Its the biggest capacity of others in its class but is also the biggest by dimensions so its just a bit oversized for my briefcase. Wish it had a cordless charging pad like some other other brands. But the power is definitely there
During unboxing i noticed just how solid this was.
It has a quality feel.
I finished the charging process with the supplied USB C charger, then took it up to where my motorhome was.
Connected to the battery jumper locations and the camper fired right up.
Saved the day. Put it back into its hard carry case.
Thankyou.
I used to have a large jump starter, which worked OK so long as I remembered to keep it charged. I saw this and liked the idea of being able to charge it whilst driving via its USB port. Then on a very cold morning I went to start my motorhome, and it didn’t! I got my new charger, connected it to the battery, turned the ignition on and the engine fired up. Job done. Fantastic piece of kit.
Not the cheapest by a long way but if it gets you out of trouble once it’s a good buy.
Bought as a Christmas present for my son. He goes camping, canoeing and other activities. A good high capacity power pack is just what he needs. He may never use it but if it gets him out of trouble once, it’s a good buy.
I saw this tool on ‘The professional Struggler’ on YouTube. Had to get one and after a few days whilst at a supermarket a very old lady asked if I had jump leads. Apparently her friend had left his lights on. I took the top Don over and the old boy said the leads are too short. Connected the clamps to the terminal and the look on the old boy was priceless. Great tool. Always in the boot for me and others.
Having seen this item on youtube start a tractor that had no battery I was impressed and bought it. I’ve had it a month. Winter is here my cars are usually reliable but not always, those around me not so much. I have used it twice to start other cars. It is Sooo much easier that using jump leads and seems to just do the job without the usual wait with jump leads. I’m very pleased with it. It’s not cheap but it does the job with no fuss so for me worth it.
My 3litre diesel Landcruiser has two 80ah batteries, it also has something draining them, possibly the dash cam. After a week or so of not using tha car it sometimes won’t start and I’ve either had to get jump leads to it from my van or take the batteries out and recharge them. The Topdon booster is awsome. It arrived half charged so I charged it to full then gave it a go. I hooked it up and my motor started first go. It has done so three times so far no problem and the booster is still at 75%.
It’s comes in a sturdy case which sits neatly under the driver’s seat.
I will sort out the parasitic drain eventually but until I do this thing gets me going in no time.
Highly recommended.
This product is seriously good value , I’m a garage owner and familiar with non starting engines ! I’ve used this product quite a bit the battery boost function is a good help for totally dead larger engined cars , it will start a car that is totally flat with ease , it will not give endless cranking if the engine is not starting eg out of diesel ! But is a really high quality item and the torch is superb
This booster does what it’s meant to do and, so far it seems to do it well. It comes in a hard (‘ish) case and was 75% charged when I unboxed it. I bought this to replace another booster that has failed on me and from the reviews it seemed a good product. Here comes the big ‘BUT’ It’s definitely not as robust as my previous one and you don’t get a charging adapter with it, as it’s charged by a USB-C cable, and you need to supply your own adapter. I’m not sure which cable you would use for the DC output port or what you would connect too and the top flap that covers the USB ports will not close properly once opened. All that being said, if you can get this on a deal at under 80, then it’s probably a good item to have in your car for emergencies. I’ll update once I’ve used it further.
I am currently using it as an portable emergency power source. The dc 14v to16v is good for my oldie radio which I use regularly. I have not used the jump starter facility as yet, but with winter around the corner, it might be useful to kick start a battery. I have given 4 stars as the type C USB supplied cable failed to charge the JS2000 via a 33W 5V/3A charger. I purchased a longer type C cable from Amazon and it worked well with the charger to get a full charge of 100%. So far, no issues with the JS2000. The solid case also holds my long type C to type A usb cable, my 33W, 5V/3A USB charger , my DC to DC connector cable.
Did you know that the number one reason for call outs to the breakdown services in the UK are battery related problems. This is even worse in the winter as the cold weather means that battery performance degrades. With winter on its way it is sensible to start planning for what could happen if your car breaks down or your battery goes flat.
Traditionally you could carry a set of jump leads or hope you can find someone else with a set if your battery went flat. Then get them to move their car next to yours and charge your battery. But what happens if you can’t find someone because you are in a remote location or it is late at night in a city street?
With this clever bit of technology I can jump start my own car and not rely on someone else if my battery has gone flat and left me stranded. I can now simply connect to my battery using the supplied leads. Wait a couple of minutes and then start the car.
It also has a torch built in and you can use it to recharge your mobile phone if it’s battery has gone flat,
Most cars have a spare wheel or a puncture repair kit in case of punctures. I believe that buying this jumper pack is a small price to pay to give me some confidence that I could get my car restarted if I accidentally leave the lights, or something else, on and drain my battery.
