SuplutuX Bird Feeder with Camera, Smart Bird Feeder Camera
SuplutuX Bird Feeder with Camera, Smart Bird Feeder Camera Wireless Outdoor with Free AI Identify 11000+ Bird Species, Auto Capture Bird Video & APP Instant Notifications, 6W Solar Panel, 64GB Card
Why is the camera not working after receiving the bird feeder device?
Upon receiving the smart birdhouse, it is necessary to open the back cover and take out the camera. Then, locate and switch on the button located behind the camera.
Can multiple individuals connect to one feeder?
Only one person can directly connect to a single feeder, but you can share the device with your friends and family if they have their own accounts. Each person’s personal data will be different.
How long does the battery last?
The battery life depends on the camera’s usage time. If you connect the charging cable to the solar panel for continuous charging during daylight hours, it can maintain a charge for several years.
Why are the identification results inaccurate?
The accuracy of the identification results relies on the angle and clarity of the bird pictures. To ensure accurate results, the identifying features (such as the bird’s head, tail, wings, or feather patterns) are not obscured by any obstacles Please
How can videos and photos be saved? Why can’t I find the free 64GB memory card?
Videos and photos captured by the smart bird feeder are saved in either the memory card or a cloud storage service. With the product, you will receive a 64GB TF memory card that has been pre-installed in the camera and free cloud storage for 30 days

My sister has always mentioned how she loves to watch the birds in her backyard and had a small feeder near her living room window. I wanted a feeder that blended in with the tree and surroundings and this fit the bill. Now that she has her new bird feeder, I am constantly getting videos of the many feathered friends that visit her yard. The videos are remarkably clear, it almost seems like the birds are preforming for an audience. She absolutely loves it. I think some of her friends bought one too after seeing hers.
We got the SuplutuX Smart Bird Feeder and have been pretty pleased with the feeder overall.
It took a while to put together as it is a little more complex than your average bird feeder. But overall I think it’s very stylish and a wonderful edition to our backyard.
It comes in a nice box, making it very much giftable for bird lovers. It’s well-made and appears to be of decent quality. It’s easy to install and pair with the phone. The video quality is good, and the notification alert sent to the phone is a little delayed, but it’s ordinary in all wifi cameras.
The solar panel is a great addition, allowing the camera to run continuously without charging. I like that the solar panel also has an extended cable to place it where you get decent sunlight.
However, one downside to this smart bird feeder is that you need to receive decent wifi coverage in the area where you want to place the bird feeder. Otherwise, the camera is useless.
My wife loves this device. She has been ramping up her attempts to find new birds recently, and this device offers her a great way to see more birds. First, the whole thing is very clever – such as the cable to the solar panel. And it is cute. My hats off to the designers. It was easy to assemble and set up. Even as just a bird feeder it is good.
My only complaint is that the squirl defense system just does not work well. It is challenging to aim the sensor right so only the squirls trigger the alarm and not the birds. Worse, the squirrels have become used to the sound. Again, hats off to the attempt, but I will have to mount it on some sort of squire-proof pole, or something. This is the reason I took off a star.
Such an easy to put together bird feeder and it can be loaded up with many days worth of food in the large compartment behind the camera. The camera is very easy to setup on your phone and doesn’t take long at all, the quality of the video is hard to fault and the close ups of the birds look fantastic.
Getting this close and personal with the birds makes you even more appreciative of their beauty and the fact it can tell you the type of bird is pretty astounding. It also saves footage on the 64GB card included.
Solar Panel is a handy addition and stops the battery running out as it tops it up during the day. Good price and great product.
We absolutely love this bird feeder with camera, the good things we like,
Comes flat packed with instructions to build.
Easy instructions and tells you which screw to use for each part, and comes with a screwdriver.
The cover has a snap shut to keep food dry.
The camera system is so good it can double up as a security camera.
Detects movements in close and further away.
Nice size to fit good amount of food in.
Can save photos and videos to phone.
You can also mount this with an included strap around a tree or other structure.
Setting up the WiFi connections can be tricky make sure you have your WiFi password handy before setup
Getting into the compartment on the back of the camera can be tricky, the sd card is in the back.
So camera works very good, it was very easy to install it, and understand how it works, everything is written in manual book, cute to see birds coming to eat as well as its very good protection for my back garden as now I can monitor all of it.
I really like this birdfeeder with built in camera. Assembly and set up is easy although the instruction manual could be better – it did not take long and comes complete with a screwdriver and various mounting options. Rather than permanently fixing it we secured it using the strap provided so we can move it round the garden if we want. Plus the fact it has a solar panel means we can move it to
Maximise the sun throughout the year.
Once set up – the camera APP was easy to install – and easy to connect to my home wi-fi. It comes with a 64gb SIM card for recording- and the picture quality is excellent and clear. It has motion detection and auto recording so you don’t miss a thing.
