This is a nice bag.
Size – I use it as a commuter bag for which it is able to fit laptop, accessories, lunch bag, and gym clothes quite easily.
Comfort – typical cross body satchel. I don’t find it uncomfortable to carry, but for long periods you would be better with a rucksack. It also has carry handles which can handy for navigating trains and buses.
Waterproofness – never had any wet items in the bag after rain
Value for money – on the more expensive side but, I would say I’m happy with my purchase
Customer service – after 2 days a week of office commuting use, the stitching started to come away on the top corner of the bag ( see photo ). I contacted three peaks directly who sent out a replacement within 4 days, so absolutely couldn’t fault the company. The accessory lunch bags and electrical bags also complement the bag well.
All in all, happy with the purchase. Thanks.
This is a very nice holdall/travel bag. First impressions were very good, First thing I noticed was the quality and attention to detail. The bag is jet-black with a bright blue inner lining. The bag holds an impressive amount of clothing if you organise it correctly. It’s a top quality bag, That looks the part to. I’m very happy with it, And would recommend to others!
I go on several short trips in a year and need something smaller than a suitcase, but bigger than a backpack and this does the job just fine. It’s sold as an overnight bag, but is good for weekends or longer summer trips when you aren’t carrying so many bulky clothes. I found this fine for a four night stay in York in early October when it was very warm.
There are two many compartments, both of which can be zipped closed, plus various other pockets. I liked the net pocket which allows the ability to see what’s in there at a glance. There are external pockets, which are good for tickets and other documents. If you travel with electronic devices there is the ability to connect a power bank inside the bag and then connect a phone or tablet through a port on the outside of the bag.
I really like the understated styling of the bag, it doesn’t need to be flashy or look ostentatious to look like a quality item. The size is perfect for stowing in overhead racks or under your legs while on the train, so you don’t need to leave it in the luggage racks at the end of the carriage. Nor is it too big to carry with you for a day, so there isn’t the need to find a left luggage facility. It is very well made, with quality materials used throughout, such as metal strap loops instead of plastic. You feel confident that it is going to last a long time and is well worth the cost for frequent travellers.
I have this with a backpack from the same company and both are well designed and well made.
Nice bag, looks good. It is an overnight bag for sure but you do need to be an expert clothes roller upper. You would struggle to get extra shoes in it plus a couple of outfits and your necessary bathroom ablutions. I sprung for the 2 internal case/bags which allow for tech goodies to be stored along with food/beverage items in the insulated case. It will hold a good 4 tins of gin and tonic so 5/5 there. Ditch those options and you may squeeze more in. The optional internals make it a bit too pricey but I still like it.
The bag’s compact and visually appealing design is a standout feature. It’s not bulky, making it easy to carry and visually pleasing. Inside, it offers ample storage space within multiple zipped compartments, which greatly aids in staying organized. This level of organisation is particularly useful for various items I might take on a journey. One minor drawback is the absence of rubber feet or a protective base, which could have been useful for safeguarding the bag when placed down. The bag’s size can vary depending on how much it’s packed, as it’s not rigid, and while this flexibility can be an advantage for compressing it to save space, it may not suit those with specific size requirements, such as for airline travel.
The overall construction of this bag is sturdy, from the zips to the choice of materials. It feels reliable and robust. The zippers on this bag are of high quality, ensuring they run smoothly and reliably. I’ve had no issues with the stitching, which indicates good overall durability. While the bag is overall well-constructed, I think that more robust pleather handles would be better, but there is a core strap underneath that provides some reassurance. An important point for me is that this bag is made from recycled plastic. It’s an environmentally friendly choice, and knowing that adds to the appeal to a certain extent. However, that material choice means that the interior lining looks like cheap nylon, and I don’t think the contrasting red colour in my example is a good colour choice.
The bag boasts multiple pockets, including a dedicated laptop sleeve, which greatly contributes to organization. Everything has its place and is easily accessible. The inclusion of a USB charging port on the top is incredibly convenient. It allows me to keep my devices charged with the addition of a power bank while on the move, which is especially handy during travel.
The water-resistant exterior has been put to the test in light rain, and it effectively kept my belongings dry. I don’t know how it will stand up to a good soak in the UK weather, but only time will tell. Note that the seams for the font and back outside pockets face upwards, and although this adds to the style of the bag, these are a bit form-over-function and might allow water to collect and seep inside the pocket.
With its canvas finish, the bag exudes a professional look, making it an ideal companion for business trips but also for more rustic situations. Other colour schemes are also available to suit your personal taste. The bag offers ample space and various pockets, making it versatile enough to accommodate all my essentials, or what I deem to be essential, even for longer trips; I am a definite over-packer. Carrying it with the included shoulder strap is comfortable, which is important for extended use. You can always leave the strap off if you prefer.
At its current price point, some may find the bag slightly expensive compared to other options on the market. Given the price, there’s an expectation of more robust durability assurance to justify the investment. For extended travel where more items need to be packed, the bag may not offer sufficient space, and this limitation should be considered.
