This is an excellent good-value basic entry-level astronomical telescope, and would make an ideal gift for a young person starting to show an interest in stars/planets and astronomy. It has all you’ll need. It is rather lightweight (which might be an advantage for smaller users), but, for its very reasonable price, seems adequately sturdy and well-made. It comes complete with two interchangeable eyepiece lenses of differing magnification, and an aluminium tripod. I would’ve loved this as a child, and I can certainly think of some young family-members who will throughly enjoy using it. Happy to recommend. Five stars.

For the price this is a fun product and could make a good gift for a child interested in astronomy.

Some other reviews complain about the quality but I think for 22.99 (at time of review) the materials are actually good. You can’t expect premium materials at a budget price.

It’s not the greatest telescope you’ll ever see and it’s not going to be making any amazing discoveries but its definitely a good option to begin testing out. There’s even an app which is easy to download and use.

If you want a more premium option check out Celestron products but this does make a good entry level telescope and my young cousin who’ll be the main user seems to be very happy.

Although listed as being a telescope for “children” this small telescope has a decent performance that would suit most beginning adult astronomers!

Considering the price it’s unbelievable that this telescope comes with a laser finder to enable the easy selection of objects in the night sky without the searching involved with a simple telescope.

Two eyepieces are included, a 20mm and a 12.5mm, which will give you two useable magnification ranges.

The tripod is basic and does not have any “tracking” functions found on more expensive setups but for the price this isn’t to be expected.

The only piece of the kit that isn’t up to par is the ridiculous mobile telephone adaptor and I would be very surprised if anyone manages to get any images using this.

The telescope itself is capable of high quality imaging and could be purchased as a starter kit with a view to upgrading the tripod at a later date.

However, at less than 22 for the full setup there’s not much to complain about.

I got this telescope because I wanted to start learning more about the night sky, particularly by observing the moon and other celestial planets including one of the brightest in the sky – Jupiter!

Having never owned a telescope before, I’ve nothing to compare it against but I’m genuinely impressed. This kit allows me to zoom into the moon, revealing intricate details like craters, and I even managed to capture views of Jupiter, with a hint of brown crossing near its equator. Now that’s surely impressive in anyone’s starry eyes – pun intended!

The simplicity in setting up and ease of use makes it an excellent, affordable no-frills option for beginners, like myself. At this stage of my stargazing journey, this telescope offers a distraction-free experience with no fancy technology, to learn about the night sky .

I found this kit to be really lightweight, with its aluminium tripod, making it convenient to explore different angles. The caveat due to its lightweight design, is the few moments of instability I experienced while positioning outside. Although, a minor concern, I couldn’t help but think a larger one, perhaps more expensive with big technology, might offer greater stability.

Overall, this starter telescope is an excellent choice for beginners seeking a no-frills introduction to stargazing and offers exceptional value for money given the low price point.

You get a nice telescope that’s a great starter set up for young children. It gives you two eyepieces one H20 mm and H12.5mm. It says that 600mm focal length, is the perfect length for moon observations. So I am looking forward to seeing how true this is. It’s got a special coating that helps you see the night sky a lot clearer. Its magnifications of 30x and 48x, meaning you should not miss out on craters on the moon. It also comes with a light weight stand, that is adjustable. The whole thing only weights 2kg, so wont be too big to pack up and go find a dark spot to watch the moon. They also give you a phone holder to be able to mount your phone , to see the moon through. But I have not found this very safe and My phone has not thanked me for it yet. But it is a Childs set and they should have a lot of fun, with the car, chairs, hot chocolate, a blanket, mum and dad there excitement should make for a great night moon gazing. Perfect for beginners.

I just got this recently and it’s a very good telescope. It was very easy to assemble, the weight is good and it works perfectly. You’re able to see a lot of detail in the night sky when looking at the moon, the stars are also a lot more clear than the previous model. It’s not an extensive telescope hence why it is perfect for beginners, so they’re able to get used to using one and how to use one. The tripod is very sturdy and it doesn’t feel like the telescope will fall over if you accidently bump into it.

A really great feature is the phone camera, where you can take snapshots of what you’re looking at, which is really good to show people what you saw. A really good overall product for first time users of a telescope.

Budget-friendly but surprisingly feature-rich starter telescope.

This telescope is quite good and features a read-dot sight to help align the lens on a subject to view. The main assembly is straightforward, but a little patience is needed to align and calibrate the red-dot system. The tripod is not very tall when fully extended as it will only achieve 110cm. That’s fine for children but I found mounting it on a table was needed for comfortable viewing.

I wouldn’t call this a particularly stable device. It takes a little patience and gentle persuasion to frame a distant subject into view and finally get it in focus. But as an introduction to long-distance optics, it’s viable.

Two eyepieces are included providing a choice of 30x and 48x. Both work but the 30x is a little easier to use and get focussed. There is also a phone mount with an adjustable elevation mechanism. Some considerable patience is required to get anything like useful photos, but it is possible.

Recently an Astronaut on the ISS dropped a toolbox which is now orbiting the Earth at 17000mph and it is apparently visible to the human eye.
What better time to get a telescope!

Whilst I have owned countless binoculars over the years this is the first telescope I have used, let alone owned, and I’m very much in novice mode so not sure what I should expect.
Unfortunately whilst this does come with instructions they only really cover calibrating the red dot and listing what is in the box with zero instruction for use, nor do they provide any guidance on how to assemble the various parts that come in the box.

It took me about 10 minutes or so using the picture on the box as a reference to put this together then I stuck it under the window in my home office in the hope of spotting something amazing.
Unfortunately until now all I haver been able to look upon is someone maintaining a radio mast on a nearby hillside, the nights have been 100% cloud cover so I’m yet to marvel at any celestial event.

I can confirm that it does work as a telescope, albeit a very lightweight one probably best suited for children, I shall however keep at it and try to spot that toolbox.

Almost forgot, there is a mount for a smartphone which resembles one of those sucker things you put soap on, as yet I have failed to line up my phone lens sufficiently well to take a picture of anything other than the eye cup, this of course may be user error but don’t expect to be taking prize winning shots of the moons surface, it is a novelty rather than a precision instrument.

With its powerful lens and durable construction, you’ll be able to see the moon, stars and planets with incredible clarity. I got this for a friend’s daughter. It’s a nice sized box, the telescope comes with eyepieces, tripod, mobile phone holder and instructions. Requires some minor fitting together, but it’s easy enough.

The telescope and tripod feel lightweight and the telescope has a good magnification.

Quality of the lens glass isn’t going to be of the highest standard, so don’t expect the same quality as a telescope that costs 3 or 4 times the price.

But for adults wanting a casual telescope or for children just getting started with astronomy, this makes a great gift.

This telescope is just perfect for children and beginners, with its easy to use features and lightweight design. It even comes with a mobile phone adapter so that we can observe the moon and planets in great detail. The clarity of the image is quite impressive and we have had a lot of fun exploring the night sky with this telescope. The assembly was fairly straightforward and the instructions were easy to follow. The customer service was also excellent; they were very helpful when I had any questions. Overall, I am very pleased with this telescope and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great telescope for children and beginners.