I love it – well worth it!
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS
This item comes nicely presented, the sort of thing that you would expect to see in a smart garden centre. On opening the boxes you will find the different items all boxed and wrapped separately, there’s quite a lot of stuff here. The instructions imply you build the bird feeder itself first but to that I’d say no. Locate the camera unit first, put it on charge and download the app and connect. When it is all put together, you cannot switch the camera on without taking the rear bracket off again as the tiny on off switch is secreted in a hard to get to position near the charging port and memory card slot so I’d recommend putting it together last.
APP & CONNECTION
I’d highly recommend doing this first as it’s a bit of a faff and easier to do inside. If you’ve installed a wifi security camera you will be on familiar ground. You need to download the iCam+ app and connect to your wifi at 2.4GHz which may mean temporarily disabling 5GHz on your router. Once connected the app will produce a QR card on your phone for the feeder camera to scan and complete connection, this bit worked ok. You can then open the app and begin testing. Note it will point you to paid-for cloud subscriptions but you can disable that in the settings and select the included internal micro-SD 64GB that is already installed for storage. It’s best to format it there and then and also check for firmware updates (none in my case).
BUILD AND SETUP
Then you can complete the physical build which only takes a couple of minutes following the instructions. Note the top lid clicks shut so you have to flex it slightly to open and there are two roomy compartments to pour your food into that then mix together at the bottom tray. I use mealworms in one (goes quick!) and suet in the other though may add different feed to experiment. It does feel quite sturdy in rigid weatherproof plastic and looks pretty good and unobtrusive in a tree setting. I’m in two minds about the perch and may remove it to discourage larger birds or flocks of starlings steaming in as they do.
INSTALLATION
Plenty of screws are provided and a template for the feeder also. The feeder and solar panel just require two screws each and if mounted close together simply plug together but a longer extension USB-c cable is provided if you need to separate them. There is a strap you can use also which could be hooked over a fence post as I have done for now.
IN USE
The solar panel does a good job of keeping it charged and I can mostly log onto it ok despite it being a good 20m and a couple of doors away from my router. As spring is almost on the way and birds are starting to appear I have managed to get vids of a hungry magpie who is now a regular caller, the odd blue tit and robin with hopefully more to follow. It can also act as basic security camera too which is handy and I’ve found a setting to turn the LEDs of which might be off-putting for more nervous birds. Quite happy with this so far, I’m looking forward to seeing more birds close up as the weather improves and I can make my own Attenborough movies
I put this up over at my parents house as they like to birdwatch and feed them already. The first one I ordered had a broken back door that couldn’t be closed so the camera wouldn’t stay in place. The only option I had was to order a replacement item which meant I had to take the first one back to UPS to send back which was a pain to do. But so far this one is fine. I wish the camera was a little smaller so the hopper could be bigger, but otherwise it’s a fun little addon to have around 🙂
Assembly of the birdhouse was pretty straightforward and the direction we’re clear enough. Materials seem pretty sturdy but I would still follow the directions and have it somewhere with some protection from the elements.
Setting up the software and the camera was also pretty simple, typical qr code scan and network connect. You have the option to purchase cloud storage.
Picture is really clear with solid resolution.
Really I would rate this around a 4.6, it only fell short on two points:
Don’t use the drilling template that came with it. It doesn’t match the actual bracket.
The second is that the latch for top was extremely hard to open and I had to bend it back a bit for it to open without the use of a screwdriver.
Two minor points, I noticed the difference on the template before using it so I didn’t make a bad hole. Otherwise I really like it and can’t wait to start capturing the birds that come by!
– Very easy to assemble and mount (with mount options)
– Seems sturdy and durable
– Like that the solar has an extension to it; very helpful
– Good size and the camo helps it blend in
– Wi-fi connected with no issues at all and the app works well
– Picture is quite clear and better than had expected
– This is such a great gift for a bird lover and really enjoyable for anyone
– Such a neat way to enjoy birds close up without trying to be close or needing binoculars
– Strongly recommended
This is a great video birdfeeder! It’s easy to setup and use and the camera records very clear, high-res images. I placed this on a tree in my back yard. Using the included nylon strap, I was able to attach it without damage to the tree. I like that the solar panel is detached which enabled me to locate it at a different angle from the feeder so that it gets maximum sunlight. Setup and configuration was very simple following the app instructions. I was a bit concerned over the feeder getting a good Wi-Fi signal as I placed it over 100 feet away from the house, but its antenna works well. Note that this odes require a 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi signal, and some modern mesh routers don’t work well with that. In my case, I use an Asus mesh system and it works perfectly with the camera signed-in to the 2.4Ghz band.
