacuum cleaner :-)! I’ve now got three hand pumps from my successive orders which I won’t use. For the sake of environment I would suggest spacesavers remove them from the packs and make it a separate order item.
