Does it support both fast charging and slow charging?
Currently only supports slow charging devices, to enable compatibility with older devices.It only supports up to 5V 1.7A charging current.
Does it work as an adapter for headphones?
No, it can’t. It only works as a charging port for Lightning (Female) to USB-C (Male) charging conversion. It can’t realize OTG function including Audio.
Are additional drivers required for data transfer?
No additional drivers or installations are required. As long as the device plug is connected, data transmission is active.
How long does the data transfer connection take?
A prompt appears when the adapter is inserted into the device, but some devices take longer time than others. Please wait patiently for the prompt and do not plug and unplug frequently.
Does it work with iPad Pro/Apple ?
Yes it works, but only for USB-C interface models, and charging speed may be slower. Compatible with iPhone 15 plus/15 pro max.
These seem well made and work well for me, although I’ve only used them for charging my tablet. The tether is a good idea and also works well for me
This is a perfectly serviceable, and apparently decent quality, pair of adapters to enable you to pop your (male) lighting port thingie, as found on some older iPhones, into a (female) USB-3 (iPhone 15 compatible, etc) socket. Which is perfect for basic charging, manually moving photos from one phone to another, etc etc.
Do read the description carefully, however, as there is a long list of peripherals they are not designed to work with; to quote, “This accessory does not support Audio, Square Reader, HDMI, Apple pencil, OTG (which means Mouse, Keyboard, headphones, Network card, Card Reader, U Disk, Flash Drive, Gamepad, External Hard Drives, Printer, Microphone, Camera etc).”
I don’t know about you but that is a list of most of the things I’d hope to plug in, in particular listening to music, a card reader, and a microphone.
This is a neat bit of kit and does solve SOME issues well ( the issues it is designed for, hence the four stars). However if you purchase this to save money, think hard about what your needs may be, because if you still need to use a non compatible peripheral in the future, you may end up shelling out more down the line.
Note: this adapter is not designed for fast charge-style adaptors.
These lightning to USB-C adapters come with rubber straps. They feature a female lightning port and male USB-C connector. Build quality seems pretty good, the adapters have metal housing with a shiny aluminium trim. Connections are firm at both ends and the adapters work well, allowing me to use lightning cables with my USB-C phone. They don’t allow fast charging or OTG connection but for basic charging and data transmission they are fine, so overall I am very happy with these adapters.