The user interface of the app works well. The “AI” function that identifies various bird species is just OK – it often doesn’t recognize all birds, but that’s not a big deal as I just enjoy watching them feed. One feature this feeder has is a rodent deterrent. The nature preserve behind my yard is full of squirrels and racoons. When the camera detects one of the critters trying to raid the feeder, it plays a siren alert that effectively scares them away. The camera also has two-way audio so not only can we hear the birds, we can talk back over the speaker. Of course we don’t do that with birds, but it can help with unwanted wildlife, and also allow us to address any human intruders in the yard that the camera also detects. I really enjoy using this feeder to observe our local birds and highly recommend i
I like this bird feeder. It does work and is built well. The birds came to it on the first day. It comes with lots of mounting options. I mounted it on a beautiful sanded, treated, sassafras tree trunk in my back yard. The solar panel is mounted on the top without needing the provided extension cord. I was able to connect my 2.4 MHz WIFI network with no problem. It also synched up to my phones Bluetooth smartphone for configuration. It does take pretty good closeups of the birds. I had to put it on low sensitivity since I got lots of notifications. During configuration, they seem to push signing up for Cloud storage but I used the local TIFF card for storage. The pics seem to download to my phone – no problem.
However, there are several problems/questions I’m contacting the seller for help (in progress). No response after two days.
1) It’s not obvious how to delete stored pics.
2) When I show the pics on my TV by casting (air play) and click on the microphone button, the app terminates the casting session to my TV.
3) The app crashed once and I don’t know why (firmware Version 1133.0.13.10, WIFI version 63.0.2.9)
4) There should be an option to only use the local storage and not always default to cloud storage for a fee.
5) The AI feature to classify birds may only be available when you subscribe for their cloud services. Doesn’t seem to work with local storage (being investigated).
Bottom line, the hardware all seems to work fine, but the software needs fixing as well as needing cloud storage. Updates to follow.

Thank you again for your suggestions. We appreciate your support in making our product better.
This is a bit of a learning curve. We are having difficulty keeping it connected so hopefully we can figure it out and be able to enjoy our beautiful birds.
This is a very unique combination of a trail cam, a bird feeder, and today’s AI technology. This is a bird nest/feeder that you mount outside your home and it has a camera placed centrally that can give you close up views of whatever birds come to eat. It has a built-in program that can attempt to identify the species of birds. Those into bird watching know that it is very exciting to see a new species but often difficult to tell them apart, as very little differences will determine what type of bird it is.
This camera has already been out in the cold and is performing very well. I have set up the notifications and I’m learning to work with the way that they are given. I am just getting started in this new world of identifying the birds on my property, but this product makes it so easy. It doesn’t take away from the joy of actually birdwatching or feeding them, it kind of enhances both. This is such a creative product and the perfect gift for a bird lover!
We received a bird feeder with a camera as a gift, but that one has been in use for over a year, so we decided to buy the bird feeder with a camera and put it on our back porch. It captures pictures of birds well, and the sensor’s range is accurate enough not to pick up small animals on the ground in front of the feeder. Our original feeder has lasted more than a year, and this bird feeder makes me believe it will too.
Since I made the video, I have assembled it and mounted the AI birdwatching feeder to a tree, and it works great and picks up my Wi-Fi just fine! I was just so excited out of the box that the pieces and parts were all good quality and such a great design! In particular, I really like the way that this one will mount to the bracket you attach on your tree, making it so much easier to remove it and refill with bird feed, or clean it up as needed. Lots of waterproofing and water resistant should keep the camera lens clean and the electronics secure. Really good size solar panel to keep it powered up but I like the versatility of being able to remove it and take it inside and charge it USB also. Another thing that caught my attention when hanging it is that even with the feed in it, is its a much lighter weight, making it hang straight and not hard to fasten into the tree. The app you use it is very nice and has great options. I think the recognition software is pretty on point for birds too. My vision has really declined over the years and despite being able to look out my windows and see the movement or color of birds actually observing them has become more difficult and kind of a bummer, this has brought the birds up close and personal . and I love it!! Would make an excellent gift for any avid birdwatcher or outdoors nature enthusiast!
This is most definitely something that I didn’t realise he needed improving until I got one with a camera. This bird feeder is now topped up as per a normal bird feeder with seeds that I buy for my local garden centre and every time a bird comes anywhere near the feed the camera registers that bird and takes a picture along with identifying it before notifying my phone with the type of bird that is just visited us as well as keeping a list. It’s all run through a rather smart artificial intelligence camera which is powered by a solar panel and as long as it’s kept reasonably close to the house you can then connect it via Wi-fi so that you continually receive updates from it. As far as bird watching or twitching whichever one you want to call it goes this is probably the best thing you could possibly have for a fixed location.
