The Expend4bles [Blu-ray]
The Expend4bles [Blu-ray]
THEY’LL DIE WHEN THEY’RE DEAD
In EXPEND4BLES, a new generation joins the world’s top action stars for an adrenaline-fueled adventure. Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone are back, leading the irreverent and indestructible team of elite mercenaries who laugh in the face of death. Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defence and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table.

I think this franchise should now end. Plenty of gung ho, so many heroes. It has plenty of action well ott, but if there’s a 5th installment i won’t be buying.
PLOT…
Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on, the Expendables are the world’s last line of defence and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table.
The expendables 4 is a fun action movie most part with the usual blend of humour and a cool cast. I think the gimmick is beginning to ware off however as its clear not as much effort or heart went into this one, trying to cash in a dying franchise now. Many original stars are absent and the ones that are left are clinging on, its still a very entertaining movie and feels old-school in many ways even if its been done before, this movie make no mistake is clearly a Jason Statham movie as he takes lead in most of the best action while the oldies do less! The new comers are just to fill the gaps, Megan Fox is great eye candy but her and 50 Cent don’t have any skills compared to Statham’s scenes. It was good to see Tony Jaa and Iko Uwais they at least have great fight skills but still very underused. If you love the series like me you will probably be entertained and have fun with it, but you cant help but think this could be the last one unless they really up the ante and go bigger budget!!
Blu-ray has a decent picture quality.

Region B UK. Running time 103mins. 2023.
English language movie. includes Spanish, French. English audio description.

A decent film but definitely not as good as previous instalments in the franchise, most of the big names are absent and the special effects are a bit dodgy in places. Excellent fight scenes and still fairly entertaining.