For someone who often finds himself on weekend getaways or business trips, a robust and functional holdall is crucial. This bag served me well. While traveling, the USB charging port proved handy to keep my devices juiced up. The multiple pockets catered to my organized nature, ensuring a spot for everything. Its water-resistant exterior braved unexpected showers during one of my trips. The laptop sleeve provided added safety for my gadget. Aesthetically, its jet-black finish emitted a professional aura. Yet, the space, though ample, got filled up rather quickly duringlongertrips.
I must start by saying, I absolutely love this.
First off, I will just say I used to use a standard laptop bag and always had that problem of cramming everything in and it being a real mess when I came to use it.
This bag has great separate compartments for everything you need.
I used the external USB connector to connect to a power bank and recently I just connected my phone down to the top of the bag to charge it! This made me smile. I was sitting in a public waiting area with my bag beside me and didn’t even need to open my bag.
Then we have the generous space inside the bag. It holds my 15″ laptop with loads of room to spare.
I even had room for a folder and notes.
This really is ideal for anyone that uses a laptop on the move all day.
It’s not advertised as water-proof, just water resistant but it’s somewhere between the two for sure.
I was out in a heavy rainstorm with it and it was super dry inside, not even the zips area letting in a drip.
I have had water resistant stuff in the past that is only that in light rain, this bag is resistant for sure.
The construction is also superb, the zips have a nice smooth action and the handles are sturdy.
This is my new goto when travelling.
The bag can accommodate quite a lot within several zipped compartments. The bag zips fully open so its easy to access the individual zipped compartments on each side. The zips all run smoothly and no quality issues with the stitching. A charge port is included on the to, the rubber flap lifts up enough to slide a cable in, its not angled 90 degrees from the bag so the cable sits flatter across the top of the bag, a couple of non zipped compartments inside so the back up battery can be stored inside, having a Velcro strap would have helped hold the battery in the pocket but this hasn’t been included.
No rubber feet or similar protection on the bottom of the bag, and while a waterproof outer having some form of protection on the base would help protect the material on the base of the bag if putting it down. Size wise it should be fine for most airlines, having filled it, the bag measured roughly 47cm in length, by 23cm in width and 26cm high, but you could easily compress the bag to 20cm width and reduce the height and length by 1-2cm as its not rigid and will depend how packed the bag is. At the time of reviewing I feel the bag is a little expensive, its great its made from recycled plastic and feels a very sturdy well made bag, more than sufficient as an overnight, weekend bag and should be fine for most airline cabin bag requirements.
This is a superb holdall / overnight bag. It has plenty of space and pockets. The material is tough and durable and it’s a handsome design. Open the zip and you have two separate compartments plus a sleeve for your laptop. Design is neat and clever.
It is made out of recycled plastic bottles! Fantastic!
Only slight niggle is the handles, which feel weak and potentially not as durable as the rest. It’s a kind of pleather material that I think will wear easily. But you have the core strap underneath so overall this shouldn’t be too much of an issue. I think for the price this should be a bit more reassuring.
I am always sceptical about whether certain “premium” items really are worth the cost, and I am known as someone who wants a lot for my money (my last weekend bag lasted over 15 years and only cost 20!). So, for a travel bag to cost 80 (at the time of the review), I expect it to wow me. I have to say at first glance, I am a little wowed!
This bag screams quality! From the faultless stitching, to the sturdy feel of zips and clips, this is a bag that means business. It has so many pockets (1 zipped on the front and back, 2 main ones, a mash zipped bag, a laptop compartment – easily enough space for my 15″ laptop). All of them secured with either a zip or a quality strap, once your stuff is in, it’s staying in place. There is more than enough room for mine and Mrs “wild and beardy”‘s weekend clothes.
The bag is made from 100% recycled bottles and it comes with a cardboard tag tied on with jute (only let down by one small piece of sellotape which sticks the bit of cardboard the shoulder strap comes in). Again premium quality here. The material of the bag feels nice and I have no doubt it will repel water. I love the “satin-esq” blue interior (very classy) and little additions like the strap to hold the handles together are very nice. The shoulder strap feels nice and is thick enough so you should be able to carry it without hurting your shoulder). The USB port enables the charging of a phone from a laptop or power bank, without having to take them out of the safety of the bag – very useful.
I will have to see how well the bag holds up, but I am very impressed so far and will update my review as it gets more and more use.
It is a very well designed and spacious bag. I recently used it for a weeklong work trip and it held everything well. 4 stars rather than five is I feel the handles and feel a little flimsy, especially when loaded with a weeks worth of clothes and laptop. No signs of strain so it did cope fine
I’ve been searching for a back like this for quite a while and after stumbling across this one, I won’t change it. This bag has everything I need and more. It’s compact, it’s visually appealing and there is a lot of storage in it for the size. I’ve used it a few times for weekends away and trips for work etc. However, I’m excited to see how I get on with it for a longer break. Using it for a week holiday and I have no doubts it will be perfect!
