The Dinosaurs looks quite realistic (although obviously not life-sized!), and moves around pretty well. It works best on hard floors or thin carpet.
The remote is cool, and is easy to control. The sound is a bit rubbish, but not terrible. Adds to the effect I suppose!
The only snag is that the legs have a tendency to fall off, especially if it crashes into something. They’re easy enough to put back on though probably best done by an adult as there is a risk of pinching when doing so.
Overall a pretty cool toy for a few hours of entertainment!
Taking on the persona of a Jurassic predator is certainly thrilling. It’s captivating how the dinosaur roars and ambles around, sparking flights of fancy in the minds of young ones. A touch of realism in its movements brings prehistoric times to the present day. The resilient make of the toy stands up to the occasional collision and tumble, extending its life span. It’s noteworthy that the battery life is generous, allowing extended periods of exploration away from screens. However, not being able to disassemble it after assembly could be a limitation for some.
My little boy really enjoys this, great for hand eye coordination and the ones that have beads in make a great noise when he shakes them which he loves; just a little difficult for him to do yet as the pieces are all wonky
I was astounded at what this contained. I bought it for a 4 year old and Daddy put it together but there was so much when complete. We were baffled by the mention of batteries being required and no drill to put them in. There were 2 manual screwdrivers which were all that was necessary but the box is confusing. A really great gift.
Good price, but thought it was bigger cage. The pics of children holding the toys showed them to be larger. It’s a gift, so at this point l can’t say much more.
Bought this for my young great nephew. When I saw thought it different from other learning toys I have bought before and just know he will love it. It seems sturdy and it will teach him a lot about different shapes and sizes.
Great dinosaur toy for kids. Kids need to assembled this dinosaur by themselves. They can practices they hands ability by using screwdriver. This set contains 4 dinosaurs and two screws drivers. My 4 years old love it. Highly recommended as a gift foe birthday or Christmas.
This has caused great fun for our daughter! She loved how she could mix and match the pieces of the dinosaurs how she wanted them to be. It was easy enough for her to do herself, but she also enjoyed how her Dad showed her how to use the screwdrive
Inside the box you get a cage containing the dinosaur pieces, packaged separately, 2 screw drivers and a little instruction booklet. Be careful taking the packages out of the cage as 1 of my bags was jammed inside the cage tight and I cut my finger a little on the plastic cage door, so please be careful.
The dinosaurs go together really well, however the 3 years and over is a little optimistic as you will be assisting your little ones a lot when building these however this will be a great learning opportunity.
The cage is also a little tight, and will happily take 2 built dinosaurs squeezed in, but no more. I dont think this will be an issue when you are all playing along.
Overall these dinosaur build toys are a great addition to your toy box. I would probably suggest a zip up bag to keep the screws in just in case the cage opens in transit so you don’t lose these parts. Recommended for the dinosaur loving kids out there.
Easy picture instructions to follow. Having built a similar model in the range before. I found once you have built one, it’s just easy to build others. Two plastic screw drivers and extra spare plastic bolts were included. The box shows plastic toy electric drill. (This was not included). Good range of colours on all the four dinosaurs to build. Clicking noice when moving their legs that the kids liked the sound of. The cage has a handle that folds down flat on top and is hard for adult fingers to lift up, but no problem for little child sized ones. Both sides of the cage can be lowered at the same time. Most annoying part was that the cage only fitted two dinosaurs in at the same time. And is a tight fit to get their tails and heads in. But the main thing is the children still enjoyed playing with this toy, and found the cage useful for incorporating their other toy figures into their play game as well. So they actually had a lot of fun with this toy. And it is good that it expands their play ideas further, as a way of play and learn.
Right a STEM toy is a toy that enhances, Scientific, Technology, Engineering, & Maths for those not in the know. This is a construction toy so sort of fits in with that. The items come in a big crate. I found it very hard to get them out of the crate simply because they were so packed in. I have only unpacked one to test how easy it was to put together. The leaflet does not match the colours of the pieces so if a child was to follow the leaflet which they would need to do they might be a bit confused. The pieces screw together with the screwdriver. The legs on the T Rex do move as does the jaw. I would want to put the peices for each toy back in a separate bag, so would use a zip lock freezer bag and mark it with the name of the dinosaur. Once the child gets a little older it probably wouldn’t matter if you jumbled it all up. The leaflet is only thin paper, if I was buying this for a classroom I would laminate it so it won’t just tear etc. Putting the thing together with my carpal tunnel hands and not so nimble fingers was still easy, but some children play with real toys so infrequently, chucked in front of the telly or handed a mobile phone that the dexterity to do this might be beyond some three year olds. It would make a good gift for Christmas, but for 3 year olds I think they might need some adult supervision to complete them. As with any toy they are going to be some children who could master this even with the wrong colours on the leaflet by looking at the shapes, even at 3 or 4. They are going to be the future STEM candidates at Uni, while others are going to need quite a bit of help. As always really parents should know their children well enough to judge whether this will be suitable for the age range given 3-8.
